Let me make mention one last time to uniforms that should be permanent. This was an article from last year from USA Today on past uniforms that should be permanent. Check it out: http://ftw.usatoday.com/2014/10/nfl-throwback-jerseys-best-permanent-st-louis-rams-patriots-bucs

Not to spoil anything, but the top three in that list are those many of us will agree upon.

I kind of randomly came across on this list was I was doing a search on throwback uniforms. Nothing beats a good throwback uniform in any sport.

Who would have thought that Carolina and Cincinnati would be two of the three remaining undefeated teams halfway through the season?

Yeah, it sure seemed like everybody wrote Carolina off before the season started. Crazy what Cam and that defense has been able do.

Aqib Talib is suspended for a game after his eye poke yesterday during the Broncos/Colts game.

Bears at Chargers TONIGHT!

Midwest meets SoCal. NFC North meets AFC West. San Diego's football stadium is a great one. It is actually one of my favorites- Qualcomm Stadium. While this stadium is great, neither Chicago nor San Diego have great records. Chicago is 2-5 (3rd in NFC North), and San Diego is 2-6 (last in AFC West). Who'll get their 3rd win of the season (unless the game is tied)? Bears 'n Bolts.

Now for you betting folks... the San Diego Chargers are favored by 4. The Over/Under for this game is 49.5 points. Choose wisely.

Sitting at 4-4, I'm very happy with my Raiders. For the 1st time in more than a decade we look like a legit team.

This week of NFL action begins on Thursday Night when the Buffalo Bills hook up at the New York Jets. The Sunday Night Football game this week involves the Arizona Cardinals at the Seattle Seahawks. And on Monday Night, it's my Houston Texans at the undefeated Cincinnati Bengals.

Here are the standings as of right now across all Divisions:

! = currently unbeaten

--- AFC ---
AFC EAST: New England! (8-0), NYJ (5-4), BUF (4-4), MIA (3-5)
AFC NORTH: Cincinnati! (8-0), PIT (5-4), BAL (2-6), CLE (2-7)
AFC SOUTH: Indianapolis (4-5), HOU (3-5), JAX and TEN (2-6 each)
AFC WEST: Denver (7-1), OAK (4-4), KC (3-5), SD (2-7)

--- NFC ---
NFC EAST: New York Giants (5-4), PHI (4-4), WAS (3-5), DAL (2-6)
NFC NORTH: Minnesota and Green Bay (6-2 each), CHI (3-5), DET (1-7)
NFC SOUTH: Carolina! (8-0), ATL (6-3), NO (4-5), TB (3-5)
NFC WEST: Arizona (6-2), STL and SEA (4-4 each), SF (3-6)

Until I saw ESPN's Bottom Line, I didn't realize Dallas has lost six straight games. I'm smiling as a Texans fan, but that's sad if you're a Cowboys fan. Here's a little assessment of the Texans.

My issue with the Texans is that this team is more a wild card team more than a sorry team. It isn't as if this team is devoid of talent. The talent is just inconsistent and not much with that killer instinct. While we don't have Andre Johnson, DeAndre Hopkins is fast becoming his own superstar. The Achilles injury to Arian Foster means that Alfred Blue will have to carry the load at Running Back. Most of all, Justin James Watt remains not only a leader but also the only real Texan who brings it every down, every game. I also like Johnathan Joseph and Whitney Mercilus on defense. Even in a weak division, the Texans still can be their own power and still assert themselves.

Moving forward, the Texans still have some big matches against teams like the New York Jets and the Patriots in the second half of our schedule. I don't think we'll finish with a winning record. I am not even sure we will even have a chance of winning the AFC South somehow some way. I just don't know what we REALLY have. That's why I say this team is a wild card at best.

Enjoy this new week of NFL football. Also, assess your team(s) if you choose to want to do so.

I was going to say the Texans have a better shot with Luck's injury forcing him out for anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks. But the way the Colts have played this year, with him or Hasselbeck, it hasn't seemed to matter. They're just so mediocre.

If you will be watching, enjoy Bills at Jets tonight.

Good luck to all of your teams this week.

Bills win this game because the Jets have no offense. Doesn't matter who the QB is, this team causes the QB to self-immolate.

Buffalo spent an awful lot of money and effort in the off-season to be a significantly worse team than last year in games like this.

Season over. Maybe next year the team can get a decent QB.

First thing they need to do, cut Geno Smith.

I didn't get a chance to look at the game and I am glad I didn't. I can't place the blame on one part but on the whole team. There were some bad coaching decisions that failed. like going for it on fourth instead kicking FGs, giving up too much run yardage, turnovers and dropped balls etc.. The season is coming apart and part of the reason is the Jets have no QB. Fitzpatrick has been serviceable but like I told my brother before the Jets started training camp if Fitzpatrick ends up starting that's a bad thing for the Jets because there is a reason he has bounced around the league. He can't win games on his own he needs all the help he can get. The Jets don't have a very large margin for error they need everybody on their A game especially the coaching staff. Chan Gailey needs to do a better job of calling plays calling for 2 yard pass when you need 5 yards isn't going to cut. They need to do a better job of putting players in position to succeed. Just like Blitz24 I feel like the season is over. I think that comes from being a fan of the Jets for awhile you just know that you will be disappointed at some point in the year so you prepare for it. Maybe they can turn it around. But since they are the Jets probably not. A good QB makes all the difference in the NFL. All the difference between a good team and a horrible one

Am I only one whose not understanding these uniforms? :P Did like that paint on the helmets, but that was it.

Only thing that was note worthy last night.

Damn. I can't believe that the Lions managed to beat the Packers in Lambeau. Megatron botching the onside kick ended with Crosby muffing the field goal to win 18-16.

Texans at Bengals TONIGHT!

The AFC is in vogue tonight as AFC South meets AFC North. Eight teams have tried to figure out the 2015 Cincinnati Bengals this season, and all eight have failed. Oh, but look! Here come the 3-5 Houston Texans (2nd in AFC South) thinking they have a chance to bring the Bengals down to earth. As the saying goes, stranger things have happened. This Texans team is a total mess, but they hope they can defeat the currently undefeated (8-0, 1st AFC North) Bengals. Prime Time is not the Texans' thing, nor is usually playing on ESPN/ABC. Will Cincy finally lose tonight, or will the Texans just be victim No. 9 to the 2015 Bengals?

Cincinnati is favored by 10.5 tonight. 49 points is the Over/Under. It's an inner-forum rivalry here... JohnBM01 vs. Dolph Drago. I am expecting my Texans to lose, though I (obviously) want them to win; but anything can happen.

We were supposed to FAIL. Instead, we won 10-6 at the Cincinnati Bengals. This was not a pretty game by any stretch. Style points? Forget about it. High-powered offense? Forget about it. This game was won by hustle and luck. We'll take this win. I'll tell you what- I actually had the Bengals beating my Texans by something like 31-10. But still, the Texans defeated the previously undefeated Cincinnati Bengals. As a wise man once said, "just win, baby!"

As for the Bengals, they have nothing to be ashamed of. You're doing something right if you work your way up to 8-0 and have just about all the confidence in the world. I'm certain the Bengals will bounce back and return to what made them go on that unbeaten streak for the first half of the season. It was pretty brutal for the Cincinnati Reds to have a tough season, but they have a winner with the Bengals.

Meanwhile, and if you'll excuse me...

*happy dance*

...Oh, and congratulations to all other winners from this week. Better luck next time to all those who lost this week.

Week 11 of the season is this week, and it begins with an AFC South match between the Tennessee Titans at the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday Night Football. Many other games are on tap for Sunday. The Sunday Night match this week is the [previously unbeaten] Cincinnati Bengals at the Arizona Cardinals. Monday Night Football this week involves an AFC East match as the Buffalo Bills will be at the New England Patriots.

Go enjoy some NFL Football this week.

The new week begins tonight with the Tennessee Titans at the Jacksonville Jaguars. So the AFC South is pathetic. These two teams will welcome the new week of NFL Football regardless. Enjoy tonight's game if you'll be watching.

Please tell the AFC South that winning is desirable. Are we heading towards a situation where 8-8 can win the division? (Same with the NFC North)
