I used to defend Peyton Manning to death... but now, I can't defend him anymore... he plays small on playoffs... period... 👎

If that's what you took away from that game, you're not paying attention.

And the Seahawks... god... :yuck: worst prevent defense I've ever seen in my life... Why play prevent in 1st place????? :dunce:

Really, in my opinion, there is no point in a prevent defense, because as we see, it just looks awful. Personally if I'm a coach I just tell them to loosen up and play man coverage, though I'd put the safeties in zones farther back than usual. I mean with the typical prevent, sending everyone back still allows for a short pass that can turn into a big play, but playing man still has the short and long play covered.

If that's what you took away from that game, you're not paying attention.

Exactly, he's not the only guy on the field. Plus despite his "Failures" he still has a superbowl victory, which a lot of qbs can't claim. He still has to be considered one of, if not the best quarterbacks in NFL history.

What exactly do you think caused the Broncos to lose to the Ravens?

Final Int... tried to force a pass where there wasn't a gap...

Didn't say he wasn't one the best... just saying his post-season-self has always been not that elite...

Wow.... after 5+ quarters of football that's all you can remember. Even if we were to forget all of the bazillion things that lead up to that play, are you aware that both Manning and Stokley are publicly taking the blame for that pass? It was an improvised route, and Stokley claims that he should have known better than to run across midfield opposite Manning's running direction and throwing arm.

Not saying it was Stokley's fault, and ultimately it was Manning's decision to throw it there. Just pointing out that Stokley claims it was his fault.

So even on that one single play it's a mixed bag - but sooooo much happened before then.

The primary reason the Broncos lost that game was clearly, clearly problems in their secondary. Not, a lack of points.

Meanwhile, here in Houston, a lot of the fans are either against Matt Schaub's play or Gary Kubiak's play calling as far as what Houston can improve on for the future. I was most pleased at how we were able to play up to a tough schedule. The biggest fails were vs. the Packers and at the Patriots (regular season). I think the Texans can only get better as long as they continually show improvement. Arian Foster is a great player as long as he gets going and as long as he can tote the rock and reel off some good runs. I think he's just getting started. He may be to the Texans' running game as Andre Johnson is to the passing game. I was VERY pleased seeing Danieal(?) Manning reel off that sweet opening kickoff to start the game. Just too bad the offense couldn't do much else to keep the game close at New England yesterday. The Texans tweeted their support from the fans all season long recently. I'm proud of my team. Season #11 ended the way Season #10 did- losing in a AFC Divisional Playoff game. It was a tough season, and the Texans were tough enough to handle it despite their losses.

Congratulations to the two teams who will head to the Super Bowl after this weekend's games.

I think really the Texans' problem with New England is the same as everyone else's problem with New England, defense. The New England offense is killing everyone right now, and the only effective way that I've seen to stop it is getting to Brady without blitzing. That's a tough thing to do against the Pats o-line, but it has been done.

It was Moore's fault the Broncos lost.

I think he knows this, and I think he's having a rough time of it.

I doubt he'll get as much crap as the 49ers punt returner from last year.

I heard he is still having bouts of PTSD after his cock up last season.

And when will the Bears hire somebody? I know we still got time, but I'd like the new coach be hired soon so the new "culture" can settle into Halas Hall and get to work asap. I just hope Emery doesn't interview too many people and get caught up with all the different candidates.

Huh. I saw a thing on ESPN about how he had traveled to Africa or something to put things in perspective or something like that, but I'm not sure.

Guys, mark it down.

I am GUARANTEEING the Steelers will win the AFCN next year. Even if the Rats win the SB I will still go with this. Gut feeling.

And Chip Kelly out of Oregon has just been confirmed as the Eagles new coach.

Oregon has some new 1 season college bowl ban, no idea why but that's the main reason he's leaving.

I knew they were rumored to have done something along the lines of Ohio State but I thought it was just a rumor? I haven't actually heard much on the issue in a while.

I wonder if Vick will be still be an Eagle, running the read-option like Washington. Something tells me this read-option isn't going to be a 'one and done' like the Wildcat was a couple years ago.

Didn't think about Vick.. If Kelly can get Barner or DAT (or both) together in Philly at some point that will be a defense's nightmare' especially with Desean Jackson and Maclin out wide.

Bears have hired Marc Trestman as head coach and Aaron Kromer as OC and O-line coach.

The Montreal Alouettes are the CFL's equivalent to the Patriots if that means anything.

Lot's of quick plays, throws, and a so-so defense?

Hey if it works, I'm down for it. Emery should try to keep Marinelli though.

I'm bummed. I was hoping Seattle's Offensive Coordinator would get picked up as a HC somewhere, but it looks like both our coordinators are staying. I really think (and I'm not alone here) that our offense struggled because of his bad play-calling. It just seemed like he'd be too conservative when it wasn't necessary, and not un-cork the offense when we can clearly see it's possible.

50-17
42-13

I dunno, I think the seattle coordinators are doing a fine job.

Just a little funny video:

Pretty much. Analogy fits with QB's as well, Anthony Calvillo has been arguably the best QB in the CFL for years.
