Notice of Account Ban measures

Guys it has only been 46 days since V2.11 got released and the virus really started to spread in GT5.

Feb 18th, Release of V2.11...release of hacking program

March 6th, Release of T/T with PD supplied cars...combat any cheaters

March 27th, Servers Off Line for almost 1.5 to 1.9 hours ***

April 3rd, Drift T/T no tuning?

*** Why were the servers down...Insert program into servers ***

Could be nothing, but there is a pattern here.

Folks have to realize it has NOT been too long.

If PD does nothing, GT series is dead if any future games are externally saved thanks to the hackers.

OR

If PD BANS everyone with it, it is the price they must gamble on IMHO.

IRL, not every account / customer is with you forever. They need new blood to replace the ones that are not happy or have lost interest or wont be returning. Such as new technology churns out the older ones, it goes to say it is the same with people. For 1 of you lost, there will be more to replace you....just the fact of life.

Plus, I dont believe everyone has one or even cares for one, but I naturally dont have figures to back it up.

Nismo34 and thelvynau
They have access to DLC.Although I dont think it actually add the car to the garage in gt mode ( you would have to add the car each time you start the game up ) but with the secret menu you have access to the dlc tracks and cars in arcade mode.Oh yea and DLC paints.Thats the one thing I hated and im assuming played a part in this.I hope they mean the seasonals when they say online and not on the profile.

Either way I already switch my game save so I have no more hybrids or any traces.Unless ofcourse they have logs of cars I had on my profile. Then im screwed.

Im seconding this question. Has me genuinely curious...

The term "piracy" implies the illegal reproduction of a copyrighten product so that may seem misleading. Whether one trades, sells or just uses the altered copyrighten product for their own use, it still breaks the PD user agreement.

Is this thread really necessary?

I told you so! Nanny nanny boo boo stick your head in doo doo...

Absolutely needed for entertainment value :P Well, if it keeps all the neener neeners here and not cluttering other threads where info is actually being exchanged 👍

Lol, there's 14 people viewing this thread, I better lock it before it becomes abusive. :sly:

Just yesterday I was actually thinking about giving in to this modding business. Glad I didn't.

Well anyone got banned?

I can log in my every psn without problems :D

Ummm I think you need to ease up I asked a question because I didnt understand something as you do when you wish to gain more knowledge.

You questioned why I said what I did by asking if it was my interpretation of the ToS. I responded by saying no it was not my interpretation but my experience over 35 years of dealing with software piracy.

I did not say that creating hybrids was piracy what I said was that modifying the software under any circumstances was illegal.

Im seconding this question. Has me genuinely curious...

See above!

I can't wait for the threads of people getting banned to start pouring in, blaming it on other people. Glad I never really got a hold of a hacked car.

I think all out banning them is a little harsh, they should make a feature so you cant enter seasonal events with hacked cars.

I have made and used hybrid cars, but I have never used to cheat on Time Trials, I only used them to fool around online.

Same here. I found the program online and saw how easy it would be to hack a car, but I have no interest in doing so. Especially if it does make the car specs 'more realistic'

Ok, thread locked. I was just giving my 2cents.

EDIT: Actually, you're entitled to voice your opinion(s). ;)

I doubt that more than a handful of people will get banned. And the message is just that - a message, meant to scare people.

Banning any significant number of people depresses future sales, game developers/distributors only do this for very serious offences.

They could've easily implemented a legality check with a patch. They chose the easier route - ban a few people that were very obviously in the wrong (used hybrids in TT, I guess will be unbanned for GT6 etc), issue a message and call it good. Shows how little they care.

Yet, it's already more than I expected. I thought they'd do nothing.

So, I'm guessing that everyone is safe and there's no need to back-up, erase, etc.

I haven't checked yet, II have to go to school, I don't even wan't to check!
If you have been banned, vent our your anger here (within the forums guidelines)
