Because they acy act like HAVE to buy it in order to keep playing the game, then they come here and gripe about not getting what they want like a spoiled child. He says he didn't like the price of the DLC for what it came with so I said he didn't have to buy it. An obvious piece of consumer advice that most people here can't seem to remember.

Nobody should have to be reminded that they don't have to buy it. I'm sure every consumer know this.

So I am against this car that is coming out, does that make me a spoiled child? I want the track, I think it is a fun track to drive, but this car is a cop out. Are you going to tell me to delete the car after I download the track? I know what my rights are as a consumer but are going to tell me what I should do with it?

Now if they throw in some stuff that we all want or a new car that is totally different than any in the game, bring it on.

And no they don't have to buy it to continue the game, but they might have to buy it to keep enjoying the game. But that is his reason and his alone and not for me to judge.

Worth it for that track. I've been blasting around Montegi in GT Academy for a week or so. Hard to get right but lots of fun learning!

Hope it' available in the UK.

Yes! Yes! Yes! Great news!
In GT4, I made a 142 car powerboard list of lap times around Motegi East. I never found an adequate replacement track in GT5, but this DLC will let me re-start my testing once again in GT5.

Motegi should be great for SuperGT racing and Nascar folk should really be excited about a conventional oval. This DLC is a great addition to online racing. It's just a shame there likely won't be weather on this track (the report says only 4 variations, weather would likely have to be a 5th).

Motegi seems like PS2ish.If i wasn't GT fan, I wouldn't buy it.It's not worth to pay.It doesn't seem like SPA or Route X tracks. Maybe GT5 version has Weather Changes or Day n Night Cycles who knows. Texture quality could be better, too..Motegi and Scion already in our PS3s.They all were in last update. ;I wonder new update features, bug fixes

Agree, in Venice a coffee costs 9 euro, we should be kick of about that lol

We can all come up with unrelated comparisons (like one US-gallon of petrol costing 6,8 Euros/8,60 Dollars over here) but that doesn't explain the 1 Euro price hike over the previous track pack consisting of 2 separate locations.

And that coffee wasn't reheated in a microwave I presume.

This how its going to be guys, drip fed, don't know why some are suprised.

At analog, 5 euro for 1 track vs 60 euro gor a game is a comparison people are making, which is fair enough, that is mine.
Rather than looking at it in the former, I prefer to compare the enjoyment i get with motegi for 5 euro vs what other things i can get for 5 euro or more with far less value in my mind. A 5 or 9 euro coffee can be used once and is forgettable once used/drunk and offers very poor value vs motegi at 5 euro. That's how I justify it in my mind anyway.

They were? You have proof of this?

Are you sure about that? I see alot of complaints from people who will still probably buy it anyway.

First off, complaining about something you're getting for free and saying it should be something else makes you sound like a spoiled child, so yes. And second, the car and track are 2 different bundles. The car being free, and the track not. Don't like the car? Don't get it. I shouldn't have to repeat that so many times.

If it's getting to the point where someone NEEDS DLC to keep enjoying the game, I think it's just time for that person to move on to a different game.

When the DLC pack is released we should forget our monetary misfortune by reliving the days GT3. 100 laps around the oval in PD's very own F1 car? Who's with me?

trust me they are, that game is called Forza, unless GT6 is a MAJOR improvement say goodbye to the GT series, they had their run as basically the only driving 'simulator' on consoles for many years, as you can see now they're understaffed and overpowered by the resources at Turn 10, if they can't compete they'll be left behind, simple as that.

While they may not be able to keep up with Turn 10 they still are the only really good racing game on PS3. I don't think PD really needs to compete against them because I'm certainly not going to buy an XBOX just because they have a 'superior' racing game.

I'm not sure about that. I know I, and surely a bunch of others will keep buying the GT games as long as they keep dishing them out. The GT fanbase is alot larger than you seem to think and not everyone is turned away just because of mediocre DLC.

The proof is Update Size. It can't be 470mb just bug update.

We just recently had an update which was quite big in size, perhaps too big for only a few glitches or one new track and one new car.
Maybe, and I've mentioned this earlier, they're holding something back and only released info on the Scion because it's free and because it now gets the full attention Toyota wants.
Who cares about another free 'duplicate' if there's more interesting stuff to follow, if there's more to follow that is.

What about the GT Academy cars?

Odd. Unless they're doing the usual "leak it 5 days early and throw it back up on the store when it updates" trick.

@those who say people should move on if they must have DLC: Maybe it's just me, but GT5 is getting boring. The usual weekly installment of "catch the leader" seasonals is dull and getting old fast - even with the PDA. They still seem to be living in the 90's with the way they design menus and displays. I hate to say it, but this is why Forza (and even NFS) are becoming dominant: they reply to the community on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.

Forza posts up a "week in review" article every Friday or so - basically communicating to the community (derp) and telling them of upcoming stuff. If GT did such a thing, I could see the game being a bit more fun - and the community not being left in the dark over a mysterious 300mb patch with only minor "improvements".

Also another reason Forza is rising: livery editor, creative event ideas, cars from across the world and not just Japan, new content every month...

Not trying to force Forza onto you guys, but I'm just getting tired of GT. No news from PD besides GTA (whoopie do!), no DLC lately (whatever happened to DLC every two months as planned?), no new features that the community has been begging for since launch...I just feel that PD is slacking off. Sure, GTA is great, but if you can't balance racing and game-making, then one needs to be cutoff.

Hate to rant on GT, but I just hate seeing people say "go play another game!" or "DLC sucks!" GT needs to move on and away from their PS2 days (or go back to GT4) to survive.

...Spec III, perhaps?

I..is this it? Well, erm, sorry, but that's a pretty crap DLC. Why not slap a Subaru badge on the GT-86 too and we can have another one!!!!!!!11111 Nevermind.

Yep, I feel the same way here. They once again, are taking a very lazy way of adding cars with a clone of the Toyota 86 they have already added. I wouldn't be surprised if they add the Subaru BRZ in a future DLC to be honest. I really hate complaining, but honestly, more worthwhile cars would be welcome instead of just a copy of something we already have. I really hope they are planning a huge car pack soon because seeing Forza get all these awesome car packs is leaving me pretty frustrated.

I will say I welcome Motegi as it is such an awesome track.:sly:

The car pack is missing, i believe we are going to see more cars (Acura NSX Concept included). Remember the first DLC's that came with the huge update + NASCAR´s...

I think we are going to see some cars too. Since the Scion is for Free and has nothing to do with the Nissan GT Academy (i mean as a possible "gift"+ the GT Academy cars or ended it)...and if we have the track in our PS3´s by now still we need something to unlock the car if it also is already in the game but locked. A little archive or something. We are going to have a new update. (maybe small but still)

Or i believe this is going to work like the Toyota GT86 Concept...maybe buying the track pack and the "missing" car pack that we don´t know nothing yet. Strange to see a free car as a "DLC" or in the same section.

And why in Italy? I checked the entire countries and only in Italy was "leaked".

July 4th my bet. Video or ads next week.
