Yo what's with the Miami Heat? They've been scrubbing it up as of late. Not that I'm complaining, just an observation.

They clinched a playoff berth. They always slump before the post season.

The Raptors are going to die today, the Monobrow has been on fire lately and Valanciunas (or if you're a Hawks commentator, Valleyoonas:rolleyes:) is out injured for this game, lower back strain.

Eh Toronto is actually making a game of it.

But I hope they lose so Chicago can take third.:P Plus Toronto has a hot date with OKC up next.:D

Chicago doesn't deserve 3rd today, they only beat Philly.:P We've beaten the Thunder once, we can do it again!:dopey: (Although I don't like our odds )

Edit: Oh and btw, we may not have had Valanciunas today, but the Pelicans didn't have the Brow either who would have wreaked total havoc without (or with) our big man around.

My Knicks beat the Pacers last night for their 7th straight win. I guess they were trying to impress Phil Jackson. I'm glad he took the job but I am not sure how long Dolan will let him be. I'm guessing somewhere around 2015 Dolan will run him off I hope I wrong but this is James Dolan I'm talking about. I really hope the Knicks get that last playoff spot so that Denver doesn't get a lottery pick.

129-106, Houston in Houston. We knocked off the Minnesota Timberwolves to pick up our 46th win of the season. I couldn't follow most of the game because the radio reception kind of gave out early. Then, I basically stopped following the game and just chime in from time to time. The boys in red just did their thing and took care of business. Like bosses. Our record is now 46-22.

Up next for Houston... two-game road trip. We're going back to the Midwest, but not to get revenge against the Bulls after last Thursday night's evisceration of my team- instead, it's at Cleveland on Saturday night. Then, the two-game roadie ends at the Charlotte Bobcats on Monday night.

Congratulations to all other winners from tonight's games.

BAH! It took 51pts from Durant and two overtimes, and despite being up 7 in the second overtime the Raptors lost to the Thunder.:grumpy:

KD was not very nice tonight to the Raptors. And while the Thunder did get the win, hopefully Westbrook's sprained knee is not that serious and he will be back to playing soon.

After leading by 27 or 29 points, we managed to beat the Cavaliers 118-111 in Cleveland. The Cavs weren't exactly rockin' and rollin' as Houston led (I believe) from start to finish. Just remember- this is pro sports. You win however you can as long as it's within the rules and that you do everything right. With that said, this is really a case of "this game wasn't as close as the score indicates."

The quick road trip ends this Monday in Charlotte. Congratulations to all other winners from Saturday.

I know Cavs lost that game to Houston but it was nice seeing Aussie Matty Dellavedova get back-to-back double doubles with 14pts and 10ast. He's still a rookie but showing he can be a solid reserve point guard.
Raptors today overcame 3 quarters of mediocrity and killed it in the 4th for a win over the Hawks, placing them half a game ahead of the Bulls.

Edit: Raptors Coach Dwayne Casey

Toronto Raptors Casey on what was said before Q4 "I sung them a lullaby... gave them some milk and cookies and said 'let's go'."

Good news! Pacers got beat by the Bulls! They are who we thought they were!

Bad news! Pacers lost some of the precious lead for first to Miami!

We went into Charlotte and picked up a 100-89 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats. The Rockets finally got it going once the offense started clicking. Up next for the Rockets is a game on Thursday night back in Houston as we host the Philadelphia 76ers.

Congratulations to all other winners from Monday night.

Darn you Bulls, darn you! Why must they keep trying to overtake Toronto?! I'd love to see a first round match-up between the Bulls and the Nets, let them wear each other out.:P A Toronto-Washington series would be great to watch as they've been pretty well matched throughout the season (and would be quite a winnable series for Toronto, while I reckon the Bulls or Nets would beat the Raps in a 7-game series). I estimate, from the remaining schedule, Raptors could easily win up to 10 more games yet, health permitting. I hope they beat Cleveland tomorrow, but I also hope Dellavedova puts in a good showing.

Edit: What do you guys think of Derrick Rose's recovery? Is he the new Penny Hardaway, destined to be but a shadow of his former self upon return from so much time off and body damage? Do you think he'll return to MVP level play?

Edit 2: This upcoming draft class is sounding more and more overhyped. Both Jabari Parker and Andrew Wiggins suffered early NCAA tourny exits, Embiid went down with back issues, Exum is (let's face it) totally unproven against tougher competition, and the rest just seem like really good role players.

Here are tonight's matches:

* Toronto at Cleveland
* Portland at Orlando
* Oklahoma City at Dallas (NBA on TNT)
* New York at Los Angeles Lakers (NBA on TNT)

Go enjoy some Tuesday night hoops.

@Paulie: I seriously knock on wood everytime Rose and injury are mentioned in the same sentence. However to Rose's cred, Thibs has said his practices have gone well, though it's not playing the game for 48 minutes, it's still a good sign. And sports medicine has come very far since Penny Hardaway. I mean look at the story of Adrian Peterson of the Vikings. ACL tear, and came back the season stronger than ever. Rose should be fine as long as he changes his game a bit, the Bulls bring in some more help on offense (bring over that Mirotic guy) and Thibs lessens his minutes when warranted.

I think he should play this summer for Team USA to get back onto the basketball court after a long absence.

Yeah if he's healthy enough he should definitely play for USA to get his groove back. There may be some interesting story lines in this year's World Cup if Rose is playing again for the first time, and Exum plays for Australia (first competition against men before his NBA debut).

Edit: Bulls have finally taken 3rd in the East, the cRaptors lost to the measly Cavs today.

Huge Laker fan since I could pick up a basketball. Grew up in the heart of L.A. Not seeing much good happening this year though haha.

Congratulations to the Toronto Raptors on winning NBA's Atlantic Division.

Hah hah, not yet but it was a good day for the old Raps with the Nets and Wizards both losing and drawing level with the Bulls again on beating the Celtics. There are still over 10 games to go and the Nets are just 2.5 games back. Toronto play Boston again Saturday then Orlando after that before versing the Heat, the Rockets and the Pacers consecutively-it will be a tough stretch.

And Aussie fans, don't look now but Dellavedova just had a career best 21pts to go with 6ast in a comeback win against the Pistons. OK, now you can look.:P

I'm glad the Rockets didn't take this as a trap game. We ran over the Philadelphia 76ers 120-98. The Sixers have now lost their 26th straight game. The most important thing about this game was that the Rockets didn't take this game as a trap game with the Los Angeles Clippers coming to Houston this Saturday night. James Harden got a triple-double in this game: 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. This is the Rockets' 49th win of the season.

As I mentioned earlier, our next game is at home against the Los Angeles Clippers. This can be huge for playoff positioning for the Rockets, as we have a chance to maybe go for the 3rd Playoff seed. Oklahoma City and San Antonio are too far ahead to be caught. With 49 wins, a golden (50th) win against the Clip Joint would be sweet. I know I'm a Rockets fan, but part of me wanted to see Dallas chop down the Clippers to size a little bit earlier tonight. *buzzer* That didn't happen, as the Clip Joint won 109-103 in Dallas.

Congratulations to all other winners from tonight's games. Winners... unlike Philadelphia.

[UPDATE] Harden had 10 REBOUNDS, not blocks. I made the needed edits.

The Western playoffs are going to be amazing, the Eastern playoffs will be about who can avoid the Heat and Pacers the longest before the Heat and Pacers go to the Finals.

26 straight losses for the sorry Philadelphia 76ers after my Rockets creamated PHI. Many, however, say the losing streak gets snapped tomorrow night when they host Detroit. Do you think the Sixers will snap that losing streak tomorrow night? Or... what if the Sixers fail again and be all alone in the longest losing streak in NBA history? This long losing streak is also one of the longest in any of the four major American sports.

So what do you think about all this?
