Apparently, JJ Watt doesn't need a helmet to make a sack. Impressive.

In any case, yay Chiefs!

Bit bummed as both my teams, the Bears and the Seahawks, went down in their first game. Can't be too bummed with the Seahawks though as they did mount a comeback in the final stages of the game.

Onto next week, I guess.

For Gods sake Peyton, just leave my team alone! You're too good... :-)

He wasn't yesterday...the defense won it for the Broncos. Which is fine by me.

Packers were also solid against the Bears. So I have no complaints after yesterday.

I can't believe I stayed up to watch my Giants lose to the Cowgirls on some dumb play calls late in the game. :banghead:

It would have been easier to swallow if we just lost 35-0.

Eagles at Falcons and Vikings at 49ers both TONIGHT!

If you love the NFC, then this first Monday Night Football of the 2015 regular season is for you. The first game will have air traffic chaos as two breeds of fowl will have some foul play. It's the Eagles from PHI going down south to meet the ATL Falcons. Can the Eagles clean up the Dirty Birds? Then out at the site of Super Bowl 50, the MIN Vikings seek to pillage the Santa Clara... uh, San Francisco 49ers. Who'll take victory out on the other side on the nation?

Here is the first betting mention of the season, so here's your section. In PHI at ATL, PHI is favored by 3, and the over/under is 55 points. In MIN at SF, MIN is favored by 2, and the over/under for this game is 41.5 points. Choose wisely.

Enjoy tonight's MNF doubleheader if you will be watching.

Peyton's career has come to an end. He knows when to throw it and where, he just doesn't have the arm left to do it. I saw him miss throws against the ravens he was nailing even last year at this time. I don't know what happened mid-season last year, but he's just not there anymore.

It's been a great ride, but I think it's over.

In case any Aussie fans have missed the wall to wall media coverage. Jarryd Hayne will be making his NFL debut today.

How do you all like the 2015 season so far? Some teams won, some others didn't. How about I offer you some kind words if your team DIDN'T win? I typed this in my Facebook profile:

"Got to love [gridiron] football... 1-0: "We're going all the way!" 0-1: "Our season is over." 0-0-1: "???" So in some peoples' minds, the Texans' 2015 season is already over since they lost 27-20 against Kansas City today. There's still 15 games left to turn things around."

So if your team didn't win, it doesn't mean you're challenging the 1976 Tampa Bay Buccaneers or (sorry Joey D and AnthonyD1993...) the 2008 Detroit Lions. All it means is that you still are eligible for the postseason if you still win a vast majority of your games. So keep playing hard to make the postseason and to become one of the better teams in the league.

* Really, don't tell me about ugly uniforms unless you are comparing them to the throwback bumblebee outfits the Pittsburgh Steelers seem to be federally mandated to wear every season. At least those San Francisco uniforms... and even the Tampa Bay and Cleveland uniforms are ludicrously more tolerable uniforms than the aforementioned bumblebee uniforms.

* Want to know the numbers on extra points in the NFL after Week 1? Here is a piece courtesy of ProFootballTalk: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...e-71-for-75-on-extra-points-through-week-one/

In typical ESPN fashion, one of the video pieces had to show my Texans shanking an extra point and failing. The "Always Hate Houston" Network for the win (FTW). Yay...

These were just a bunch of random musings from me. Hope you're doing well. Get ready for Week 2!

Tonight is the 2015 regular season debut of Thursday Night Football (besides last weekend's PIT at NE match to kick off the regular season). We got the Kansas City Chiefs playing at home against the visiting Denver Broncos tonight. KC was done trashing my Texans back on Sunday here in Houston. Now, the Chiefs will have to deal with the boys from Mile High.

Along with KC and DEN, good luck to all of your teams this weekend.

[UPDATE] DEN at KC. I've edited this post WAY too many times and sincerely apologize for this.

Despite a wild ending, my Texans are now 0-2 on the season, losing 24-17 at the Carolina Panthers. The first half was very weak for both teams on both sides of the ball. My already thin confidence in the Texans this season was even thinner as it just seems like the Texans lack any kind of fire. Granted we don't have Andre Johnson (went to IND Colts) or Arian Foster (recovering from groin surgery injury), the Texans just feel flat.

Up next... we get Jameis Winston and his Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home next Sunday. Bucs at Texans next Sunday.

Well, how did your team(s) fare?

Jets at Colts TONIGHT!

Last Monday Night involved four NFC teams. Tonight, two AFC teams will go full speed in Indianapolis, indiana. It's the 1-0 Jets of the AFC East soaring into the 0-1 Colts of the AFC South. The Colts are tough to beat at home- just ask my Houston Texans. Who'll win this one? We shall see.

The Indianapolis Colts are favored by 7, and the Over/Under is 46.5 points. Good luck to NYJ and IND tonight.

Not a good start to the season for my teams. Bears are 0 - 2 and the Seahawks are also 0 - 2. Hopefully they can both turn it around next week.

My Houston Texans are in the same winless 0-2 boat, so I know the pain, GTPlaneteers. There are some who often say the NFL can stand for "not for long." So maybe things get better for current winless teams. You just hope it's sooner rather than later. And certainly, you hope you don't end up having to get the first overall draft pick for when NFL Draft time rolls around in 2016.

There's still hope even though this season basically just started. So remain positive and hopeful if your team(s) is/are winless so far.

0-2 start for the Seahawks, with a terrible loss in the first game when they couldn't hold their lead to prevent the game from going into OT? This hasn't been a good start.

Man. Misery loves company, huh? I'm surprised nobody's gloated about any teams currently 2-0 on the season.

0-2 for my Saints, so much for home advantage, we got beat by the Bucs of all teams

No offence mate but I'm hoping that the Panthers will make it 0-3 for the Saints next week. Sorry. :P I'm not confident at all though.

I did make a post about the Jets, but it wasn't really bragging because years of being a Jets and Mets fan has given me such low expectations, that between 2-0 and the Mets almost assuredly making the playoffs, I don't know what to do
