Need For Speed: Most Wanted 2012

As much as it hurts me to say this, the game just keeps giving me "thousands" of reasons to drop it: so today I was unlocking every mod for the Movie Legends cars and finally when I was about to unlock the final mod for the Shelby GT500 in the Smash and Grab event my PS3 frooze 7 times in a row.

In this map you have the location of every car in game but keep in mind that you also have the 10 Most Wanted racers that you can find in the Most Wanted list, after you beat them in a race you have to take them down to unlock their car.

Just don't forget what I have told you earlier today, there are 10 cars that cannot be found parked throughout the city, as they must be unlocked by beating the rival who owns the car. To beat the rival, you must first face him on a head-to-head race (You can find these racers by going into EasyDrive and then Most Wanted Cars). If you win, the Most Wanted driver will them flee away and you must shut him down to win the car.

Ouch! Had similar issues, but not quite as bad, on my Xbox. Was working on a Gold for one of the Hard events I simply couldn't crack. After many attempts of trying I finally managed to grab the Gold, only to have the game freeze on me for me to have to do it all again. :ouch: Game froze just after I shut down the Agera as well, so I had to do that again, though that wasn't quite as much of a drama. Don't want to imagine having the game do either of that seven times in a row. I'd be feeling like throwing it somewhere too.

I did found a temporary solution for the problem a few minutes later. I just removed the game data (not the save file) and installed the patch again with the DLC's and it worked, most likely I had a corrupt file so that's why it always crashed when I was 10 seconds away from finishing the event. Plus it looks like I am not the only one with the problem that I stated above -> Ship to Shore Event Issue

Not sure whether it would apply to the Xbox, but seeing I don't even have that DLC (yet), I guess I won't have to worry about it (just yet).

Well 10 freezes in 1 day is too much so i'm gonna drop this game completely until Criterion fixes this with another DLC which is the only thing that they care about, I might aswell return to my beloved NFS Hot Pursuit.

I don't play that game anymore because I got tired of the 5 to 10 minute load times switching between menus. The one update for the game did that but EA pulled the plug on the game before CG could fix it.

Now with MW, it's not CG's fault it's freezing. The PS3 just can't handle these newer big games on discs anymore. I stopped buying discs because if it. If the game has a digital version I get that over the disc. Now don't blame the updates on your problems entirely. The system going back & forth for data on the disc & HDD is making it go WTF SCREW THIS! *freezes* It's just going to get worst & worst until the PS4 drops & gets a going. I'm on the fence on getting GTA V because I know the PS3 will melt playing that game. Hell, Skyrim got slightly more laggy after I installed all the DLC. The discs are the problem so avoid them if possible.

I actually had that map, and still had issues in finding some cars. :dunce: But I just had to have found them all, just couldn't wait. Had only one speed camera left, so I looked that one up as well. Haven't done it for security gates and billboards yet, but I'm tempted. :crazy: Why, oh why, do I feel like I need to get those achievements now, rather than getting these when it happens naturally? The other day I spent a lot of time and effort on the bridge the Ariel is on, just to get that Escape Velocity achievement, and I did it like by half a meter after quite a while of trying. Figured I wasn't initially that far away, so it was a good spot. Little did I know. Jumped 220 meters on the same day on the airfield, and I did a jump over 400 meters earlier today through one of the billboards on the 192. Why again did I jump my heart out on that bridge to get that achievement again? :banghead:

I'm only missing two single player achievements now. The billboards, and the security gates. At least with the billboards you can look at your own map, to see what you've got, but there doesn't seem to be anything for security gates? How do I see what security gates I've already got? Am I missing something, or isn't there an option for it like there is for jackspots, speed cameras and billboards?

There is no option.

You have to find a map at lease and go through one by one.
It really sucks after going through everything and still having like 1 or 2 left. :grumpy:

It would. I've just completed the billboards, now I've only got the security gates left out of the single player achievements. If I remember right, I'm missing around 15-20. I'm really not looking forward to going through these all, only to end up with one missing, just to have to start that whole process all over again. :grumpy:
 
Don't worry about it. You'll drive thru it sooner or later like I did my last gate. Getting them all unlocks nothing but a useless lag inducing trophy so shrug it off.

I'll try to resist the urge of getting that useless achievement. :lol:
 
Until games do what Split/Second did & make trophies unlock in game content they're useless waste of disc & server space.
 
Well looks like a quick play on and finish all the DLC, since EA didn't help saying there is nothing wrong with loosing speedpoints :grumpy: or I hit the max of 40mil/50mil level :banghead:

So I am just going to hurry up finish all the cars and whatnot and leave it at that.
 
So far I've bought 3 packs which one of them includes the air port (which I bought first of course). Having a blast and just need one more pack and I'm good. :D
