In over a year and a half, my only goal was to attempt to fill a gap in communication in the most sensible manner as possible, which so far - the vast majority of the community acknowledges and respects - except for a low number of people which has included you. If anything it's not something I've built over one night.

I've always expected skepticism and am fine with it, but given my expercience and past history here it has consistently made feel like you did not like what I was doing and wished for it to be wrong only because you do not possess said information. It would line up with the idea that raw leaks are willingly being allowed to flow around here, but when it comes to me making an announcement it has always felt like some attempts are made to tone it down.

I don't even mind it, but honestly thought I'd come clean here.

Now the question would be if it's a big update because of the new cars only or are there more?
There most likely will be more to this update, the cars are just the icing on the cake. Let's hope for some good events, improved economy and more added QoL changes. And maybe, just maybe, a new race track.

This is the best selection of cars ever in a gt7 update even better than i expected, its also the biggest drop so far with 7 cars, most excited for demon, lfa and new Porsche but all are great choises except for tesla for me

would be crazy with 2 new tracks, but i think we Will only get one,
hopefully single player Will get a big boost it look good right now at least

just wanted to say that..skipping 1 month makes 6-7 cars 🤣🤣🤣 not really big..but maybe there is something else to come..if not..HMMM🤔🤔🤔

i remember you saying their would be no update in november and to be clear it was shifted 1 week so its not much more than a month

7 cars is a substantial amount for a single update. it's good to see another modern GT3 car (though the GT3 class in GT7 is incredibly bloated and unbalanced as it is) and hopefully that 190E is put into GR4 alongside that 155 we got. The road cars won't be of much use outside of the single player races as they're so rarely used in sport mode but it's cool to see something like the LFA. Hopefully we've got some new tracks coming alongside these cars, and a decent amount of single player stuff as well.

I think both the 190e and gt3 will be road cars.

community: we want more championships, better lobbies, better UI, B spec, more diversity in daily races...
Kaz: more cars!
Kaz: I'll share a teaser for the cars that will be added in the next update, like I do for every update, and then reveal full details of the update later, just like I do every time. Yes, just a teaser for the cars, not details of the whole update, just a teaser for the cars. Repeat, just a teaser for the cars, there will be other things added, this is just a teaser for the cars. A teaser. For the cars. Not the full update. A teaser.

Community: omg I can't believe it's only cars omg laaame

The only car I am interested in is the Lexus LF-A. We should be getting a more even split of race and road cars.

Also, if Forza Motorsport had a movie I would be almost certain that the star cars would come to the game - The Ligier JS-PX should have been brought to GT7 a couple of months ago as a tie-in.

If there is no circuit in this update, and I expect there to be at this stage, then unfortunately GT7 is done for me.

I'm expecting this is the Spec 2.0 update I've been thinking they've been preparing since late summer.
I think this is going to drop as a December update, after the PS5 slim, to aid the sales of the console a bit, hoping they might appeal to people who would consider a PS5 exclusively for GT7 if the game didn't insert random complaint.
In terms of content I'm expecting:
  • An actual career mode with qualifying, grid starts, endurance races, one make, more missions and all the other goodies, as well as better AI (maybe even Sophy although realistically it's either going to be a 10 car grid or severely dumbed down).
  • One new track (if I had to guess I'd go with Twin Ring Motegi or Red Rock Valley) and one new layout (not expecting great things here, maybe Suzuka West or some weak sauce like that).
  • 10 new cars, fan service edition (e. g. LFA, 190E...) with one new modern car (296 or 992 GT3 RS).
  • Custom races that are actually worth your time, along with custom championships with more options as well (qualifying, mandatory tyres, etc.)
  • Dynamic weather and 24h cycle for a few more tracks.
  • Some requested bug fixes and QoL stuff (e. g. split screen fix, AI tyre choices on custom races, Lobby stuff...)

I honestly think this is not too far fetched and I'm really looking forward to the next couple of months to see what Kaz has in store for us.
Well well well, it actually looks like I wasn't full of **** after all :)
Let's hope the rest of my prediction is right as well.

The Ligier JS-PX wasn't anything like a star car for the movie, they just used it as a convenient pretend-stand in for a Nissan Le Mans car as seen from the fact it's actual Ligier identity was not shown in any way and the car was decked in Nissan logos. The same applies to the Hungaroring that people suspected would come in a tie-in update, the moment I saw they pretended it was "UK Speedway" or whatever nonsense generic name they gave for it and later Le Mans I knew they weren't going to add it because it wasn't supposed to be the "Hungaroring" but instead just a filming location that was dressed up to be something else.

Because of that neither the car or track would make any sense to be included as a movie tie-in update because the casual audience wouldn't recognize either because they were passed off as something else in the movie itself and would just be confused why these were added and would have to be explained to how actually these are what we're actually used in it and that would kinda ruin the whole immersion thing even to people who didn't know what the real things looked like.

I mean it would be a bit like a western video game getting a movie made about it and recieving a cross-promotion update that featured a plastic prop gun and a map set in some random gravel pit in Birmingham they pretended was Texas in the movie now wouldn't it?

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell

All the Ligiers in the movie had a Ligier sunstrip and rear wing.

Well what do you know, Nenkai was right once again! Kaz was cooking up a FEARSOME meal this whole time!

For the doomers who are still whining about no track or new races, think about this for a second. 6 of the 7 cars in this pack have been highly requested by the community, effectively making this a fanservice update. There's strong reason to believe we'll be getting a new track as well, on top of a nice helping of events. Something tells me this update may even mark the long-awaited return of seasonals or enduraces...

It's going to be interesting to see how much love these cars are given in Online and TT. Can definitely see the GT3 and LFA getting TT events.

The the rest are a little niche really so I'm hoping more missions where those are the viable cars.

A track would be where my elation would come from as that is something that can be used for multiple things and adds to the online roster

And here I am still being 'greedy' and wanting the ability to sell tuning pats/engines on top of it all.

But seriously I have 80 engines, even if they only let me sell them for the typical 30 percent of the recommended retail value, I still am sitting on roughly 15 mil. I'll be set up maybe not for life, but at least for the next few months. :)

Seeing is believing, dude.

The variety is pretty good here, so I would be incredibly annoyed if PD chooses to do nothing with them (unlikely).

It's a good start for the update, but currently this is the only confirmed addition. I don't want to hold my breath until I'm shown that this update will be more than just cars.

Just give increased custom race payout and everyone will be happy and not ever whine about events again
Or make difficulty based payouts for the races we have, open clubman races up from restricted car types. Then you will find people will be happy.

Replayability comes in to it when you can win an event multiple ways in multiple difficulties.

So I don't think you or I speak for everyone to be fair

Of course we are not speaking for everyone, but that kind of update will make most if not everyone happy

Ah yes, that generic name of "Silverstone" 😂😂
