Ongoing PSN outages

Quite funny, if we count the time we get disconnected from game servers playing gt5, and looking for new servers, the ammount of time that doesnt go to playing would be like weeks...I dont have anything against hackers as long as they arent hurting anyone. Sony and all other corporarions ripping people of, its time to fight corporate greed.

Sony never go to see a single persons IP address from any source, the information disclosed by both third parties and from Geohotz HDs were ordered to be 'attorney eyes only'. So Sony don't have your IP and never did in this regard.

What the information was for was to try and tie GH to SCEA (which he claimed he didn't know existed), that would have allowed the trial to take place in California, which would have most likely favoured Sony's case.

Read the court order which spells all this out clearly, rather than jumping to conclusions.

Maybe its the al qaida thats behind these attacks? As fas as i know ur US government likes to draw paralells between piracy and terrorist activity. I also believe the main reason you fight terrorism is because you think they are pirates? It is also no lie that the US government threatened Sweden to take down "the piratebay", all because of corporate greed.

Im sick and tired to pay for half quality things, like justin bieber, lil freaking wayne, need for speed, test drive etc....god forbid me if i spend my hard earned dinars on those things...

I managed to get the new seasonal races last night, and made about 1.2 million before I lost my connection, but from the looks of it, I may have to try one of those book thingies instead today. Were does one get those? Is there a store or something that dispenses them?

Fighting for what you believe in is of course a laudable act, but perhaps not if it causes problems for the general public. Well, you know, there's a problem when the so-called "greedy corporations" that actually MAKE things you like to use ... have to tighten up their assets security. You lose.

I think there's a strong probability that when this "outage" ends we will be faced with a:
a) firmware upgrade;
b) New PS3 EULA and PSN TOS.

And if this happens, I bet the new versions of said EULA and TOS will be even stricter than they are now. In the end, we will all say "I agree" (99% of us won't even read) because that's just how it goes, if you want to play in SONY's playground, if you want to use their goods, you follow their rules. If you don't ... ask the ANON to provide one better. Problem is ... they couldn't care less about you, their own game is called ... "THE GREEDY CORPORATIONS".

Info about the new seasonals and OCD we can't play with just yet is in the seasonal events forum, "why no muscle cars seasonals?" thread. I'm guessing it will get a dedicated thread when PSN is back up. OCD features tons of french cars and a few rally cars, plus the usual suspects, hinting at some French event next week perhaps.

I kinda don't mind not having PSN for a while.

It was extremely infuriating trying to constantly sign in to PSN, I gave up on signing in and then decided to play GT5. The thing is, nothing has really interfered with the GT5 experience to me, except having to get rid of the "Do you want to sign in to PlayStation Network?" pop-ups and Remote Racing is dead at the moment. The reason being online racing isn't that great, and the majority of the cars can't be gifted, so that's pretty much dead. All in all, I'll be waiting until PSN is back up.

I couldn't agree more. I've been off the Play Station for about two weeks, I come back to it tonight and I can't log in. I worked hard to buy the PS and the games that Sony make, I work hard most of the time and then when I want to relax for five minutes I find some jack ass has hijacked the network??!! Thanks guys but you are hitting the wrong people.

Here's an idea for the hackers,...why don't you take your 'talents' and go and create your own games console and do what ever you like with it. I'm sure you will then understand the sway of public opinion towards yourselves.
