It's also a object lesson in redundancy, and a phrase I detest as a result.

"May" is an expression of probability. It's a measure of both how likely something is to have happened and, as a result of all probabilities adding up to one, a measure of how likely it is to have not happened.

Thus "may" is a measure of all probabilities and the word natively includes the probability of "not", thus it's entirely superfluous to say the second part...
I'd like to think that whoever began using the phrase inappropriately did it because they realized how pointless it was but I have a feeling they just had poor grammar skills.

I may or may not agree with this.

It's about like should. I know it's a necessary word but man it supposes so much.

Sorry. Back to regularly scheduled content.

Child of an English Major who was licensed to teach English.

Zero lies detected.

My personal pet peeve tends to settle on a couple Eggcorns. The most frequent one I hear is "all intensive purposes" which is not the correct phrase. It's "all intents and purposes."

M-W for reference:
"When mistaken formations of words or phrases are used in a seemingly logical or plausible way, like "for all intensive purposes," it's known as an eggcorn. (The word eggcorn itself comes from people hearing the word acorn as eggcorn enough that linguists adopted it as the term.)"

B-Spec would be good, but without any depth, it is hard to imagine it being used for anything but AFK credit grinding and maybe getting a break for endurance races (which we don't really have anyway).
Knowing PD, I would be the payouts would be less than racing yourself. It would not surprise me but no effort credits is always a plus.

It's also a lesson in how speech can break traditional language rules. The "may not" is there to increase the feeling of uncertainty. Even if redundant when taken literally, speech (and therefore casual writing) is not so literal, which is why idioms are allowed to exist.

Also I feel like I have seen the usual joke of 'Miatas and Skylines' for like a decade now, just because they have no urgency to add the latest crop of an oversaturated super/hypercar market. I feel like the current crop and additions so far have been good, with the main issue being single player content and probably the limitations of Sport mode selections, leaving not as much to do with these cars as one would hope.
Really? All other racing/driving games have the latest cars you speak down about and the fans arent complaining lol. Most objective fans of the GT series, I'm sure, want at updated GT3 cars like Ferrari 488GT3 at least, maybe even some updated to 2019/2020 GT3 cars if not current versions? lol....BTW, you will continue to see that joke lol.

Neither one of us is speaking for everyone but it seems quite a few are ok with mediocre or old content these days. We get good content in the updates like the Valkyrie/Sema cars etc but there are cars given I doubt the majority were clamoring for. Who wouldn't have wanted a newer GT3 car or road car like a Senna, reg P1/720S/765lt, ACR, M5, Singer Porsches etc over an ambulance, cappucino etc?

Edit: Keep the doodoo spaming coming. Its hilarious haha...

I can or can't agree, so might or mightn't.

Probably literally most old school GT fans.
You say yourself, these cars are all in other sims or games. Where else can I race an ambulance or Cappuccino if not in Gran Turismo?

You say you don't speak for everyone, but it sure sounds like you're trying to.

Who's "we"?

I want a Fiat Coupe or Mitsubishi FTO back, not those highly overrated Forza/ACCmobiles.
Get you sarcasm meter checked lol.

So supercars, hypercars, fast street cars are overrated, lmbo. I'm an objective fan of GT and I can call out its glaring lack without defending the areas its severely lacking on. It needs newer content is a few catagories and thats just a fact.

BTW I loved the FTO in the older GT games and would definitely love to see it come back..

You do know that the last 6 updates contained cars that are either Supercars, hypercars and fast street cars right? oh and one of those updates had the up to date Mercedes GT3 car too...

Then reading comprehension is something you need to brush up on. Im speaking for myself and others that share my view. I'm not here mass doodoo spaming peoples post I dont agree with lol.

I guess the dog pile is on and what I said is getting lost in an emotional snowball. My other posts acknowledged what you just said. However, I noted that "some" of us would have preferred to see some of the older and newer sports/super/hyper cars instead of the ambulance.

The same update as the ambulance had a Maserati MC20 to appease the group you class yourself and others in, guess you're just someone who's going to forever moan about things anyway

Adding snide remarks too isn't helping your case btw, just makes people brush your opinions aside if this is the attitude you have

No you actually just straight up said "Who wouldn't have wanted a newer GT3 car or road car like a Senna, reg P1/720S/765lt, ACR, M5, Singer Porsches etc over an ambulance, cappucino etc"
There's no acknowledgment of anything there aside from you having a moan that the game isn't exactly what only you want it to be.

You can try and gaslight gatekeep girlboss your way through all the reactions and replies by saying it's "emotional" or "dogpiling" but the fact of the matter is you wrote a bunch of nonsense and applied it to everyone, and are now acting hurt when the people that don't agree with you are telling you they don't agree with you.

What's the matter with some of you? Y'all doodoo spam me, throw your own snide remarks at me, imply things I didnts say and I'm not allowed to respond in kind but with some humor? lol. Lots more serious things going on in the world to be upset about than someones opinion, "on a car game," that different than yours. Later gentlemen.

I'm sure many do want newer GT3 cars, but then plenty also complained when the up-to-date variants of the AMG GT3 and R35 GT3 were added. Perhaps that's more that they're too similar to what we already have, but then you could argue the same of a 488GT3 vs 458GT3 to a lesser extent. Thing is, we already have a full grid (and then some) or Gr.3 cars designed to race against each other, same with Gr.4 and Gr.1.

There isn't necessarily any issue with the car roster at all in GT7 anyway. It's more how poorly that roster is utilised in single player. GT4's single player was so well-loved because there was a race/series for almost every single car to enter, but so many cars in GT7 simply don't have a single race to be used in, and the races that do exist are so lacking. I would like to think there would be much less complaining if nearly all races were structured like the Clubman 550 race at Tsukuba, and there were dozens more of them to cater to more car types.

On the other hand, I would personally love to see more silly cars like the Cappuccino. One of the big appeals of old GT games was the ability to buy your own car (a Vauxhall Corsa in my case) and build it from an econobox into a track monster.

Either way, whatever car is added, some will be happy, some won't.

People are still mad about the Himedic being added? A vehicle that was added 2 months ago?

You know, personally I'm tired of seeing the same new supercars or hypercars added to every game, and this is where I think PD shine with their car list. It's good to have a game that doesn't have the highest trim level of everything and also cars you wouldn't normally expect to be in a game like this, hence the Himedic. If you're still upset about them adding an ambulance over whatever vaporware hypercar came out yesterday, then you need to just move on

I'm sure this will get poo reacted to hell and someone will say that I'm "part of the problem" or something, but personally I don't see any issue with what PD are doing.

You really should stop self projecting your insecurities onto the rest of us

With the GT-R, the GT-R being a common target of the anti-duplicate car sentiment hits it harder.

The BRZ GT300 also get the same flak for coming on the same update as it's road counterpart - being immediately labeled as a "dupe" (moreso with the road car since it was a badge job).
