Chad Pennington hasn't been a Jet in ten years dude.

Also, **** Geno's confidence. He SUCKS. Geno hasn't proved anything. It's not his job.

Pennington wasn't a great QB. I'm actually not sure the Jets have had a "great QB" since before I was born.

Pennington was a great QB. He alone took a garbage-ass Miami team coached by Tony Sparano to the playoffs. He's probably 2nd behind Peyton Manning in terms of game IQ. If he didn't have a noodle arm, he would've been one of the all-time greats.

As far as Sanchez goes... I honestly think he'll be successful somewhere else. Maybe Minnesota or Houston. I think he's like an Alex Smith, except now he both sucks and is injured. He came out way too young and really had a raw deal when it came to offensive coordinators. Anyone that would hire Sparano after what happened in Miami is a moron.

I guess it's because of the noodle arm I don't consider him great. He was consistent though. A shame the Jets booted him out. Then again the Jets track record with QBs is deplorable.

Remember, he took a team from 1-17 to playoffs and only showed up on the 2nd week of the preseason.

FWIW, it did not help that Sanchez had a crap set of playmakers either.

The first year he (Sanchez) was there, they had a good receiving core and it got progressively worse with time. But I always thought that they shouldn't have taken him. he doesn't have the strongest arm and to play in the Metlife you need above average arm strength. Even Brett Favre wasn't with the Jets long I now he was a better QB than Vick they were in the playoff hunt until he messed up his shoulder. I look at this way Geno Smith goes into a shell because he can't beat Vick then he's not their franchise QB.

I always thought Pennington was a decent player. Noodle arm, yes. Injury prone, yes. But he was smart and lead his teams to wins.

I don't think Goodell or whoever the hell is doing the scheduling realizes it's the NATIONAL Football League. Maybe keep it on the same continent at least? Yeah, the games may be selling out, but what about the fans of the teams that are going overseas? The problem here is that the "home" teams (along with their fans) are getting screwed over, because it isn't technically a home game for them. And the fans, unless they dish out a ton of money and can afford to take time off work to go over there, can't watch their team play live. I can see 1, maybe 2 games being played over there a year, but 4 is really pushing it.

4th game in London. So at what point does it become that we will play half of our games in Europe?

Honestly, I think the 2 games last year was too many as once you start adding dates it makes the games less special. Just look at the NHL and their outdoor games, when it was just one a year it was a huge deal in the hockey world, now that there are 4 it's little more than a "hey that's cool" type thing.

I also have to wonder if the attendance numbers will keep up if they keep making less than stellar matchups.

2014 Games:
Miami "@" Oakland
Detroit "@" Atlanta
Dallas "@" Jacksonville

I can't say any of those games really make me want to run out and get tickets, let alone fly across an ocean to see one of them.

Jacksonville losing a game might boost their attendance figures.

Emery restructured Cutler's deal to 7 years, and cut $4 million from the cap space, and made $5 million of his base salary into a signing bonus which will be prorated over 5 years. Basically Emery made room to sign more players for defense.

Best GM we've had in decades.

He had a successful football franchise. In Buffalo.

That's a miracle.

Can you believe RB Chris Johnson is on the market? Yep. The Titans let go of Chris Johnson. He can make any team look good. I wonder who'll take him (if he hasn't been picked up by a team already). What would be crazy would be if he signed with the Texans or whatever after we let go of Ben Tate. CJ still is a heck of a running back in my view. He can certainly help any team's running game.

So, uh... which one of you NFL teams want a RB named Chris Johnson, who was a pretty big deal for the Titans?

[UPDATE ] I meant CHRIS Johnson... not Calvin. I edited my post and apologize for misinformation.

Looks like the Jets are the team leading.... of course they won't do anything so he will sign anywhere but here.

I'm trying to understand why they are going after him. They're looking for a third down back and they certainly can draft a cheaper option than Chris Johnson in my opinion.

Silently praying for Alex Mack to arrive at Jacksonville. All eyes on Caldwell to pull out a contract with big salary cap implications in future years to make this work.

This is huge for us especially with the arrival of a hungry Gerhart.

Meet the latest New York Jet- RB Chris Johnson. I read NYJ locked him up for 2 years and for $9M USD.

I don't know about that. It may be, but the extra time makes it drag on too long. I will be glad when it is over.

Cool fact: Ryan Shazier from OSU and I went to the same high school. One of my mentors did Ryan's braces and he and my mom know his family. His dad is the team chaplan for the Miami Dolphins.

Can't for the draft tomorrow. This is the deepest draft in memory and will perhaps be one of the most exciting.

I really don't know what the Texans will do in the draft. Nor do I really know who would be the best fit to enhance the Texans. Only two names will surface in my mind- Manziel and Clowney. If anything, I think we're selecting a QB. The only uncertainty would be if we take T. Bridgewater or Mr. Bortles instead.

I just don't know, folks.

Everyone thinks Clowney will go #1...but I wonder if it's the Texans who'll pick him.
The Texans have their star DE already. Adding a prospect like him to make an even better D-line won't change the fact they won't end up with a great QB.
Besides Clowney's only been judged mainly on physical ability. And I think that he needs to be placed in a prime position to make it translate into NFL performance.
He won't be in a prime position at the Texans because he won't be their main DE.
The team I'd pick to trade up is the Falcons. They'll have to pay quite a bit, but with the team they do have now they could even afford to trade away their first-round pick (and more) just for Clowney. With him as a key part of the D he'll thrive there very quickly.
The Falcons did this for Julio Jones and they've done perfectly fine since then...
...If the Falcons and Texans do switch places, then with the Texans ending up at 6, that's about the position I reckon Bortles will drop - and he's the pick they need. With his playing style he will make Andre Johnson a very happy receiver.

Manziel...I wanna say he'll end up Jags bound. But...I'm not sure he'll be happy with it, and might well end up getting out of it and heading elsewhere.
