When PDI realizes that in 5 days it can get 40,000 players (Just in Europe) in a rally/snow event, it will even forget that more than 3000 are duplicates, and will start introducing rally events in Sport TT. If there are no rally events, it is difficult for a person to enjoy it, nor learn how to drive rally in Gran Turismo.
It would be cool to have snow races in Daily Races as well. Maybe with rear wheel drive street cars. This will probably never happen but one can dream I suppose

Decent lap so far!
Just T1 I’m soo awkward with as I’m not sure what the turn in and acceleration point is like, any tips for it?
Ok I think I’m going to stop there…

Thanks Chris. I changed the sensitivity to 2, did some laps, and I wasn't getting a clean lap, but I was faster. Then I changed to 3 and there I ended up reaching 1.37, even though I had a bad T1 again (29.400), and therefore there are still a few tenths to go. As for daily races with rally/snow, there are usually, at least one per year. In TT this was the first, and therefore, there is no possibility of anyone enjoying/learning rallying in GT.
If a petition comes up asking for more rally events in GT, I'll sign it below.

While waiting for @Gomario JSP 's input on sensitivity......... (that guy is slow...) I did another 10 laps stint, with a miracle improvement but the path to silver is loooooooong for me. I may have catched something in T1, but I need to be able to replicate it every lap now.

This TT is still frustrating but a bit less irritating than at the beginning, and I end up my stint without too much tension now.

A lap around the Nordschleife with the Huracan GT3 after that felt like holidays though 😎

I haven't had time yesterday for playing so I thought to give it a go on snow tonight.
One lap with good first sector.

And then I restart and see I have 29.7 in first sector, so what, let's continue, then sector two and sector 3 pretty good.

1:38.1* with 0.7 slower sector one...

@Lomic

Short answer....... no, doesn't help ( me )

Longer aswer....No, not realy...but.... may have to do with my driving preference....
T1 i was slower on lower sensitivity but more consistent.... but not lower than .300 , but that may be training, but the the one problem i realy had trouble with with lower sens was the trasition from 4 to 6, i just had more trouble getting it sideways, the quick steering input seems to make continuous sliding there and then braking sideways more easy for me.
T8 maby a little easier on the lower setting but not by much, so for me...naah...

Changed it back and immidiately ran .1xx on the S1 again, but ofcours not in a PB lap

@Barareklam I feel your pain, that is the most weird thing about this TT, sometimes you pull out sectors that are insanely fast, but it just never comes together,

Fastest S1 was .107 this morning but had a much faster S3 compared to my old PB lap

A sub 38 on a .419 ,

Then did run a PB at the end of the session, but not that happy about that, there is so much more in it, i think if we nail one complete lap we could be in the .5's

But those stars are not going to aligh

Did stole back exactly one place within top 100 at 27e now
and second on my own loaderboard because @djolliea started paying attention :boggled::boggled::boggled::bowdown::bowdown:

Here are interim results for this regional TT.

EDIT: by the way, if this was a standard TT, it would be the 2nd most difficult of 111 to date, after the tuned Honda NSX at Nürburgring Nordschleife in Dec 2022/Jan 2023.

This sounds like a Clash of the Titans combo 😅

Thank you for the update. Crazy times up there. Still struggling to keep momentum and not get too far sideways. After watching some of the replays I understand the line needed to be quick, but I can't find the grip.

So I've been beavering away with this one, trying to get to grips with GT's attempt at a rally simulation. I'll be straight with you all, I'm not too fond of it. Having rallied in real life to a very amateur level and played 1000's hours across a host of rally games, from Richard Burns rally through to Dirt Rally 2.0, the rallying mechanics in GT7 just feel off in my opinion, and on ice, well;

So I've had to retrain a little to get even close to silver, never mind gold and thankfully, reading the exploits of you guys has helped hugely, particularly with the advice concerning car positioning, the use of CSA and the steering sensitivity settings. After A LOT of fails I've managed a silver time of 1:39.923

I'm not sure if I have the patience to get gold on this one, I'll keep trying for sure but I really struggle from one lap to the next to see where I'm gaining/losing time. This is probably down to the subtlety of the angle the car is at at any given time, and in that respect, I may be paying the price for using my beloved bumper cam as its probably a little easier to judge this with the behind-the-car view.

Thanks to you all for helping me get my head around this combo and serious props to those who've aced it

I headed out tonight onto the slopes to see if I could wangle a Gold out of this combo. I'd fixed on steering sensitivity 5 and dropped the CSA down to 'weak' as it felt like it was hindering the taking of some corners, particularly the 1st turn. I was chipping away nicely and worked on the idea of a 1-2 o'clock turning angle as much as possible to maintain better traction (i.e not sideways, unless I'm trying to slow the car down) and had nailed a few laps and was on for a 1:38.XXX before I nudged the inside of the last turn  Needless to say the controller nearly went out of the window :banghead:

A cup of coffee later I went again and immediately netted a 1:39.271 and into Gold :D I hope this holds but fear it won't, fingers crossed.

It's not usual to have a great T1 (I've already achieved 29.150), but I've always improved my best time with a T1 of 29.4*. My ideal says 37.6*, but without doing a good T1, I won't care what it says.

I absolutely smashed this track when it was a daily race with the Lancia Stratos and the little Toyota, picking up dozens of easy wins. But in this TT I can't get anywhere near gold.
It is possible to conclude that the majority who did daily races were not the fastest riders.

@ikon_313 try to activate CSA (Counter Steering Assist), is a very fake assist but in the snow helps me to reduce the sliding feel of the car and be a bit faster
Thx for the tip. Changed to CSA weak and after some getting used to improved my PB by 0.5 seconds. Usually stay away from using assists besides ABS and at first the car felt a lot lazier on turn-in, but better grip and a lower slip angle helps in following a smoother line. Still a long way away from gold though :scared:

Here's what I've accomplished so far after some 35 laps in:
Gran Turismo™ 7_20241025215621.jpg

I still want to improve my time if I can, I'm trying not to rotate the car too much to keep my momentum but my racing line is all over the place, not to mention I have the feeling I might be doing some corners with the wrong gear... Gold is definitely out of the equation for me, perhaps even Silver.
Despite the absurd alien lap times I'm actually enjoying this TT, it's really nice to step away from the tarmac every once in a while and try something completely different, and this comes from someone who's definitely NOT a rally racing fan!

I really need to pay more attention to some of you guy's videos... it's a constant struggle to find grip with this thing and, as usual, timing your gears and steering inputs just right is essential to maintain a good line through the track, this is true in pretty much every TT but especially on this one it makes a world of difference.

Let's see if I can climb up the ladder a bit more :D
