The car uses those misfire AES effects I found? It sounds good.

Here's the description:

gtr_lm_nismo_15.In the spring of 2014, The Nissan Motor Company announced that they would be participating in the LPM1 Hybrid class of the Le Mans 24 hour race in the following year, with a car carrying the GT-R badge. They revealed their car in February of 2015 and it had a revolutionary structure that no one had imagined! The car named the GT-R LM NISMO, a prototype racer that came after a 16 year hiatus from prototypes since the R391 in 1999, went against the norm by mounting its engine in the front; not only that, it was front-wheel drive. By mounting the engine in the front they had more freedom with the design of the car as a whole, enabling them to achieve an aerodynamic advantage. And it's no surprise that the unique ideas came from Ben Bowlby, who designed the chassis and body. This is the same man responsible for cars like the DeltaWing and the ZEOD RC. The body consists of a monocoque chassis and outer panels made of carbon, with a minimal weight of <880kg>. Under the long front nose is a 3 litre direct injection V6 with twin turbos, combined with an energy regeneration system. The drivers of the car are Nissan's home-grown Michael Krumm and Tsugio Matsuda, GT Academy graduates Lucas Ordóñez and Jann Mardenborough with their mentor Alex Buncombe, former F1 drivers Marc Gené and Max Chilton, along with Harry Tincknell and Olivier Pla who have a great history in sports car racing.....Nissan will be running two cars starting from the first round of the FIA World Endurance Championships and will be entering three cars in Le Mans 24 Hours, aiming for an overall victory.

On a couple of occasions we see huge wheelspin from the front which suggests the car is in it's current configuration in that it deploys hybrid power to the front.

I cannot wait to get my paws on this car tomorrow. It sounds pretty good too unlike the Peugeot VGT.

I'm looking forward to seeing some of the full renders which will show off the modelling to it's full potential.

Well, I'm now very glad I quickly ran through the GTA events this morning. I must drive it, I must photograph it, I must stop at mating with it

According to Bowbly, the GT-R LM Nismo has a mechanical energy recovery system and not an electrical. I don't know exactly how do that works but it may be normal if we haven't the typical electric engine sound when the hybrid system power the car.

A flywheel on front axle is spun under braking and the inertia it creates is used for the acceleration on corner exit. It's better explained in the above Jay Leno's Garage video (10:59) 👍

By the way I think the regulations limit the energy released per lap, not recovered :
5.2.3 La quantité d’Energie libérée par les MGUs est limitée aux valeurs décrites à l’Annexe B.
5.2.3 The amount of Energy released from the MGUs is limited to values described in Appendix B.

Here is the appendix B on sheet n°15-D0019-LMP1

It seems the rules changed since last year on the energy recovered. But Porsche can also store the energy up to the last corner and release 8MJ between the last corner and the finish line while the other competitors can only release about 1MJ maximum on this straight line.
So they can store energy on there out lap and use it all 8MJ on the run up to the timeing line, then they have another 8MJ for the flying lap. Clever...

Yes, my quote is out of the updated 2015 regs, I downloaded the PDF, including the appendix B, on May, 18th. But it still talks about released energy limit. Storage is unlimited I guess. 👍

Edit: Actually they only slightly increased fuel flow limit and fuel capacity for every petrol P1 classes in appendix B since last year.

Remember, Nissan skipped the early rounds of FIA WEC due to development problems. But I guess the writers were not aware of it.

Also, can I have a GT-R LM Joins the Battle picture? (Like the Mega Man Joins the Battle picture of SSB4) :)

For reference:
latest

Also, I wonder that do we have to gold it (like RJN GT-R GT3) or will bronze be enough (like the LMP2)?

I just think it's pretty dope that we got a P1 car that is actually current and from this year. That doesn't happen much in racing sims anymore. Even project cars is just getting last year's E-Tron which I'm still pretty hyped about. We should all be thankful that PD has a partnership with nissan.

Good sound:tup:

Damn good sound, just slightly higher pitched then the real thing

For that, we thank you

Can't wait for the update that seemingly removes or bar-codes the 24h logo for no apparent reason at all  /s

If you'll notice, they've already blanked out the WEC logo on the car (much like how the blanked out the WEC logo on the Toyota).

So is this a new sound effect on this Nismo, just before tunnel entry?

I can't remember hearing it on other cars before. AES misfire effects were added two updates back.

How can they drive the Nismo GTR P1 when it is going to be released tomorrow with the GTAcademy Round 4? :)
