NFL 2015 Season

So uh, Go Buffalo?

Looking like another 6-10 season. I see no promise whatsoever. Can't win when you're starting QB, both RBs, both WRs, and two starting lineman are having injury problems, and every other play you get called for anything from a Holding, to an Excessive Celebration, to a Pass Interference call that ruins the game in London vs. Jacksonville(no contact whatsoever), but that's just nothing right?

I'm already looking forward to the Draft.

The Lions still appear to be on the quest to get the number 1 draft pick after the Chiefs blew them out 45-10.

St. Louis is rocking those throwback bright blue and gold colors in their game today hosting the San Francisco 49ers. Goodness... I LOVE those blue and gold colors! I do sort of like St. Louis' modern uniforms as my favorite uniforms of any NFL team. I do sort of think the Rams should make those the primary uniforms almost as much as I'd like San Diego to make those Powder Blue uniforms their primary uniforms.

Pittsburgh, meanwhile... federally mandated to wear those super-ugly bumblebee uniforms. Sorry to break up the love fest with mentioning of those uniforms Pittsburgh's wearing this week.

This lighthearted post is over, hope your team(s) is/are doing well.

Texans have problems. Titans have problems. Today's game saw my Texans take down the Titans 20-6. We didn't play we were mad at the world, but the Texans did play hard an executed when they needed to. It was not exactly beautiful, but you win how you can. You also just win PERIOD against any level of opposition you face. So we're now 3-5 on the season with this win.

Up next... we're on our Bye week next week, but we'll be back in two weeks time to take on the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night in Cincinnati. Yep- it will be another GTP inner-forum rivalry: my Texans and Dolph Drago's ballin' Bengals.

Congratulations to all other winners this week.

Also an honorary congratulations to all the teams that can't lose because of their Bye Week.

I got to say... that Giants at Saints game today was more like a college game with the high scoring. New Orleans won the game 52-49. Seven touchdown passes by Drew Brees ties an NFL record. I saw a picture on Twitter, and check out this line on Drew Brees' day at the office today: 511 passing yards, 40 completions, 7 passing touchdowns, and a completion percentage of 80%. Impressive.

Steve Smith Sr. tore his Achilles, done for the year. (And career if he sticks to his pre-season promise)
Number of current Ravens players out for the year with torn Achilles: 2
Hold on a second.....
Steve Smith. Ten letters.
Terrell Suggs. Twelve letters.
12+10=22
89+55=144
144-22=122.
2+2+1=5
5*2=10
1+0=1
I JUST CONFIRMED THE RAVENS WILL GET THEIR FIRST FIRST OVERALL DRAFT PICK.

(On a serious note, that's terrible that Smith ends his career like that.)

1/0 = Infinity. Ravens will lose the pick into the void of lost things.

It was a good day to have him on my fantasy team. :)

Also...WHO DEY!!!!
It was an ugly, ugly win. But it was a win nonetheless. Great job by the defense to keep us in the game. An unfortunate injury for Bell for the Steelers though. The way that knee bent...:ill:

My Jets got stomped. Fitzpatrick went out and Geno came in and doesn't what he doesn't and defense thought it was last year. Not sacks, poor coverage and tackling. I was concerned they might lose because they were going out west and hangover from NE loss. But I didn't expect a blowout

The Rams really need to switch back to the blue and gold uniforms. They look so much better on TV. The bright blue and gold really pops.

Colts at Panthers TONIGHT!

AFC South meets NFC South tonight in NASCAR Country- Charlotte, NC. Trying to defeat the undefeated (6-0) Carolina Panthers this time around are the 3-4 Indianapolis Colts. Both teams lead their respective Divisions. Indy and Charlotte... two cities that know what going full speed is all about. Which team will win this race, and who will tag the outside wall?

The Over/Under for this game is 40 points, and Carolina is favored by 6.

Usually when I think of the Rams, Marshall Faulk and Torry Holt come to mind. Todd Gurley surely was beast yesterday. Who knows? Maybe Gurley could end up being as amazing as the likes of Holt and Faulk should he stay with the Rams and consistently put up good numbers.

Brett, you're not the only one digging the vintage Rams colors. In fact on Twitter, a lot of people think not only the St. Louis Rams should go back to those vintage uniforms, but some feel they should be the primary uniforms for if/when the Rams move to Los Angeles. I actually wouldn't mind that if it happened. I do like the Rams uniforms today, but the classic blue and gold colors are even better than the modern Rams unis. I'm hearing the St. Louis Rams will have some sort of new uniform planned for when Tampa Bay plays at St. Louis for a Thursday Night game next month as part of what the NFL is calling "Color Rush."

Besides St. Louis, I wouldn't mind San Diego going back to those Powder Blue and white uniforms. Those were great-looking uniforms also.

As of this post, the game between Indianapolis at Carolina is coming up in mere moments. Again- CAR favored by 6, and the 40 pts. is the Over/Under.

23-13 with plenty of football to go, there is just something special about this football team though!

San Diego's powder blue uniforms are much better than their normal uniforms also. They should also make the switch back to those. I do not really understand why so many teams are so infatuated with navy blue. Nothing wrong with navy, but so many teams have navy as one of their colors. When you have the powder blues or royal blue/yellow combo, why would you not want to stand out?

The same goes for the Eagles and their kelly green uniforms.

Actually, I kind of like those Midnight Green colors of Philadelphia Eagles. But of course, nostalgia is always cool.

This week of NFL Football begins Thursday night with Buckeye State pride on the line. I don't know what they call it officially, but it's the Ohio State championship- the Cleveland Browns at Dolph Drago's Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday Night, and Johnny Manziel is reported to be the starting QB for this game for the Browns. Speaking of the Philadelphia Eagles, they got themselves a Sunday Night game this week at the Dallas Cowboys. And for the Monday Night match, we got Bears and Bolts- the Chicago Bears at the San Diego Chargers.

My Houston Texans are off this week. So you other teams enjoy tackling each others' brains out while my boys get some rest. :) We'll be back for next Monday Night's game as my Texans are at the Dolph Drago's Cincinnati Bengals for next week's Monday Night match.

Well back in the early-mid 90's and early 2000's many of us referred to it as the Toilet Bowl, as both teams sucked royally during that time.

In any case, I'm a little worried. With the week 11 game against Arizona having been flexed to Sunday night, that's going to be 3 straight prime time games (Browns this Thursday and John's Texans the Monday one week later obviously being the other two). As a Bengal fan, I'm too used to seeing them fail miserably in front of a national audience. We may end up 7-3 come week 12...

The Detroit Lions decided to let some folks go. Martin Mayhew (General Manager) and Tom Lewand (president) got canned as the Lions have gotten off to a 1-7 start. Got to see how the Lions turn themselves around with this rough season.

Tonight, two other Midwestern teams collide- Cleveland at Cincinnati. How fitting- I mention a Michigan team... followed by mentioning both of the NFL's Ohio teams. You usually don't mention Ohio and Michigan unless you're talking about *best friends* Ohio State and Michigan. Anyhow, enjoy Browns at Bengals tonight in the Battle of Ohio. Midwestern football hospitality coming your way! Time to start a new week of NFL Football.

You should see my house. My mom is from Detroit and all my dad's family is from Cleveland, and I'm a Bengals fan.

This game tonight worries me some because Cleveland seems to always play the Bengals tough.
