ok guys, stuck on the gt-r slipstream mission, I have tried what everyone has said, overtaking right b4 the corner, then letting them pass on the straight, but everytime I pass them, they never catchup. help!!!!! yes, I keep them right behind me, or stay right behind them. ne help appreciated, I need that zonda!!! lol

at the very first turn.. overtake them and make sure the speed is about 165m/hr
or 275km/hr.. and then run inside the yellow line..and from then on.. don't brake.. til will catch up and they will draft at you... and u will speed up .. i managed to pass the finish line 2 seconds earlier than the 1st car. the key is pass them at 275km/hr on the corner..

I'm having one heck of a time with this one too!!!
Mission 23 I believe. I always finish about 1.5 seconds behind first, and I've tried it about 8 times!!! When I use the first groups draft I hit about 175, and an down to around 163 by the following staight away. After that I stay on the very inside but cannot catch up to the lead guy. The original group is lost way way behind me and I'm just stuck alone. AGH!!!

nope, tried it twice and still 3.9 seconds behind the leader. they just don't catch up to me in time for it to be effective.

bro dont be on the bottom be on the top yello line at the start draft then pass the ai right when you pass the leader of the pack slow down to 168 the just keep looking back to make sure hes around a 6 car length distance from you then on the straight line up with the closes car behind of you wait for him to come up close to you the dive low to avoid him he usally brings 3 cars with him let them all pass then draft them in to the turn then repeat un till last lap final turn the right here you going to want to sling shot round the cars in front of you going in to the turn then with your speed around 173-175 dive low to the turn then stay there until you fell you can get the draft off 1st but remeber draft works in a straight line in a turn in doesnt curv so lets say hes below the high yello line his draft if you close enough will be some where near the out side wall the closer you get to him the more the draft will be centered on him hope this helps you out and sorry about the bad spelling good luck 👍
i give up. i've been doing this for 2 hours. this last run i swear i did flawless. didn't bump a sinle car. i was using their slip to get about 168-175 everytime and had them use my slip every time too. and what happens? i get my worst time yet! 3 seconds behing. so frusterating.

Just keep trying everyone. As you learn the tracks during races you will get better at the Mission Hall. So far today I have knocked off 13,14,15,17,18,19,20. I am having a really good day! Only 11 and 34 to go!

Need help with the Miata race (I think # 6 or so)I cannot beat him! I close in on the right and slight left, but he out accelerates me to the finish. I have only gotten as close as .200. I can't beat it!!!! Please help!!!

The only thing you can't do is bump the cars, because you get a penalty.

So, I can cut through the grass? Does that work for this race? I would rather do it without cheating.
I know what you guys mean... the GTR slipstream challenge was a real hassle, but I finally accomplished it (and won by about 6 seconds) after about a dozen tries. It's part knowing what to do and part luck with those drivers with single digit IQs in the other GTRs
My spin on it:
Start out and overtake on the first corner. 165mph is a little too slow IMO... I did it at 168-9. From there on, drive steadily on the inside of the outermost yellow line.
Keep an eye on the people behind you and if one of them is going to pass you, get the hell out of his way, since they seem more fond of ramming you than actually passing. Despite the speed boost you recieve from getting rear-ended, it's actually counterproductive, since it just slows down your help for this mission.
By the time two (maybe 3 if they're not being idiots) pass you, you'll be getting close to the next corner. ALWAYS try to slipstream around them before you hit the corner because the morons in the other skylines actually hit the brakes before going into the turn. A target speed to pass at should be right at 170 give or take a mph.
Keep repeating this process and strive AT ALL TIMES to grant those GTR's behind you slipstream. You can start to catch slip stream from the first place guy when you're about 1 second behind him (this should happen on the straight before the last turn). Slipstream the first place guy, go around and take the win.

I got lucky taking a risk (jumping from slipstreaming with the pack to pursuit of the 1st position as far away as I was) and managed to pass the first place guy about halfway down last stretch before the final turn. Catching slipstream since the beginning of that straight gave me loads of speed and it just carried me that far ahead.
well i'm on like my second dozen tried with the gt-r slipstream and i can't get any closer that 1.5, 2 seconds! and in reality that's a really long ways away. i just don't get it. i swear i do everything perfect. don't nudge a single car. alternate slip streams. i hate this game right now. i've never been so fed up with a gt game. i've seriously wasted hours trying to do this about 18 times so far.

i need to try and see if there is a way to turn off the pit stop menu that takes you from going three times the speed to live view??? anyone?

Maybe u are, but I am not. This mission cut my topic, so F off. I am sorry I am not as far along in the game as you are. Some of us have lives, careers, and wifes, and families to go home to. Go ahead, be lonley and play GT4 all F'ing night.
