So about this "UPDATE" on the article..does this mean that PD has withdrawn the content?

I think it was leaked to see now much interest we have in it. Sort of like chumming the water.

Then there is my T500, G25, Fanatec GT3rs, and DFP not working with the "other console" because Microsoft is a vile company. My loathing was cemented when I bought my DFP for GT4 and it wouldn't work on my neighbor's CrapBoX.

Your hatred for MS platform is pretty obvious, and most of your posts now make sense :dopey:

It isn't in a company's best interest to flush money down the toilet for advertising when there is nothing in particular to advertise. Forza just made a game announcement barely two weeks before the race and Forza 4 didn't come out that long ago. All Microsoft advertising at Le Mans means is that Microsoft felt it necessary to spend more money to advertise when they have games in the pipeline and Sony did not. It doesn't mean anything in regards to content of future games; and it certainly doesn't mean anything in regards to competence when Sony probably didn't pay a dime and GT Academy was still mentioned (frequently) in every broadcast that I watched while the race was going.

In the time that they were fixing the track after Davidson's crash alone I know it was mentioned several times.

GT Academy was mentioned quite a lot. The good thing is that gamers are now noticed where before they weren't. I REALLY like the whole premise behind GT Academy but way too many people think GT5 is the sole reason why most of these drivers got their skills from. Marketing genius more like it. Definitely without a doubt some skill was observed in the top winners but it's the Nissan GT academy after, the long weeks, the one on ones with professional instructors, and the competition thinning out until the very end that results in the ultimate winner, not the initial entry point of being fast in a GT competition. You could do Burnout Academy and get similar results but I'm really REALLY glad that gamers are no longer being brushed to the side and laughed at.

I'll say one thing, I was at LeMans24 in 2007 and both MS and Sony had their exclusive racing franchises on display. I think this was before Sony secured the first deal for it as I believe 2007 was the first time both Forza and GT games had any type of push at LeMans. Even the inside 'village' both had booths you could do some quick time trials on. I think it was a custom GT5P build whereas FM2 was shown off with an MS wheel. Don't remember what wheel GT booth had. I was too busy enjoying the time and didn't even bother to try both out lol

"Hatred" is a nasty word that inspires people to do horrible things. I prefer "loathing" and other terms that aren't so harsh. Of M$ would not forbid PlayStation peripherals, I would consider buying an Xbox. I have too much invested to condone the shenanigans M$ decided to impose upon gamers.

This is Not a "I hate Nintendo and MS. Come join me" Thread. Its about the DLC

Couldn't agree more.

While we're at it, lets discuss soup, and thinly veil it as GT related.

Like alphabet soup, only with tracks instead of letters.

The debate should continue in PMs, far removed from this thread, and the topic it's actually about.

Stop hurting GTP.

Agreed back on topic do you think it was removed because there will be more content to be added?

Hope so, but I think someone hit the wrong button and spilled the beans a little early.

I personally think it is very odd that the only car ready is a free one. I would think that they would instead do what they did when they released the first BreezeFrees, giving it for free but also doing a bunch of paid cars.

As with everything, time will tell. I still hold a gram of hope for a Premium AE86, but only 1 gram.

No more, no less.

Adding day/night cycles to wcery track and rain to most would invigorate passion for this game.

Agreed, or even more tracks, as suggested by Amar.

Yes see even adding this would get me hammering the tracks again.

Side stepping the pages of DLC griefing, praising, pessimism and optimism, does anyone know the release date of the DLC?

My game has been collecting dust ever since Summer school and Ghost Recon came out.
