Great choice! Have a G27 myself, and I love it! After 4 years of hard usage, nothing is wrong with it. A great fun to play racing games with. đź‘ŤI have a G27. I'm having a great time with it. đź‘Ť
Congratulations on times posted everyone!
Good luck with the new TT's!
Also, I should say a belated thanks to backnfourth for coming up with the idea of a No SRF friends group đź‘Ť
I'm having a great time chasing all your blue lines.
If anyone's interested I'm just over three weeks in using the wheel and things are starting to feel more comfortable.
If you are a DS3 user thinking about converting, prepare for a dip in form. It's worth the effort though.
I think I might have close to parity in lap times with my DS3 now, but without the consistency. I need to learn to correct better, no lock to lock with the flick of a thumb!
I'd like to know who these blue lines belong to? I've added 'most' SRF off runners posting on here and you were far and away the quickest (at least using Ds3), if you ever get your head around your new wheely you'll be practically unbeatable
Thanks, you are very kind.
Send me a FR if you like and you can see where I placed, I would like to have you on my friends list. đź‘Ť
Nice job on the london TT!
@SW__10 how do you do it? The time you managed on the Mustang TT is unbelievable! I have tried everything, and I'm still .320 second behind you. Great job! đź‘Ť
Thanks for the kind words! I won`t be suprised if I see the rest of the guys struggling to beat your time, it`s a damn good one. đź‘ŤThanks đź‘Ť
I expect that time to be well beaten when the rest of the guys get started on it.
There might be a bit more in it for me also! It is the first day lol!
I think you'll find that .320.....and more đź‘Ť
Although using the clutch and gearshifter, means I am slower than many others.
But then again, I find it more fun and challenging to use the clutch and gearshifter. I recentley got the hang of heel and toe (Well, sort of...) and it`s really addictive. Keep up the great driving though!
Do you use a rig for your G27? (Playseat, Rseat etc.) wheelstand, or the traditional cofeetabe? just courious.
Great job with the clutch and gearshifter! đź‘Ť
I have a wood stand for the wheel I made myself. It's very rough and ready but sturdy, it does the job until I sort something else out.
Cheers but I'm outa here, just sold my copy of GT6 on ebay.
The Mrs is about to finish her materity leave so I'll be left in charge... just downloaded WRC4, something I can play on a far more casual basis when I've got 2 mins.
@ZuluWraith, could you delete my name from the list, many thanks.
Thanks, @JogoAsobi ! I didn`t know the lap times were good, but I try my best . I truly love using the clutch and gearshifter in GT6, I do get slower times than those using paddles, but I find it more fun to use the clutch and gearshifter despite the slower lap times.@LJ12, great time you set for Willow with clutch!
Nice to see another clutch/manual trans user!
Saw you also did the Mazda/SSR5 seasonal with clutch. đź‘Ť

Nice work in the Mazda RX-7 TT, I could see you getting closer and closer, think you improved from a 1:28.5 to a 1:27.7, so good work. đź‘Ť
Eventually ended up 24th in that one, would've liked to have run a bit more as I left .2/3 in the first sector, unfortunately going back to college cut my running time short.
Some good times out there. After jet lag finishes punching me in the throat, I'll try improving on my base gold ghost laps. đź‘Ť
Glad to see you back intact.

You have some great times aswell đź‘Ť, and I use your lines in fact to get gold when I struggle. Keep it up!
I also see that you have an awesome rig! Also, you have a T500RS with the TH8RS shifter. My G27 and PLAYSEAT Revolution looks dull compared to yours. How is the wheel and shifter combo with GT6? Haven`t tried a T500 or a TH8RS, so I`m a little curious.
Keep up the great work, and I`ll see you on the track đź‘Ť
Had a go at the Range Rover seasonal... Designed by Posh Spice?
Thanks for the detailed info, @JogoAsobi, đź‘Ť gave me some new info I didn't know about. Thanks about my rig, but your Playseat is much better than what I had before I built it.
I used a wheelstand with junkyard car seat for a few years before doing the rig.
T500 + TH8RS; There are a couple of software and hardware tricks available for it.
TH8 RS software utility lets you set the "neutral" zones between gates, big help for GT5/GT6.
There are also 3rd party short shifter plates and shorter shafts on the market for TH8 RS.
So installing them (did both) can shorten the physical travel distance between gears.
However, changing from sequential to H-shifter is not on-the-fly for TH8 RS.
It is pretty time-consuming. The Fanatec CSS offers this feature on-the-fly.
I see very fast TT manual clutch times set with Logitech G25/G27 (like you) and by Fanatec wheels.
Fanatec wheel users can also use Logitech G25/G27 & TH8 RS shifters with basherboard adapters.
Please excuse the OT for those non-clutch/manual trans enthusiasts.
Does anyone else hate the final turn at Willow? That corner has killed many a good lap. Set a good time though, now I'll just watch as it slides down the board.
It is a tricky corner indeed. I have run Big Williow so many times, (I can`t remember how many) the reason is that I simply love Willow Springs, but the last corner, have always been tricky for me. So here are some advices which will hopefully help you "nail" the last corner perfectly.Does anyone else hate the final turn at Willow? That corner has killed many a good lap. If you want to see what can happen IRL if you screw up there, see the 2nd video on my thread.
There is a youtube video of a Mustang - crashing out heavily prior to the final corner... and then it rams into a retaining wall... knocking some big bricks out but bouncing back onto the desert wasteland outfield.
Stay safe drivers. (One Mustang was harmed in the making of that video.)
