Umm... GT6 is going to be on the PS3, but all cars will have cockpits.

One or the other, can't have both.

KY Said himself that the Premium model cars are already at the limit of the PS3's capabilities. We probably wont see wide-spread cockpit views until the PS4, regardless of what variation of GT we're on by then.

I know I'm getting greedy but I would love it there was an option to syncronize the weather of tracks, as well as time of day. Then we'd be able to race on the tracks as they are at that exact moment.

:ouch: Already a feature.

This is looking epic! The endurance races are taking on a totally new perspective now. It will be great to use pit stops more strategically than before. Shame about the lack of a livery editor though, hopefully DLC.

Cars
Of the roughly 1000 cars in GT5, about 800 are standard models. Mostly brought over from GTPSP, they're shiny, HD and still more detailed than any vehicle in Prologue.
Wow, that is some misinformation for ya right there!

The PS4 definately isn't coming in 2012, although a new Xbox is rumoured to be coming at that time.

Sony has made it a point to be the first to market with a next generation console. That is their stated goal, now whether or not they achieve it is a completely different story, but I would expect the PS4 to release before or very soon after a new XBox.

Id rather wait a year or 2 after MS releases theirs, just as with PS3\360 the PS will be ahead of the game despite coming out later.

What is MS going to release anyway a 360 with rechargeable controllers integrated Wifi anda blu-ray??? Ps3 already got that!

We all know how impatient gamers are. Giving MS 2 years to build up a customer base is not a smart idea. Think of all the developers and publishers that would jump from to the new 720 or whatever and abandon the PS3 just to be on the new platform.

Well. Looks like the Sony losers lied to us again. Last day of October and STILL NO RELEASE DATE! ARGH!

Could you be any more whiny?
Go outside and forget about the game for a day or two.

Time Time Time.... Come we wont to see what's up..

You're acting like you don't feel cheated by the lack of a release date, which is almost impossible. As is forgetting about GT5, because it's gonna be UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUBER!

If it ever comes out, that is. Behold the next Duke Nukem Forever:banghead:

Come on Sony liars, give us a release date like you said you would!

After playing GT5 at Paris Games Week last day, I can wait patiently PD to release it.
In professional physics, the game is simply fantastic! How can people play in Standard?

Nice news. Makes the extended wait bearable. Now as for release date, I would be ok for the next month or so now, even in
the new year.

because not everybody plays with Wheels..... some casual players only have a controller.... :sly:

So, I haven't seen this anywhere else, I believe these are pictures of the Nissan GTR diecast models that are to be sold with the collector's edition. So we know that's good to go, all we need now is the actual game. It's from a Malaysian forum, which has lots of online retailers listed in the forums. This is just one of the retailers

Here's the link:http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1351465&view=findpost&p=32354223

It's hidden as spoilers and you have to reveal it by clicking "» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «" which is just under the 3rd paragraph of text that is in purple. There are multiple photos that are hidden as spoilers in the hidden spoiler itself, so keep clicking to show spoilers till you reach the last picture.

Yesterday was my first time with a wheel for a racing game, that wasn't so bad but this time limit Grrr...
I'm really wondering if I'll buy one or not with a wheel stand pro.

I play with the DS3, I can't stand the easy physics and keep it on professional. Thank's to the WRS I am getting much faster and now also race with stability and traction control systems off. Next ABS.

WRS?

i have to say in the TT Demo i tried also in Proffesional physics... but for the day to day play in GT (to win and get money :) ) i will stick with Standard....for the special kick i will also use prof physics

Hear that, guys: GTPlanet is a major influence on features in the game. So, keep those ideas coming for GT6. I mean, we got damage, weather, changing day and night...

Sounds like the only way you'll be able to tell the two levels apart is that the Standard models will have blacked out windows.

I really feel proud at this very moment.

I wanted rain and snow in Gran Turismo 5 so very, very much that I got extremely motivated to do something about it. I really, REALLY got on my soapbox about the weather effects after I heard Kaz say that they were toying with the idea of implementing them [and that was over a year and a half ago and I'm sure that the work on the weather system predates even that :sly:].

I made a huge thread about it - and I even made sure that all of my comments on news articles at GTPlanet were "Weather System related" at some point - just in case the talented team at Polyphony Digital may see them and decide that it is a necessary element to include in GT5 - which apparently, it was. 👍

On a side note, I have tinted windows on my car, so I welcome any vehicle with tinted windows! Bring on the standard vehicles!

I honestly believe that tinted windows are the smallest of the details that differentiate the two types of vehicles. The general quality of the modelling in the Standard Cars will more than likely be very inferior to that of the Premiums and consequently very inferior compared to Prologue cars aswell. I seriously hope this magazine knows what it's saying. To me it sounds like some stuff is made up, not just about the Standard Cars but also about weather, and is just there to add a certain extra... flavour to the article.

I've been down the road of getting hyped and excited about GT5 before and have hit walls of disappointment many times. So I am always sckeptical and cautious about what to believe.

The description of the weather is getting me really excited. I don't know if it can possibly be as good as they describe it. I'm trying my best not to over-hype this, but it's growing increasingly difficult!

I wonder if since car starts in rally are staggered, will that mean we could have one of those 32 player lobbies but everyone gets to race? that would be cool, especially after your race as people watch the times come in.

Should be possible in theory, but no idea if they have implemented it like that:
32 player lobby, staggered starts, maximum 16 players per rally stage driving at the same time with the rest watching before and after their drive.

I guess we'll have to wait and see how it works. Also what do you think decides who out of the 32 get to race? I hope theres more to 32 player lobbies than just allowing 16 spectators. Options like being able to set up heats or a qualifying round with players taking turns to race and results meaning something would be awesome.

Uh?

I thought I heard that the GT5 premium cars will be a lot more detailed than the GT5P premiums, therefore it is very possible that the GT5 standards will be as detailed as or better than the GT5P premiums.

Yet another reason GT5P is a lame demo to me. Hell, it isn't even a demo version!
