For what it's worth, you aren't alone. Sophy was pretty 'meh' to me, and her racecraft was shocking. She was fast across a lap, but she has absolutely no semblance of how to overtake and if you simply held the inside line she'd just trundle around behind you, either not making an attempt to overtake or just hitting you in the back.

Wasn't impressed at all. I personally think a lot of big YouTubers making videos on her were doing it for the engagement rather than because they were genuinely impressed by her abilities.

No 'good' AI would let you get away with this:

Wait, you're telling us, that the AI in an open, time limited beta, wasn't working perfectly?

Har har.
Just saying I didn't see the amazing AI that everyone else seems to have raced with, because she was too scared to overtake when behind and too fast to race when ahead (in equal machinery). Was a whole load of nothing to me.

Then arguably chilli AI and grid starts are better for that?
Absolutely, that's what I'd love to see more of. People knock the AI in GT7, but it can be pretty good when it's allowed to be and the rubber banding is turned off. It's a shame we don't have the full control to do that in the Custom Races, but you never know if that will be added in an update.

What they really should do is a difficulty slider that actually matters. If I set difficulty to the highest setting I expect it to be, well, difficult. Even on the highest setting many events are still too easy, and without higher payouts for the higher settings what's the benefit of having a faster rabbit?

Imagine being able to toggle chili pepper AI on for any event just by setting the difficulty to the highest setting and the game economy adjusts dynamically to reflect your setting choice. It would allow players to have better control over their gameplay experience.

Great way to ensure whatever way that data is accessed is promptly blocked off.
It's no secret they're aware of what he does, there have been direct responses to some of his tweets calling out certain bugs.
The fact that he's as careful as he is with what he says is something they're likely rather grateful for, and little information from an outside source is better than no information from any source.
Hopefully many more can see the wisdom in your words.

I'm grateful to have someone on the "inside". I wouldn't dare to try and discredit Nenkai San. He's done a service for us which requires his irreplaceable time.

It would truly be a shame if we lost this source of info. Folks never realize what they have until it's gone.

I will look forward to this next update, whenever it arrives.

PEOPLE BE REAL:
  • 3 CARS
  • some places to take photo
  • couple new race events
  • some fixes

at the end REMEMBER .... 12 cm is longer/bigger then 11,9 cm
I'd agree with you if it's Kaz himself that claim the update will be big.

But this is Nenkai we're talking about.

Why do you want export versions of JDM cars? I’d say it would be better to add the Toyora Soarer than the Lexus SC430.
Yes it would be. The Soarer is a common sight at Cars And C- Wait, no, not that one. Yuck. I'm thinking of the previous gen-model, or the Lexus SC300 which GT7 DEFINITELY needs. Along with a bunch of other cars like the Chaser, Evo 8, Starion, FTO, Legacy B4 Blitzen, FB RX-7, Altezza and NB MX-5.

I will open my hands for this one..
but I dont expect track ( I said 1000x times no new track location this year )
for cars ( last 3 updates didn't meet my expectations ) - I mean for at least 70% players it was really bad
hope they are really cooking ( not goulash 🤣🤣🤣 with fine beef )

Then you don't need AI to do that.

Actully yes i do, becouse i want to have other cars on the Tracks, think about this not a lot of player base is intrested in sport mode, less than 20% have even entered a sport race,

If nenkai say its the biggest update yet i dont think the update will include any less than 5 cars and 1 new track, vr update what currently the biggest before this and it bring a new track 5 cars, sophy and vr support if this update is bigger than that its safe to expect more than the normal cars,

No matter what cars they adding it will never satisfy everyone

You know…it’d be cool if we got a FFB update. Granted, the FFB is in a better place now, than at launch. But it’s still a mile off the likes of the console versions of ACC or Assetto Corsa. And if any of the new interviews regarding the new Fanatec CSW wheelbase is any indication, the likes of Fanatec have been in communication with polyphony developing their new “whatever-force” technology

Seems like it's time to post one of my all time favourite GT memes again

It's gonna be very funny if the update will actually be massive but PD will just do regular silhouettes and a trailer one day in advance, nothing else to tease or promote the update. Considering it is already less than a week away and there's nothing, either they once again changed their plans or will actually do nothing to promote it in advance.

Tomorrow i will be all over kaz twitter😝,
Very hyped to see what this update will bring

Imagine anger If Kaz won’t put any news about coming update.

And this can happen even If update is coming, since it could be special and they might promote it in different way.

We can dream...

Lots of other classic tracks that may never see the light again buried in PD's hard drives, but thanks to fans' hardwork and modding they live on in AC.

If only PD has the same priorities. Instead we have FIVE different ovals in the game (SSRX, Blue Moon, BB Raceway, Northern Isle, Daytona) and 3 rally tracks that are barely used.

Really only interested in single player stuff, ideally a rework of the campaign. Hopes aren't very high - this is an area that would be the easiest for them to pad content for, yet bafflingly seems the most neglected despite being the low hanging fruit, so after a year of seeing their update tendencies I don't think it's a priority for them
