That's neat. It'd be hella cool if NFS editions got varying buffs in one field so they become unique.

Actually, I don't like how they put Offroad as a level. I was expecting it to be a spectrum where slicks are the best for tarmac and off-road for the dirt, and each tire sucks in its opposite field... If that didn't matter, then does that mean off-road tires can match slicks on tarmac? I sure hope not.

The off-road tires make the top speed an accel lower. I guess we just have to wait and see if the cornering speeds are the same. It also seems that the NFS version of that Focus is focussed (see what I did there?) to be a more off-road capable car to the street car counterpart. I wish they made it a little less quick on the street for balance.

forza horizon is just highways and races on a road and no cops this most wanteds better

Yes, but Horizon has 127 detailed cars with cockpit views, a more varied map, and an excellent soundtrack (I don't know MW's so don't judge me on this one).

Trust me, MW looks equally amazing, with it's excellent lighting engine and better sounds.

I just don't know which one to pick!

That NFS Edition also has more accel and top speed. I believe the NFS Edition is your reward for completing all challenges for a car.(Online) Kinda don't like the idea as it will make the standards obsolete thus creating more underused/nevertouched cars.

Maybe we can't put any mods on the NFS Editions. That would balance it out then. You can tune the Standards for any situation but the NFS Edition will excel in a category more so then the Standard. Like the Focus for example. The NFS Edition will be better off-road then the Standard with mods but the Standard will be better then the NFS Edition in every other category besides off-road.

Safe to assume the NFS Editions have paintjobs as it's been said you can unlock liveries. I wonder though... Will the NFS Editions be paintable?

I had the same dilema, but after playing the Horizon demo, I'm going for Most Wanted. I don't know, it just feels like Horizon doesn't have anything that makes me want to keep playing. I didn't even finish the demo, and I went right back to FM4.

If Most Wanted is anything like Hot Pursuit, I know for a fact I'll enjoy MW more.

So sick of Dubstep already... As for the Forza Horizon/MW dilemma, even though I don't own a XB360 it caught my interest but, the more videos I saw the more boring it looked to me. However if you like it and you like NFS:MW2012 then eventually get both because they're clearly going to offer different experiences.

Dammit, the post I was writing disappeared... WTH?

I imagine there are still factors that aren't showing up on the stats. Off-Road is probably needed as a visible stat to help assist in quicker decision making especially for the "slower folks", hopefully there's further details somewhere in game in how different mods affect vehicle physics beyond those stats. Obviously we know what off-road does and affecting acceleration/top speed is the clear trade off, slicks raise acceleration and top-speed as we know but they'll while obviously suck for off-road and maybe affect control though it might be one of those things that need deeper explanation in game and we will see how vehicle physics are affected. So slicks will still be good for cornering but not so much for drifting (which Criterion seems to love) and absolutely worthless on wet pavement. I guess we'll have to wait and see how the control stat works because it's not something that's cut and dry. I guess the wet pavement and drifting things could be factored into the off-road stat or something. *Shrug* We will know soon enough.

I think we'll really need to practice our use of Easy Drive while driving and those who get really good at it will have an obvious advantage. I don't envy people on the XB360 side without Kinect since that could be a big advantage. Then again, maybe not depending on how quickly you can change mods with it versus buttons. If it was just single button commands buttons would be the clear winner but having to do the mini-menu thing while paying attention to your driving seems like a disadvantage for most compared to voice commands unless the way you speak makes Kinect not work well.

Thankfully on the PS3 side we won't have to worry about it. :P

I have that same feeling like you as well. I just like NFS Most Wanted's character without human characters but a city of cars, feels really good. I really want to get this game so I can come back to NFScars.net to meet everyone there again. I really miss them a lot. :(

I too also played Forza Horzion, and like it for its adventure with cars in beautiful scenery, but theres something about its storyline and car list that somewhat bothers me a bit. I still love the game and I'm still gonna get it, but I have a bad feeling in my gut that saids "how long will I last playing it before I get bored." :nervous:

Even this game has my favorite areas I want to be in, just like in Hot Pursuit 2010.

Edit: Like @PHOENIXZERO said. Better to get both instead, since that's a plan I have made up. ^_^

Here's a video from the Soccer and Speed US Tour:
One thing to mention: is that another drivable traffic car (other than the Nissan Versa) at 0:13? I'm having trouble figuring it out.

So what are we seeing now other than the same content with just a tad little bit of new info being shown? Just more people playing at this point?

From that last video I found out there are no NFS Editions. When he switched to Ariel he was simply picking a rollout, one that already had his mods set on it. He nicknamed it Race.

In one of the Gamereactor videos, the Agera had a roof!

Maybe the 991 WILL somehow have the optional wheels, with both these features only on the NFS editions or something. (The standard wheels still don't look right, like Run's.)

Considering the 123 jackspots, maybe there could be multiple NFS editions for some cars, with the different ones being specialised in different performance aspects like in Bizarre/Activision's Blur.

([41 + 10] x 2 = 102 only.)

Alternatively but unlikely, convertibles with roofs up/down are treated as separate cars.
Or even better, all traffic cars turn out to be drivable.

Multiplayer looks fun, though what bothers me is watching "LetsPlayNoob05" get taken down twice in a row. Getting taken down right after respawning... Maybe it's me, but I don't remember that happening in BP. Seems like something that could get frustrating with someone constantly trying to take you down. As well as the challenge of sitting on the train tracks, reminds me of BP when you've finished the challenge and wait for everyone else to finish, only to get taken out and respawn elsewhere and have to redo it. :grumpy:

Also, do we have to do these speed lists in public games? :indiff: I prefer to join online servers that focus one thing. Mainly in BP, I only joined public Challenge servers. Though I do remember hearing that private servers can have custom speed lists... So...if anyone just wants to do challenges with me. :D

Maybe I don't belong in this generation of gaming... :ouch: I really miss being able to be in the same room with friends playing on ONE console and just shouting at each other and having good laughs. Hell, I feel like I've barely heard anything about single player...almost like it's an after thought.

I really want this game, but it's this or Forza Horizon....

._.
I am leaning heavily toward MW2012 and thats coming from someone that is a massive Forza fan. I have already discussed this in the Horizon thread so I wont go into detail, but I am a lot more interrested in MW2012 (aka Burnout Paradise 2). Criterion makes really fun action packed co-op games, I liked Burnout Paradise, and I liked their Hot Pursuit 2010 remake.

I guess its safe to say we wont be getting a demo before launch. They could release one next tuesday but thats the day Forza Horizon comes out. I dont know if that makes sense.
I hope it MW rates well because not releasing a demo might bite them on the a**.
MW is a day 1 for me but not sure about horizon, in the demo the cars felt too heavy
or something felt off.

I LOVE how fast you switch to other vehicles. That is pure innovation. Hit the brakes, click the new car, INSTANTLY switch cars. Takes maybe 2-3 seconds. 👍

but I am a lot more interrested in MW2012 (aka Burnout Paradise 2).

To me it's just similar to BP's online. Until I see the cars compressing into a crushed soda can with a wheel or two bouncing away down the road this game will never be anywhere near a Burnout comparison. Looks like an awesome game but it still doesn't satisfy my new Burnout game want.

I can't wait to mess around with all the cars, I really can't. Stupid NFS site isn't updating the car roster fast enough. Wonder if they are going to reveal them all before release date.

Wait. Did we just come to the general consensus that NFS Edition cars are going to be found in a jackspot?

I just remembered something, about how those jackspots are simply where you'd find the cars, but that didn't entail them to be the same places every time. If that's the case, then wouldn't (or shouldn't?) that mean that one person can find say a Lambo in an alleyway, and another person playing their own game will find the same lambo in a parking lot? If the NFS Editions were standalones, then wouldn't you guys find it silly if you found an NFS edition car before you found the standard counterpart?

Mainly in BP, I only joined public Challenge servers.

Same. Even made a super long comic strip teaching new people the things they should absolutely know when getting them done; social gaming etiquette.
