No, I meant trying to use something as trivial as re-doing the Oath to foreshadow Obama's upcoming term.

Hey do you guy's think that there will be yet another terrorist attack now that we have a new president, now that we are at our least prepared?

If the president was an atheist would he still have to swear on an oath with a bible present?

To be fair, it was the Chief Justice who messed up the words - and they only re-did it as a precaution against conspiracy whackos and whiners.

Also, he didn't swear his oath on the Bible - and he's not the only President to have done that.

I was going to say, the 'I barack steve obama' part was said, for which Barack then started repeating, then the chief justice decided he wanted to carry on, totally throwing Obama off track.

I'm also fed up of all this Obama hating by the guys who didn't want him to get in. He is president, deal with it, and give the guy a chance before you write off the next 4 years.

I thought he swore his oath on the bible the first time, but not the second.

Yeah, it was to prevent any pointless lawsuits.

Yes, he did, during the full ceremony they used the Bible used in Lincoln's inauguration. But a Bible is not required. In the past it has been a law book and various other books.

IF the first time actually counted... :D
Good point. I'm assuming it didn't if he had to do it again.
I direct you both to the first quote by Famine. He didn't have to do it again. He is not having to reissue orders that he gave before the redo.

And there is still question as to whether the oath is even required. Article 2 of the Constitution requires an oath, however the 20th Amendment just says that at noon on January 20th the terms of president and vice president end and their successors begins. No mention of an oath. So, since then the oath is truly just being done as a legal precaution. It could be argued that it is not necessary at all.

All I have to do is listen to him to write off the next 4-8 years.

And Hollywood has pledged to help President Obama, and push their agenda.

Hypocrites. Where was your pledge to do all this BS when Bush was in office? I also love how all the things they are pledging to stop doing is all stuff they started, like bottled water and obnoxious cars. Congratulations, guys, you have pledged to end your stupid trends with new stupid trends. Woooo change!!!

Wait, is Dakota Fanning even old enough to vote? Not for another four years.

I wonder how many in that video are even registered to vote.

You surprised? Its hollywood, the number 1 reason I avoid TV most of the time (along with politics). I'm sure Obama didn't ask for the american media to overhype the hell out of the inaugaration or for Hollywood to once again feed us crap we don't need.

@FK's video

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!

Creepy socialist vibe at the end!!!!

That video is seriously disturbing.

I pledge:
- to be selfish
- to be brown (not green)
- to use the plastic bags at the grocery store.
- to continue to ignore my neighbors
- to eat as much red meat as possible
- to own at least 3 guns at all times
- to refuse to pay people to beg
- to refuse to buy Christmas presents for other people's children.

I pledge, to be the change.

Interesting how Anthony Kiedis of the red hot chili peppers completely wrecks it by going on about Funkadelica.

But will you flush after both a single and a deuce?

I will give Jason Bateman credit for adding the only entertainment value that video had with that line.

I don't see the problem with people helping the less fortunate... You guys act like its a BAD thing 👎
You've missed the point. It's not that we're against it, it's that we're against Hollywood suddenly wanting to help the poor after the last 8 years with Bush. Where were they then?

Well, were they helping us before Bush Jr.?

Its not the cause we are against, its the people that suddenly want to help that we are against.

It is that they act like they weren't able to before. They could have done every single thing they said a week ago, but they are making it sound like they can now do it because of President Obama.

And helping the poor isn't the only BS stuff they said. Most of that video is hypocritical crap. "I'm going to buy a hybrid and I will only flush when I poo." President Bush did not prevent you from letting the yellow mellow.
