What you now have to ask is, do they really not have any more content (cars) to offer as DLC or are they keeping it all for GT6? I think (and hope) it's the latter, and therefore GT6 isn't too far away.

They need to bring the GT series out of the past and into the future. I am all for content and will probably get this DLC, but it's features PD should be concentrating on.

I will not mention the features I think the game is lacking as I have been there before.... I will just say the feature was on the game case but was obviously false advertisement :ouch:

Well, I'm definitely not getting this DLC, Twin Ring was never a track I paid much attention to in previous Gran Turismos. If the track were Hockenheim (or something new or that matter) or if it included some of this year's Le Mans cars I'd get it, but this DLC seems pretty boring.

I hoped for something more than that! but well....
The Track + a Toyota 86 with changed badges... hmm 5 bucks?!
Still got to think!

So no time/weather then? That's pretty disappointing. Was hoping the Speedway would have time at least, as there's something cool about doing NASCAR races at night, like at SSRX.

Looking forward to doing some races on there nonetheless, though.

Where did you read that? I know it's unlikely, as PD seem to have abandoned day / night with weather until, I guess, they can standardise it across all tracks (GT6), but I was just curious if there was actual confirmation.

Uh, no. Two different audiences man, one towards the Sim crowd (PCARS) and one towards average joe (GT).

Going by the attitudes of some of the production staff, I wouldn't bet on that. They're casting their net as wide as possible, just like everyone else - plus there's the whole "too many cooks" thing inherent in the development model.

This new version of Motegi has clearly had a lot of work since GT4, but I'm still curious as to why it's dearer than the Spa + Kart Space pack.

So now the price is confirmed, time for someone to give us a reason why:

Spa w/ weather change + Kart Space (Both new tracks) = £3.19
Motegi (Old track) - £3.99

Before you say it's got four layouts, that's already been covered. Two of the layouts have a tiny difference from the full track.

I don't see why everyone complains so much. It's really not that much money. Sure, we've paid less before but we've all also been starving for DLC for a long time, and here it is. Maybe it isn't the best thing, it wouldn't be my first choice, but I'm going to buy it simply because it's something new I can do on the game. And yes, the Scion is a rebrand but it isn't like you have to pay for it.

I just don't see why people are complaining so much.

Hmm, Half the price of a packet of cigarettes here. Dont smoke myself so will buy it. LOL

Seriously though both have 4 tracks if you include kart reverse, so it looks like we are paying an extra 0.80 pence for a free car. Now if Sony had stated that, It would probly answer the questions.

More moaning in the thread now that we get the details. I just wonder what's the point? All it does is start arguments. Every other comment is like this. I'll get it because Motegi is a great circuit with 3 road course layouts and an oval.

Spa DLC would be classed as an introductory offer.

So if you're saying we pay by the layout, you're paying £1 for the full track, then £2 for the same full track again, plus two tiny pieces of tarmac that are unique to the East and West track?

Doesn't make sense to me. You're suggesting that we pay for 90% of the same track three times.

Says who? It's still that same price today.

All I can say is... I'M SO GONNA BUYING MOTEGI!!! :D $5.00 seems very reasonable. At least GT5 gets track DLC everytime. I like the car too. The best part its FREE. :)

Spa + Kart space = 2 tracks with various configurations.

Twin ring oval + roadtrack = 2 tracks with various configurations.

Seems pretty fair to me.

No Simon im not saying that at all, it was a tongue in cheek stab at quessing maybe why/how they may have arrived at the price thats all.

I'll be honest, so do I. Reckon The Stig would drive that as a daily-type car.

You're seriously trying to suggest the oval and road course are two different tracks in the same way as Spa and Kart Space are? Plus even if they are, you still haven't explained why the latter costs more and not the same?

I'm sure PD has more cars (and tracks) completed but they're saving them for GT6. Every car released now as DLC is one new car less for GT6.

Tracks too bland and ugly - and not one of my faves - so will not buy. Too much for a quick hd port of a Gt4 track imo. I think Pd should have given it away for free, as a goodwill gesture to the community who have stuck by this game through long delays, and many updates, to try and improve such a mediocre and disapponting entry in the series when released.

I will buy it because it was fun to drive on the track during GTAcademy AND because its always refreshing to have new places to race on.

Being reworked PS2 ports (looks WAY better in GT5) or not, it's awesome to have new content. And hooray for FREE FR-S. :)

And, the rest remain the same. Moaners will moan. And life goes on.

Like I said before, the good thing is to know that DLC is back on track. Can't wait to see what's next.

When was this confirmed?

Why is it that I keep reading that members here are saying PD is selling us the FRS? The damn thing is free just like the GT86 we already have? LOL

I'll be buying the track, so will fellow mates. Can't wait to have a heated race after work!

They are two seperate tracks....I would think that is pretty obvious. The Oval is not part of the road course....the road course is not part of the oval....hence my use of the word "seperate".

As to why they cost a couple of cents more......It's honestly not something that's going to keep me up at night....

a) PD charge more for any DLC released in a month containing an N.

b) PD charge by the Km of completed track.

c) Sony saw how well Spa sold and though "Ka-Ching!!!"

d) it's a strange kind of Earthquake tax

e) PD are looking to skim a little extra off the top to pay for the move to their new offices.

f) Sony price DLC by throwing darts at a board and this time they got the bullseye.

g) somebody spilt coffee on the computer the track was being modelled on and destroyed the hard drive and were paying for the extra time it took to repeat the work

Hey......pick any answer your happy with and if you think it's too much just dont buy the DLC ok?
