So Doug, yeah, we know you loathe most of GM (as do most car enthusiasts). What else is new? ;)

I love GM, especially Pontiac and GMC. I hate trying to find the cheapest way out. Chevy clearly doesn't care about fans of the original - the real - Impala SS.

I can understand GMC, but Pontiac?! I mean, they do seem to have seen the error in their ways and are making a decent turnaround, but com'n, this is the same company that has given us the absolutely hated Aztek and the now bug-eyed Sunfire... Bah, stick to Beamers and Volvos. ;)

Ah, yes, but the Aztek was adventure! No other division except the excitement division had the guts to put out the plastic-clad Aztek. At least it was distinctive. Remember that Buick (excepting the Rendezvous), GMC, and Oldsmobile each exclusively market vehicles shared by at least one other branch of GM. The only unique vehicles in the entire corporation are the Corvette, GTO, Aztek, Rendezvous, and new Grand Prix - and I'm happy to say Pontiac has three of those.

And shinez, you were talkiing to PunkRock like he was a retarded 13 Year old Ricer. Even though I don't always agree with him, that wasn't called for. You ARE an Idiot.

What about the CTS, the upcoming XLR, and the Aurora?
CTS - you're right.
XLR - it's not due for months. I shouldn't have included the GTO, but I did.
Aurora - Old Grand Prix, one of the four Buicks, or the Impala. Take your pick. Plus, it's been discontinued.

I thought they were still making the Aurora. Anyway, yeah, it was on that platform, but it did look a lot different, and had it's own engines. Well, it shared the 3.5L with the Intregue on the 2nd gen Aurora, but the 4.0L was Aurora only.

If it shared the platform, I don't consider it unique. It did look quite a bit different, especially first-generation. The four-litre optional engine was unique, which I find odd because they probably finished the engine after they decided to cancel Oldsmobile.

There is a 2002 Aurora. I'm not sure about 2003, but I know it's gone for 2004, so either way, we've only got four more months with it. Only an idiot would buy it new now.

It's unique in an ugly way. I win.

Ummmm, The Rendezvous is built on the Aztek platform (or as I've heard dealers refer to it: the Azzcrack).

I've actually driven it - unlike you - and I loved it so much I bought it. You've got no idea what you're talking about, and you're way out of your league.

I'm sure PunkRock's told you a bunch of stuff - do what he says. He's never wrong about people like you.

All right, EVO Phreak, you were told by a moderator to cut it out.

Now, you have a different moderator telling you to knock it the hell off.

Got it, yet?

Ok, since we're here to rank on Chevy, let's get back to it, shall we?
In the last ten years I have gone from thinking that Chevy made the best looking everything, all the while continuing to be a Ford guy.
Chevy S10's and C10's were the best looking trucks on the road. The F-bodies were attractive, Even the big sedans were good looking even though they had to put the spoiler on the po-po version of the Impala/Caprice because that was the only way they could think of the raise the profile of the tail high enough for the driver to be able to see it. (Cops stopped backing over stuff when the spoiler was added).
Then they went from Great looking trucks to the current "anteater" downturned front end. They didn't take one out and drive it thru the ugly forest blindfolded, but it was whacked more than once with a large ugly stick.
As for GM's other divisions, I like the Aurora. It actually looks good, so they discontinue it. Can they save those leftover 4.0 liter motors, and one of those extra superchargers, and drop one in a gun-metal grey, two-door Alero for me?
Finally, this model year the Trail-Blazer is starting to look good to me. It looks like an SUV that a man might drive. Big, but not too big, powerful, but not ridiculously so, (so you can let your wife drive it), And with all the creature comforts inside to keep the "tricycle motors" busy.
