I did 3 laps on ss5 and 2 on Indy. Took my golds and left. Did the same on DT.

Dont usually complain but this time I am disapointed. Why sports hard on a fantastic course like Indy? And why drive the course the wrong way on ss5?

What a nice time it would have been to do it with race hard on Indy.

Sorry for my booring words but I had to say it. Feeling much better now:)

Looking forward to the next one.

Because sports hards on a racecar like the 2J is a challenge! The 2J drives like it's on rails on anything softer than sport softs, no fun at all.

The Ferrari 458 Italia (max-tuned) is my new favourite car ever. It's so much fun to drive!

So far, I have used it to gold both DT's and (of course) the first TT. Has anyone managed to gold the second TT in a 458? I haven't tried, and I suspect it's not going to be possible (for me), but I'll probably try it tomorrow anyway.

Anyone else here doing DT's?
My current pts Cape Ring North Drift Trial 17 138
Rome City Drift Trial 9 014

Yes I golded the ssr5 TT in a 458, it was easy. Then I changed to a Lambo Murcielago to improve my time, the 4wd gives a lot more traction but the 458 is much more fun:tup:

@privatejoker.
I took the liberty of borrowing the cars that you set to online for the tt's.
Brilliant tunes for both-Thanks very much. 👍
I did use your 2J for my fastest time though as it had 8bhp more than mine-
unless it had a bit ballast and I didnt notice, :lol:

Welcome numbnuts,
they were just quick tunes to get the car somewhat controllable and turning nicely, I limited myself to about 30 laps on indy and about 20 on SSR5.

So the tunes aren't going to be fantastic. will be interesting to see the differance between spending 14 hours on a time trial(TT31):dunce: and spending 40 minutes.

Also I didnt do anything special to the 2J the engine was just in a nice state from the UCD, w 3000km on it

Only 40 minutes? I've spent about 3 hours in total so far and I'm still 2-3 tenths behind you in BOTH TTs.

Found the Rome DT troublesome. Eventually did it in a 512 with slight power upgrades. Just could not get a decent score on that left hander.

Really liked the Cap Ring DT though - has a nice flow, and that final corner is great. Got 10k plus with my XKR.

Same here on both accounts. I used the Enzo on the Rome and after multiple attempts ended up with a little over 8k. On the left hander, I was going too slow most of the time ( around 55 mph). When I upped it to 65, I was able to get almost 3k. It was difficult to keep the car angled on the edge without hitting the wall and getting a 0, so I was thrilled to make it through that sector with that score. Just wish I could get a 3k with my top scores for the other sectors as well.

I got a little over 10k on the Cape Ring as well, but left a lot of points out there.

My favorite DT was the Spa, which I got over 20k on. I wish all the DT's had that kind of layout.

40 minutes on each TT,
I know indy really really well, so that was easy as I already knew the racing line. Then the Superveloce I'm 1.7 seconds behind the leader so thats not great, I got lucky and made a somewhat decent tune for it.

Did you try my cars? Some people told me they improved with them

I know the Italian-only one is easy in a 458. I was asking about the other TT.

Hey dude,
I will post my tune next time i log on to gt5(reached friend limit),
It should be nice and stable, it can take a similiar line to amo so it may be fast too

Tried this today. It's definitely possible, but I could only get within .775.

Still loving the 458.

Heres my tune for the 2J on Indy RC

Ballast = 0kg
Power = 631bhp
PP = 600

Suspension
RH = -10/0
SR = 14.2/ 14.2
DE = 6/6
DC = 4/4
ARB= 5/5
Camber= 0/0
Toe = -0.70/ 0.10

LSD = 5/15/5
If you want this car to stick to the ground like glue try LSD 40,30,10. But you need some oversteer to get around the tight bends quickly.

Transmission

1.118
0.880
0.700
Final=4.100
Max Speed 340,350 up top

BB 8/5

This should be massively forgiving and alot more fun,
I only got in about 20 laps, best I could manage was 1:26.4xx
But Ive got to the S bends .4 behind GTPL_Amo, so i think i could manage a 1:25.9 with a few more laps.

Tune for SuperVeloce on SSR5(r)
I'm not sure how this compare to other people's setups but since theres none shared so far

Ballast = 0kg
Power = 614bhp
PP = 650

Suspension
RH = 40/-20
SR = 11.8/ 12.0
DE = 7/7
DC = 5/5
ARB= 4/4
Camber= 0/0
Toe = -0.20/ -0.26

Standard LSD is quite good.
But I also tried
LSD 5,5,5 (front)
LSD 5,5,5 (back)

Transmission

4.589
3.092
2.258
1.729
1.389
1.170
Final=2.950

Max Speed 310,316 up top

BB 5/3

thanx.. but i dont have the 2j :( ..... but i will try the setup for the murcielago! :)

Rome drift is pissing me right off, just can't do it
You using manual gears?
If you use automatic then it can be impossible..
Here is my tune for Enzo:
Got 9 014 pts under 40 trys :)

Enjoy :)
Just use gears 4,5 and 6 👍

I found it unusually troublesome. In the end I got gold with the 512bb with a fairly modest HP boost. You need a bit of power for left hander - but shouldn't need the outrageous punch of a tuned Enzo just to get gold.

Good luck!

@PR1VATEJ0KER,

Do you, by chance, have any idea how you are getting so much more BHP in the 2J than I am? Also in your tune it shows 600PP, I'm at 650 and still don't have as much BHP without going over the 650PP limit

Golding the Indy TT with a 458? That sounds challenging, I'll give it a try later:)

It was definitely challenging (for me), but I just got it in 1:39.292.

Challenging, but immensely fun! I recommend trying.

note: I didn't fine-tune my 458 at all. I bought all the parts and enhancements, but didn't adjust anything.
