Watch out for this DirecTV scam:

http://nflsundayticket.tv

You are ineligible to buy the Sunday Ticket without being a DirecTV subscriber unless you live in New York City, Philadelphia or San Francisco. The rest of us can't get it and when you enter your address info, it will say you are ineligible. Classic bait and switch, especially after the Madden deal they had last year where anyone who bought the $99.99 Sunday Ticket could watch all the games from nflsundayticket.tv. 👎

You want to use my address for it?

Where did you read that?

Edit- Never mind I see now.

That is tempting, but I don't know how the billing works and according to the guy I talked to on the phone, you have to sign into your account from an IP Address in one of those cities. I kind of think he is blowing smoke there, but I'm not going to waste $199+ to find out...which is exactly what they want you to think, I think.

That's the worst part of sports to me. Guy gets caught using PED's or smoking pot and it's the end of the world. Guy's gay and it's a "distraction". Guy beats his fiance and meh, 2 games.

On ESPN's "NFL Live," I found out the Pittsburgh Steelers will wear those 1934 striped honeybee uniforms in Week 8 of the regular season. Honestly- STOP WEARING THOSE! Those are ugly-ass (pardon my language) uniforms! People talk about how ugly the rainbow uniforms of the Houston Astros are in terms of throwback uniforms, but at least those are actually good-looking compared to those honeybee uniforms by the 1934 Steelers. Hell, I love those rainbow uniforms! But Pittsburgh... stop the pain.

As far as my Ray Rice commentary goes, let me brief- that was a slap on the wrist. Punishment does not fit the crime at all.

Lot of teams doing Training Camp. Andre Johnson shown up for Texans Training Camp. Time to get the wheels turning for the upcoming season.

Congratulations to all who will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame this weekend. The Hall of Fame ceremonies happen tonight, and then tomorrow begins the first of the Preseason games with the Hall of Fame Game. It will be our first look at some of the rookie players as well as returning players getting dressed up and ready to go for another season.

Giants vs. Bills tonight for the Hall of Fame Game. Let the Preseason begin!

Tonight for all intents and purposes is the start of the 2014 NFL Preseason. My Texans don't go to work until this Saturday at Arizona. Do remember- this is all Preseason. Winning and losing doesn't mean anything towards the regular season or the playoffs. Players can still unfortunately get hurt or injured, but these games don't mean anything. You can go winless in the Preseason... doesn't matter. You can go undefeated in the Preseason... doesn't matter. What's important here is in players making the final roster for when the games that count come around.

With all of this said, good luck to all of your team(s).

I'll most likely watch the Ravens vs 49ers since I can watch the NFL network. I'll see if other games are on TV tonight, and if they are, I'll be channel flipping a lot. Seattle and Denver square off tonight in a sort of SB revenge game. That one should be fun to watch.

I have a fantasy league on NFL.com, Football for Racers (my signature says that, by the way). PM me for password, draft on 13th.

Update: Series cancelled.

So it's no biggie if you hit women, but god forbid you smoke weed. Oh, NFL...

Dion Jordan and Reshad Jones drink the wrong shake and get a quarter season. Koa Misi and Ray Rice knock the **** out of someone at home and get 2 games. Koa got nothing.

The NFL has always tended to have weak suspensions. Anyway, my Lions play tonight. I wonder if the team will be any better with Caldwell as coach. I also wonder if Manziel will play tonight.

Ass-whooping deluxe. We lost 32-0 at Arizona. The Texans were stuck in the mud for just about all of the game. Thank goodness this is just a Preseason game, because I'd be overly upset if it were a regular season game. Texans rarely get blanked. In fact, I don't think they've ever failed to score points in any game- Preseason or regular season. This one was terrible. Texans host the Atlanta Falcons next Saturday. Hopefully, the Texans will find their offense at home.

Clowney and J.J. Watt performed very well. D.J. Swearinger had a good game But overall... this was a sucky performance for the Texans. Preseason or not, you hate seeing your beloved team just do next to nothing to try to suppress the other team's offense and defense.

Lions wound up winning on a comeback AFTER I turned off the game to play GTAV. It never fails- I turn a game off and wind up miss something big happen. Final score- Detroit: 13, Cleveland: 12.

How does Houston not have a QB? They're seriously going with Ryan Fitzpatrick? That's a complete joke.

He did go to Harvard. Not sure what that has to do with anything, but all media outlets like to bring that up every time he is mentioned.

Does anyone care where Brady or Manning or Rodgers went to school? No. Because they're hall of famers.

My guess is that Fitz is playing to try to earn the starting job. But I want to see how Savage does first. If he doesn't do well in preseason, he may sit the year and develop his skills- just like what the Jaguars are doing with Bortles.

I'm quite confident that Bortles will be starting by at least mid-season if not earlier.

The reason why I think Bill O'Brien went with Fitzpatrick is mostly for a veteran player. Maybe he felt the team would benefit more under center from a veteran rather than go with some relatively inexperienced players. You got to have some sort of veteran even if you have a couple of young guns like Case Keenum and Tom Savage. It's too early to say anything along the lines of Fitzpatrick being like David Carr or Matt Schaub (especially last season) or... Heaven forbid- Sage Rosenfels. To me, I want to see Tom Savage maybe take a heavier number of snaps and then maybe mix in some Case Keenum. I am not sure how I would set up a depth chart if we were comparing Ryan Fitzpatrick, Case Keenum, and Tom Savage as far as the Texans QB lineup is concerned.

Bortles is a day one starter. It's not even a discussion.

Here is a question I usually ask. What... if anything, concerns you about your team or some other team this upcoming season?
