Andre Johnson is from Miami. He played his college 'ball at the U. of Miami ("The U"). So I would imagine if he goes to the Dolphins and performs like he did here in Houston, the Dolphins will have themselves quite a weapon and a local boy making plays for Miami. I could actually see Andre Johnson rocking Miami colors.

If the rumors are true, then Philadelphia is looking to get everything done before the draft. If everything falls their way, they will sign both CB Byron Maxwell and S Devin McCourty by Tuesday night. If that happens, they will sell their whole draft to go after Mariota. If that's the case the Jets could get a king's ransom if they somehow end up at 6 with Mariota on the board.

Free agency splashing and risk ruining the entire draft just for one guy? I honestly want to see that just because I want to watch what sounds like a train wreck of an idea actually happen.

I would love it if the Jets were the ones who benefited.

To be honest, who would benefit isn't what I'm interested in (though to be fair, it would be funny if the Jets got the good end with all the negativity around them lately). I just want to see how bad it turns out for the Eagles if that happens.

Right now I would like to see the Jets wisely spend the $50 million in cap space they have. They need some help on the O-Line, a Defensive Tackle, and two pieces on secondary.

How do the Jets need a DT? Bowles ran a 3-4 in Arizona and we've got the Sons of Anarchy already for a D-Line for that system

I'm dead certain thhat Suh won't be back for the Lions. Replacing him will probably be priority number one for us.

In other free agency news, Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb will stay in Wisconsin after agreeing to a 4 year, $40M deal.

Doug Free will be staying in Dallas.

The Eagles are supposedly wanting Sanchez to stay there. If they keep Sanchez, Foles will probably get traded off to someone.

The Saints keep Mark Ingram's services to a tune of $16 million over 4 years, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Doug Free's new contract is 3 years at $15 million with $6 million of that in guaranteed money. ESPN also notes that with Free's new contract, Dallas keeps intact one of the more dominate O-Lines in football.

San Diego and Jacoby Jones have agreed to a two year deal. Jones was cut by the Ravens following a poor outing that included 5 dropped passes and two miffed punts. His primary role in the Chargers is a punt returner, and for good reason. He ranked in the top 10 in both kickoff and punt return yardage (Cinci's Adam Jones was the only other player to achieve that feat last year). He averaged 30.6 kickoff return yards, putting him in second overall, and returned a 108 yard kickoff for a touchdown at Pittsburg.

Also, please remember that Free Agency starts March 10th (two days from now) at 4pm ET.

- Brandon Flowers will be a Charger for another 4 years, according to Adam Schefter. The new contract will not be signed until after Free Agency opens Tuesday. He was a late, but needed addition to the Chargers secondary after signing a one year, $3 million deal last year, and apparently everyone involved liked what they saw in him.

- Frank Gore will be a Philadelphia Eagle for the next three years. The final amount of the contract is yet to be negotiated, however $7.5 million of it will be guaranteed money spread over the first two seasons of the contract.

- Speaking on Philly, former Eagles RB LeSean McCoy and the Bills have agreed to a new contract worth $40 million over 5 years with $26.5 million of that in guaranteed money, according to McCoy's agent.

- The Vikings have signed their biggest in-house free agent DT Tom Johnson to a new 3 year deal. The new deal will set the team back $7 million overall with $1.5 million of that as a signing bonus, and an additional $3 million in guaranteed money.

This is worth a double post people. UFA RB Chris Johnson was involved in a drive by shooting in Orlando last night around 8pm ET. Johnson, a passenger that was identified as Reggie Johnson, and his driver, Dreekius Oricko Johnson, were all shot while sitting at a red light. The RB and Reggie are reported to be okay at the hospital in stable condition, however the driver has died.

Chris signed a two year deal with the Jets last April, split time with Chris Ivory in the backfield of the Jets offense. What resulted is Johnson's worst year, statistically speaking, in his seven seasons in the NFL. The club, as a result, refused to pick up the optional second year in his contract and is set to be a UFA tomorrow at 4pm ET.

Niners have lost Crabtree to FA, Patrick Willis will be retiring, Iupati rumored to be signing with the Jets, Frank Gore to sign with the Eagles, Justin Smith will be retiring....

Do they have anyone else to play?

Speaking of the Niners- I saw this meme on SportsNation:

Obviously, this could be changed to any team as needed.

Word here in Houston is that Ryan Mallett signed on to be the Texans QB moving forward. However, a fellow named Brian Hoyer from the Cleveland Browns reportedly is also pushing to be the Texans' QB. I just want someone solid and effective at the QB position for the Texans. We still have Arian Foster and DeAndre Hopkins as primary threats on offense. On the defensive side, we've kept players like Johnathan Joseph and Kareem Jackson. I still want the best for JaDeveon Clowney not only for the Texans, but if he goes elsewhere. I don't want him to be like the NFL's version of Greg Oden or anything.

I guess HOU will cut Fitzpatrick. I think the Jets may have some interest in him. It looks like things are heating up in the Afc East but we'll have to see if the other teams have somewhat closed the gap between them and NE.

Breaking News: Frank Gore may NOT want to sign with Philly after all. He now has an offer waiting from Indianapolis. Gore is seeking at least $4 million a year from a team not named the 49ers.

To lead off Tuesday: New Orleans trades a 4th and TE Jimmy Graham to Seattle for C Max Unger and a 1st.

Edit: Tree'd, twice.

Don't understand that move from the Saints at all. Great deal for Seattle though.

Seems like a salary cap issue for the Saints, and Wilson will really like that.
Haloti Ngata is reportedly going to the Lions to replace Suh. Not that bad of a replacement in my eyes.

St. Louis to trade QB Sam Bradford to Philadelphia for QB Nick Foles and draft pick considerations.

And rumors that Drew Brees is on the block.

Boy this Free Agency has been boring :dopey:.
Buster Skrine has been signed by the Jets, Owen Daniels has been signed by Denver.
