Shhhh, don't give PD any more silly ideas... first we had museum cards, then suits and helmets, next there'll be damn car badges to collect?!?! :scared:

I hope I don't have to train some overgrown rat/turtle/lizard just to defeat some else's overgrown rat/turtle/lizard.

It could be worse, it could have been more MX-5's or Skylines!

I'll do you one better: the 24 Hours of Tsukuba :mischievous:

Come on man, for only 10 dollars you could drive the amazing Toyota 86 with Mercedes, Lamborghini, Ferrari and McLaren logos. What are you waiting for! :dopey:

Front a NASCAR point of view, a new oval is incredible. Just this week I started wandering into some of the custom made tracks, of the Kart speedway, which simulate some bull ring, short track racing and it was great. But due to the inconsistency of 1 track to the next, it made it difficult to have a proper setup. Having 1 universal track, where races occur, will help even the playing field.

Well as if we didn't see this one coming. Hated montegi in GT4 but its not too bad in the GT: Academy. As for the car, it does seem interesting as its a new premium manufacturer, even if its a re-badged Toyota. But hey, I'm not complaining. Maybe there will be a bonus for buying multiple DLC??? Its a long shot but it would be nice

Hey everyone. Been reading this site for a while and just now signed up to throw in my two cents.

I remember watching the video for when Scion announced the FR-S in North America. Do you guys remember how in the background was the 2000GT and the MKIV Supra? PD was also there showing that new technology - the real-life replay thing and letting people try out the Scion in-game. My point is... I think PD would have taken pics of the 2000GT and the Supra to make for GT5 while they were there - well at least I hope that is what they did!

I kinda like where this is heading now...

Aston Martin One-86 anybody? :sly:

Whish list thread!

... I'm laughin' alone in my cubicle, thinking about the FR-S and how I was too fool to don't see it coming.... from the people who brought us "endless miatas" and "infinite skylines" :D

Why not, they did it with the iQ/Cygnet.

Just let me RM the FR-S and I'll be happy.

Sadly, the GT2000 and most Supras are standard, so no, PD didn't touch them at the event.

I don't care about the car. Sure it's a rebadge, but they're not charging you for it, and I'm sure they didn't have to decide between the Scion and another all new car. It's most likely something that was planned when the gt86 was added. Which is another car I don't care about, it's similar enough to the ft that it didn't feel like a new car anyway.

The track I'm in two minds about. I want it, it's not expensive, but I do feel like I'm being milked a bit. It's a track that should have been there anyway.

That said, someone tell pd that I've got ten pounds here for a "missing circuits" pack.

Midfield
Apricot hill
Amalfi
Arria
El capitan
Complex string
The list goes on, but i'd settle for that lot.

Who did ask for PD to do away with the classic tracks? I know GT players would have asked for new tracks, but was there like a mass uprising callkng for the removal of the old tracks?

I'm not complaining, but just wondering, can any older GTP member help me?

I very much doubt it is all the DLC. Kaz hinted some time back about a premium Toyota Supra and Toyota AE86. Hopefully the diversity of previous DLC is maintained and there is a racecar or two to come such as the Audi e-tron quattro or Toyota TS 030-HYBRID.

Kaz never mentioned a premium supra, that is what fans have asked for so of course it's not going to be in the game.

I do like Montegi, and with more variants I will play them. This is just one more thing that should have been expected. Kaz said that he wanted to redo some of the standards into premium but we would probably not see any more new cars..... This guy should just quit talking or start speaking a dead language that nobody knows because the outcome is the same.

I'm laughing too buddy. More time spent modeling something NOBODY asked for. Damn PD you are really outdoing yourself. And yet I still find myself talking to them like they actually read this site.

Along with the fact that its Optional.

Ok PD, How many tracks will you give me for $100?

You guys don't get it, do you? GT5 is no longer just a game for us to play arround with, manufacturers are starting to see this franchize now as a marketing tool. The FR-S is coming not because any of us want it, not because Kaz or PD want's it but rather Toyota wants it! They want the car in-game so kids start to play with it and hoping to spark brand recognition and loyalties on young kids minds wich is the whole point and startegy behind the Scion brand anyways. Same with the NSX and many many cars to come.

I understand GT6 is in development and that it could be released within a year or two on the PS3, but where's the interesting GT5 DLC cars?

Then again, PD is so small that perhaps they cannot afford to shuffle out many DLC cars because, after all, they will have even less to show off in GT6. The good news Scion is a new premium manufacturer (though not necessarily exciting)

And then there's the glaring problem that we saw in GT5; there are so few premium cars despite such a long development (PD= 140 staff members, we last learned).

Keeps hopes/expectations low. We all learned this lesson when GT5 released.

I've had a think about all this, and I really do think there will be a GT6 for PS3 for which they are holding back numerous "classic" tracks, various tweaks and a ton of other content (including cars).

It's not rocket science, for each new iteration of the Playstation, PD have to put in years of development for their flagship version of GT (so GT1, GT3, GT5). For the "even numbers" they make these games better plus add a huge amount of content, for relatively much less development time and cost. It's infuriating in some ways, but business is business and it makes a lot of sense for them to be holding back tons of stuff for GT6.

And let's face it, all you MFs will snap it up when it comes out, as will I.

PD and Nissan are close, yet we have no Deltawing or LEAF RC

Surely Nissan would want to promote these cars; the deltawing especially, given the advertising it received during the 24 Heures du Mans

No I do get it. It's all about money. So you are saying it's all about what corporate wants and not what it's fanbase wants? It just shows that no matter how much we ask for, or how high on the list something is from our feedback, it doesn't mean anything.

Mabye the next car maker will be the long awaited GM subsidary Saturn.💡
Please Kaz give us this!

SCION FR-S yet another fluff regional dupe, same thing different badge...FREE at least they dont have the gaull to charge us for flipping the drivers seat.

8$ US for MOTEGI ALONE? RUFKing me? thats 25% of what i payed for the entire game, and the accumulated costs of DLC almost surpass the cost of game...for 10% more content, argh bitter....
