Instead of complaining about everyone using a "cheater" car, why don't you just choose a car that will make it more challenging and do it with that? I tuned up a Murcielago SV to about 642PP and had a go with that on the Indy course. Tooke me about 1 hour, but it was fun!

Also, the Cape Ring drift trial sure looks familiar... almost the same, if not identical to one of the first ones when the Seasonal Events section opened.

Hello everyone!

Bought myself a ps3 this week because the gt5 urge got to strong to resist..

I really enjoy the TT event, and ive managed a 1:27.91 on Special Stage Route 5 Rev. But it feels as ive hit a wall with the standard setup here, and i have very limited knowledge in setupbuilding :(..

So iam asking for tips and pointers to improve my setup, iam using the 458 italia..
anyone wanna share a good setup? :)

kind regards

Welcome to GTP! Check out the GT5 tuning forums for anything related to car tuning, there are plenty of knowledgeable people there to help you, or the info you need already exists.

Youre right, its time i tried learning how to make a proper setup :)
There seems to be some interesting things to read in that section for sure.
Thanks

ps. but if anyone has a specific setup for the 458 for this track, please share ;)

Welcome to GTPlanet. :gtpflag:

The stickies in the tuning forum are a great start. More specific tunes are in the tuning garages. Each thread usually has links on their first post to the specific tunes. Good luck.

I kinda like the Italian Non-Racecar TT but WOW is it hard. All the cars drive like bricks and I cant get past the understeer they have. But its nice to see a diverse range of cars in the leaderboards. Much better in a way than just the same car up top (though the same car kinda levels skills out a bit).

I just barely took gold in that event by less than a half a second so I am in a whopping 37k position.

The Indy Road Course was a breeze to gold but much harder to come near the top. Im like 2800 right now with a 1:32.412 (yes I know that sucks) but I only clocked about 3 laps. The rest of the time was tuning and resetting.

And Yinato, you will be missed. I know each event I was trying to stay with your ghost unsuccessfully. I have learned that because of some of the worst events in my life the best things have came from them. There is a reason for everything that happens whether we can see it or not. Hopefully the fortune will come sooner rather than later from your current mis-fortune.

Mes plus sincères condoléances Yinato.

Hello to all my friends,

I just write to you to announce that I finally stopped Gran Turismo 5, I arrived last night a great misfortune, a painful death, Gran Turismo 5 ends here for me, I was really happy to share with you, as little as it is.

I also thank everyone who supported me and complimented, not forgetting those who have shared their knowledge and their good humor.

There are many good people here, I'm glad to have known, I wish you all a happy and continued success in all fields, thank you again to you.

If ever the French passes by here is the announcement of sale of my house playseat ;

Wait

Regards,
Yinato.

great time for just a week on gt5 👍

are you using a stock-ish set up then?

if so--- bravo.

Thank you. and yes, the setup is stock, i've messed around with the gears a little, and added some camber, other than that its stock.

I dont dare to tweak it to much, i have really hard time to adapt setups to my drivingstyle, i have a tendency to adapt my drivingstyle to the given setup instead, so i always try to get my hands fast peoples setups instead :)

You cant share setups in-game right?

you can if you befriend someone and they set their car to on-line.
then you can use their car/set-up.

Thank you, thank you and thank you again for all your messages, I do not think I left some people might saddened, I did not much be appreciated by people I did not know until today.

I do not know what to say but anyway, I found people on this forum that I have never found elsewhere, you are very human and you have a full compliance, this is really touching.

Some have sent me messages to know the reasons for my departure, I wish I could tell you all but I think you need to know to be discreet for that sort of thing, I had a major change in my life and I must now make sacrifices, go ahead.

I promise you that we will meet again one day, certainly on Gran Turismo 6, at that time I'll do as I always did, I will help you the maximum possible.

I thank your again because your posts have allowed me to feel less alone in misfortune, even if we do not really know, it is always heartwarming to see that some people support us, the woes affect all world, we can be understanding.

Take care all of you, you are examples. 👍

I switched to the AWD Murciélago and bumped myself in to the top 20 (Special Stage TT). With the DS3, it's much better than the 458 I was first using. It's a fast car, but on sports hard, the 458 is too nervous.

126.281!

Good job to PrivateJoker. I see you, man! Top 10!

On the drift trials when I load the race I cannot select the green flag or move the cursor like my controller is dead. It works fine up until this point. I'm pressing the ps button and quiting and restarting the game and the controller works fine during that time. Is anyone else having a problem like this?

Yinato great man 👍....you are the example of what should be the spirit of a player on a video game .... I'm sorry for your misfortune and I hope to see you soon ...

I've seen that after a few days on the SSR5 TT, most of the top guys are using a Lambo Murcielago Superveloce. Has anyone got any setup tips for this car, also which upgrades are they using? weight reduction etc.. and are they using engine tuning and then limiting the power down? Thanks

Why are people making so much fuss about something as simple as stopping playing a game?
No offence intended but generally noone cares.

yinato is my friend ... it is simple solidarity with those who have the misfortune against ... it is part of the respect of a human being ... that's all

There is a slight difference between a soccer dad stopping playing a game and a genius dropping something that he's top 0.1% in.

So according to you 7000 people are worthy of praise on this game? I don't think so, but you have right to your opinion.

If you don't have anything good to say, then say nothing. As I have learned, negative comments will get you nowhere and will only start uneeded drama.

Indeed!

If you have nothing useful to say, then don't say it at all.

More like the top 0.001%

I noticed this too so I bought one and tuned it with a fixed sports suspension, everything in the LSD department but no LSD. No gearbox and everything else that doesn't add PP and did it that way. No need for any kind of set-up as the car is more than capable of doing the TT no problems (and thats with no aids, only ABS at 1). It all depends on your driving ability:sly:

Found the Rome DT troublesome. Eventually did it in a 512 with slight power upgrades. Just could not get a decent score on that left hander.

Really liked the Cap Ring DT though - has a nice flow, and that final corner is great. Got 10k plus with my XKR.

Wondered what car to use on the Italian Non race car 650pp at the Reversed SSR5.

Sports hards and alot of power... this was going to be painful on this track as the corenrs tend to tighten up in this direction - alot of hurry up and wait driving.

Took my Black "Full fat" Lambo Countach 25th Anni - The suspension and "Dark magic" bits were left as stock so basically a normal Lambo juiced up with a tea tray on the back.

Took to the track and it was everything I expected - world of understeer.

I thne resorted to using TCS and ABS (Both at 1) just to let me get into the track... after all the best time was some 20 seconds better than gold.

Even then I was going far too fast into corners - bash - red lap... Then I just drove - properly - steady pace and then you crank the pace up. Clean I was happy as I was 7 tenths off gold but my lines were awful. I then tured off the TCS and ABS -

Much better, the car was warmed up and able to rotate on its own without me having to crawl around the hairpins.

---

quite like to have a proper race here now
