The TS030 TT is addictive! Love LeMans, and when I heard that the TS030 was included in the recent update, I was incredibly happy! My favorite modern LMP1 car, and one of my all time favorite tracks, in my favorite game :D.

Anyways, enjoy the TT, and post some great times! đź‘Ť.

Sincerly, LJ12.

I'll try, haven't downloaded the update yet due to dodgy internet. :(

EDIT:

Loving the new physics changes, can feel the weight transfer a lot more and kerbs now upset the car much more.

Don't really like the TS030 in the TT, though I think it's because the rear brake bias is too high- keeps locking the rears when shifting into 2nd. :indiff:

Ran a 3:37.0xx on the 3rd clean lap, was way too cautious in multiple places though. Was too conservative braking into Mulsanne, went too deep into Arnage, turned way too early into the first Porsche Curve, which compromised my line through the next two and was way too cautious in the Ford Chicanes.

Ideally looking for a 3:35, but I don't like the car enough to keep going.

Glad you got the update done đź‘Ť

I've not seen your ghost yet but look forward to seeing it tomorrow. It's Friday... I don't drink and drive

3:37.0xx sounds good to me. I need all the help I can get with lines etc, I don't know the track well.

When it goes dark I'm lost, so I'll follow you and @LJ12 ..... If I can stay with you both up to that point.

My line was poor through the Porsche Curves (the bit when it gets dark), you just want to breathe on the brakes and trail it all the way in and shift to 4th, then flat to the floor when you think you can. The next two are flat if you get a good line, if not a slight lift doesn't hurt too much. The next one requires another dab of brake to keep the nose tucked in and the next one (left hander) after that is just a lift, steer and floor it job. đź‘Ť

The Esses are my all time favourite corner though, just love it when you get them absolutely nailed. :D

Same story on both tracks: Blew too many apexes, and was a bit too ginger with the throttle when I should've just dropped the hammer, because my name.

Sarthe: 3:47.165

Nurb 24h: 9:08.182

Will try to whittle those times down by a few seconds over the weekend.

Hi all. I'd like to add some fellow DS3 no aids/no SRF users to my friends list to compete against in the time trials. Anyone interested please send me a PSN fr to t_wilson01 or quote this post with you PSN ID. Cheers.

As a matter of fact, I have night vision goggles! (Just joking with you.)

And thank you for the feedback, @JogoAsobi! Gladly appreciate it, and don't worry, because you'll propably catch up with me in no time ;).

And the physic change, made me a better driver to be honest! Polophony Digital FINALLY seems to have figured out the camber issue:bowdown:. It takes some time getting used to, but when you've learned about how the car handles, it is a big difference sine 1.08.

Anyways, hope you set some great leader board times, (maybe you'll beat my time, which should be easy after a few runs.) and of course, have a great time when doing so, buddy!. And as with @SW__10, I'll look forward to compete against you as well!

Sincerly, LJ12.

Well, I am starting to get used to the damn physics and changes to T500 behavior. :)
Turning up the FFB to 6 from 4 seems to do the trick...
...downside is that traversing Mulsanne straight reminds me some of my teeth have fillings.

Anyway still a few seconds out from you and @SW__10, but got down to 1:42.733 with TS030. :D

Great to see you are getting used to the physics. đź‘Ť I got used to them pretty quick to be honest, but I do struggle with my older tunes. Have to change ALL of them because of the camber fix, but then again, the handling becomes much better, so it's worth it in the end. :)

Surprised to see you use such a low FFB value. I use 10 on my G27, and I can't imagine using anything less than 8... But then I have to ask, why don't you use a higher value? I'm not being rude, but I'm just curious.

But the worst part about the TT, is the Mulsanne straght. I have fillings as well, and I do agree with you!. But the biggest problem, is that my G27 shakes, rattles and vibrates like hell on the Mulsanne straight. :irked:

Hope you catch up with us, and good luck, @JogoAsobi! :D

I am thinking about getting myself a DFGT soon, possibly within the next few months. I cannot wait to join in the fun. đź‘Ť

T500RS is pretty powerful, so if you go to high with the FFB, you can get clipping effect...
For FF cars and some 4WD in GT6 I used to run as high as 7, but only did 4 for most others.

With v.1.09 I will now have to bump those values up a couple of points.
The v.1.09 update seems to have affected T500 wheels a bit more.
There is even a thread devoted to the topic.

Great news!!

You are rapid with the DS3 and you will be even better with the wheel!!

Be prepared for the dip in form, you will come back stronger when you get used to it đź‘Ť

I've had mine for almost 3 months now and I don't think about it anymore. The first couple of days were a little
iffy, even to the point of thinking will I ever get used to it.

Good luck with it and have a great time!! It makes the game so much better. I couldn't go back to DS3.

 :gtpflag:

Alright, I see. I did try a T500RS once, and it was pretty powerful compared to my G27. So I'm sorry for my inconvinience, should have thoght it more through before. I posted.

About the T500; I really liked it! The FFB, the paddleshifters, the pedals, and the TH8RS made the wheel mindblowingly great  The only thing stopping me from buying one, was the price. Too expensive for me, sadly. :(

But I'm glad you have a T500RS, and a TH8RS. It's a great wheel and shifter, and I really hope you're enjoying it!

Gave the TS030 at Le Mans another shot. Got a bit more into it after learning when to shift to 2nd and when not to.

Down to a 3:36.019. Nailed some corners, was scruffy in others:
  • Got squirrely exiting The Esses, which cost maybe 0.050/.1
  • Nailed Tertre Rouge
  • Got squirrely exiting the first Mulsanne chicane, again costing maybe .050/.1
  • Nailed the 2nd Mulsanne chicane
  • Nailed Mulsanne Corner
  • Nailed Indianpolis and Arnage
  • Didn't scrub off enough speed in the first Porsche curve and had to brake and shift to 3rd mid-corner to not run off the road. Cost me a good .4/.5 at least
  • Nailed the last corner in the Porsche Curves complex, great run down to the chicanes
  • Got the first Ford Chicane down ok but was too cautious in the 2nd, cost me around .1/.2
So ideally looking for a low 3:35.

Holy 🤬! , and you are 0 ABS to top it off...:scared:

That's just mental. I managed a 3:47.6 and I'm not sure how I kept it on the track. Although I did find this TT much easier than the final round of the GT Academy.

It's my favourite track so that helps a lot (but can I have the 1955-1967 variant please PD? ;)). The other thing was just getting comfortable with the car. It has some odd characteristics, but once you become accustomed to them it's actually quite an easy car to drive. :) đź‘Ť

@FordMKIVJ5 I'm starting to get used to the track now, I see why you like it đź‘Ť

Thanks for the tips on the last section in the dark, helped greatly

within .750 of you now :dopey:. EDIT .350 đź‘Ť

Loads more for you to shave off I'm sure.....and maybe a little for me

Great news! Really hope you enjoy it . Had a DFGT when I got GT5P, and I loved it, and I really hope you do as well!

So what you're saying is... we should enjoy being faster than you while you're climbing the DS3-to-DFGT learning curve. :embarrassed:

Are you going to use a sponge ball, bungie cord, or polyethylene tampon for your brake pedal?

Well thank you all for the encouragement, I've been at it for a few hours today doing laps around HSR in a Lamborghini Gallardo detuned to 500pp just to get a feel for whole thing for now, way off the DS3 pace as expected but i'm hopeful that it won't take too long to get back on form.

My setup for it at the moment is less than perfect really, the table i'm having to use is just a bit too high and the pedals are lose on a bit of cardboard underneath it and it's difficult to position myself with any real sense of comfort.

As you can see from these pics, I took the bungee cord mod option as it was a bit cheaper [ÂŁ2.59 pair pack] than the squash balls [ÂŁ4.99 triple pack] when I was out picking it all up today.

I will eventually get a wheel stand pro, perhaps next months pay check might cover it, and I want to get some rubber pedal pads too, the plastic is just too slippy for my socks.

I am happy......:D  đź‘Ť :gtpflag:

Nice work. đź‘Ť

I've got another .7/8 to shave off ideally as I really lost a lot in the first Porsche curve, but would be happy with another .5 off.

This track just has so many fast flowing corners, the Esses are my favourite. Getting the ultimate line through there and power over the crest as the car just wants to run wide. Indianapolis is great as well and has multiple different approaches that can be used. Also when you get it completely hooked up through the Porsche curves and can feel the downforce pushing you into the pavement is amazing. Yeah, love this track.

Might sound strange but my absolute favourite bit is just blasting down the Mulsanne. Something really special about that. :D

Now at 3:35.303 for 29th.

But have been .4 faster than that at the timing point exiting Mulsanne corner (2:01.818 vs 2:02.2xx). .2 left in Indianpolis corner and carried too much brake into the first Porsche curve which compromised my speed through the next left-right, but nailed the last left hander. Also pretty much nailed the chicanes, although I might have been better served slowing a bit more for the last one in order to get a faster exit.

Ideally looking for around a 3:34.5.

I think I asked you once on your profile page what galaxy you herald from.

Ty, ty. I haven't had a chance to go check the time sheets, but I hope it motivated y'all to do a sub-9:00. đź‘Ť

Motivated & inspired, yes!.........sub 9:00........No!

I think you need to check your leader board!! You are at the top of mine......by a long way!!

EDIT: Spoke too soon, you've been overtaken......not by me!
