After watching some videos on youtube, I think the tire sound is more like the first NFS.
Lol, well, this game is going back to the basics right?

This was captured from an high-end PC. PC version looks better, from what I've read
An interesting first look at SHIFT by the guys at Giantbomb:http://www.giantbomb.com/quick-look-need-for-speed-shift/17-1351/
Near the end he turned the assists off (although still left it in casual mode as opposed to Experienced or Pro mode).

Not sure about the "works" mod though

Anyone else think this game might be a GT5 killer?
On a PC the graphics will be better than GT5 and early word seems to indicate better physics, better sound and better driver's experience.

I have had a PS3 gathering dust for two years just waiting for GT5
Not a proper GT fan then as Prologue has been out less than that time
The loading times are incredibly long, I know it's on 360 but let's hope that it will be shorter on the PS3.
Any idea what sort of PC it was? I'd love to know how well it'll run on my E6600 with an 8800GTS 320mb.
Rod, on Speedhunters answered a guy in the comments with this sentence : "Rav3n these screens are done with a full blown gaming PC (sorry i'd have to look up the specs)"
@ MowTin
Scaled-down captures always look nicer anyway. Rod certifies this screenies are untouched.
I don't know about past NFS games but SHIFT comes with PHOTOMODE that's easily accessible during races- pause>menu>photomode- so most of these PC shots are probably from photomode where there will be added AA and other image improvements you normally get from the mode.

Yesterday I played GT5P on an 46" Samsung LED TV by an friend. I had forgotten how good GT5P was looking! I don´t think that any game can touch the GT5(P) graphics!
