Chevy people will agree with me, this is a joke. Chevy obviously doesn't give a damn about the power-lovers they abandoned in 1996 with the demise of the previous SS.

Anybody know the horsepower? They're afraid to say it in ads.

The Impala SS will feature the 3800 Series II supercharged V-6. This award-winning engine features a torque curve that is consistently high over a broad operating range, providing instant off-the-line acceleration and ample power for highway merging and passing. The 3.8-liter engine generates 240 hp at 5200 rpm, and an impressive 280 lb.-ft. of torque at 3600 rpm giving Impala SS excellent off-the-line performance

I agree that it's going to be a joke.

Just look at it. The styling itself is a joke. and a bad one at that. Is it a Corvette, a Ferrari or a Skyline? I'd say none of the above, and steer it towards the POS pile instead.

It's so ugly. About the only reason you could even get me to drive one is just to mess around with the S/C'd 3800 V6. You couldn't pay me to drive one for more than a day, though.

I can't bring myself to call it an SS, unlike the 1996 model, which was a shining example of the proud line.

Bloody awful. I hate GM even more now than I already did.

This is, hands down, the worst feature on the whole car. It's ridiculously nasty.

HAHAHA I TOLD YOU!!! I TOLD YOU IT WAS A S/C'ED V6 FWD!!! BOOYAAA AND NO ONE BELIEVED ME!! KIZZ MAH ASS!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Um, what are you talking about?:odd: I'm assuming you're talking about a totally different thread?

I swear to god I haven't heard one good thing about GM's styling 'tweaks.' The worst yet is the front end of the new Sunfire coupe, but a close second is the "re-designed" tail-lights on the Impala. It would be decent-looking, but in an effort to save money, Chevrolet simply clipped body-coloured panels where the previous red area around the tail-lights used to be.

Weirdly, Chevrolet considers the tail-light re-design to be a change significant enough to call it a 2004 model.

I don't mind it. It's not my first choice in car but not bad for a FWD Sedan.

Just about every imported sedan kicks its ass in just about every category in the family sedan segment.

Doesn't matter I'm partial to Chevy's, but if I had my choice I'd go with the Grand Prix GTP.

The new one? Hell yes. I wish, though, they had a unique engine.

 Do I expect too much?

The vehicle I pictured is a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, freshly re-designed. The Pontiac GTO, based off the Australian Holden Monaro, looks not only incredibly different, but has just two doors, like the original Pontiac GTOs:

The next time you tell me what I've done wrong, make damn sure you're right.

That isn't the GTO either, that's a bad Motor Trend Photoshop job.

...And the new GTP does have a unique engine, the Series III Supercharged 3.8L.

Please stick to wanting McLarens and Ferraris in the next iteration of Gran Turismo, and stop trying to sound intelligent by replying to threads whose subject you know nothing of. Thank you.

Uh? I fully know it's a B18C5. What were you trying to prove?

Why would you have a B18C5 in there if you could have a B18C? I mean..If you're a fan of Honda you should appreciate the JDM Engine more so than the USDM engine

Probably, but you said B18C. And a B18C is an JDM Integra GS-R engine, not a Type-R engine. The JDM ITR engine is a B18C Spec-R.

Like i said, keep wishing for cars in GT4 like all the other n00bs, and stop trying to sound intelligent. We're moving away from the original discussion, here, so let's get back on topic.

First off..There is No GS-R in japan..There is what is called a SiR-G..Second..I would think you'd be so hard headed to think that I would be reffering to a less powered version the 1.798 liter engine..

Right. I sat in one of those GTPs once, pretty nice. I'm sure its much better than the current Grand Am.

You're hard headed enough to try to correct me on a mistake i didn't do.

Welcome to my ignore list, and lets stop at that.

Lol...what a child...trying to ignore the truth...It was only a matter of time before I met one on this forum....And I knew it was going to be a "supposed" honda fan who really knows nothing of Honda.
