PS3 is a gaming console and a bloody good one at that. A lot of development went into it that cost money. They sell it and its games to us consumers for a profit; we play it, enjoy it and wait in anticipation for their next development. The cycle goes on until some smart ass who thinks he's so good using what many smarter people invented to makes something that inevitably will stop the cycle. Its a game console that someone else developed, if he (dont need to remember his name) is so smart he can make his own and leave us alone.
No matter what the naive, lets call him stupid short sited selfish **** ssss for short, supporters say, this is criminal, the laws of the passed just arent up to todays injustices and need to get with the times. This has the potential to cost millions in future income for a lot of people not to mention the loss to consumers in future development. I'd like to see Sony win this fight and set precedence so they can keep making Sony consoles even better, these fly by nighter terrorists are never going to be clever enough to do that for us, so go sick em Sony you have my support and that of most honest people I feel.
Maybe need a petition thread to show our support to Sony?
I bet the hackers couldnt fill one page with support for their cause,( well its not really a cause more a quest to have the rite rip off other peoples good ideas), that is unless they cheat again and hack user names to do it. Who in this age likes game console hacker they cheat to win, the new ages lowest life form.
Supporter of these cheats feel free to reply and make fools of your selves as all have done so far, need o take a good look at what you are really supporting.

The Hackers are terrorists. Really? Even if it was the 'hackers' who have brought down PSN, which there doesn't seem to be much evidence to support, aside rumors on the web, calling them terrorists is a massive disrespect for people killed by real terrorists in this world.
You need to get some perspective my friend. Everything that goes wrong is not some huge conspiracy, things go wrong sometimes, even for big companies like Sony. Big deal PSN's down for a few days.

So I bought Socom 4 on release day. I went to enter the pro code, and then it went to a blank screen. It did not say it was downloading or anything. So i tried it again, and then it said the code was invalid. Does this have to do with the playstation network being down?

exactly, meant it to be m8, could have used the word terrorist but didnt want to affen some people only know that word in one context, the hole support for hacking is ridiculous, what do they ever do for the good of man kind, viruses, rip-off programs and server crashes, that is a form of cyber terrorism if you look at the definition of the word and not the liberal use of it now days. Bit over the top too but been around gaming a long time and understand how the evolution process works just frustrated with all the "world owes me" attitude from some people who think they have the rite to no pay and don't understand the consequences.

I'm not supporting it but I'm not going against it either. If it was simply a case of hackers doing all this just simply because they can, then I'd condemn their actions, but that's not the case as anyone who has read up on the situation properly will know. I'm not supporting either it because their actions defeat the purpose of the goals they're trying to acheive, they believe Sony are denying people features of a product they've paid for but their own actions deny people features of the product they've paid for, so in that sense the hackers are not acting in the best interests of the people that they claim to be fighting for.

Ok. Cyberterrorism is bringing down a computer game system. I thought Cyberterrorism would be bringing down banking or DOD/Major Government computers, not hacking a computer games system. I'm yet to be convinced that 'Cyberterrorists' are responsible for this outage anyway, rather than it being some stuff up on Sonys part.

Anonymous has posted multiple times that it is not them.
But the problem with this is:
1- Anon has no organization, it is simply a collective of "hackers" without any type of structure or leader. Several rogue groups collectively call themselves Anonymous, so just because a few individuals from the group state that it wasn't them doesn't really mean anything.
2- Anon has attacked organizations before, issued statements saying it wasn't them, when 1^ turned out to be the case.
So whether or not it was them we wont know for days, weeks, who knows.
Also, I just read someone posted a video claiming responsibility for the outage. When I find it, if it is merited, then I will provide a link. However, it is most likely just a hoax.

On a lighter note... How is everyone celebrating my imaginary friend Jesus' 2nd Birthday? That's right not only is he the son of god (allegedly), my imaginary friend (arguably a greater honor), AND he gets two birthdays!??!?!?! Sounds like this guy has it all man... A chic or two on the side that no one ever talks about, 12 doods following him around asking to wash/ kiss his feet, hang out with me etc... perhaps I shall ask him to fix this PSN issue, when I get around to it.. Oh and he told me that Sony nerfed their Warehouse of mainframe servers which in turn, borked their regional servers so they decided to restore from a backup and do some other housekeeping and patching... Oh and he also says that your credit card numbers are in the hands of some Ukrainian and Chinese con-men who used Sony's lax security policies (anything for expediency and to save a buck), so dont be suprised when those adult "devices" and hotel rooms at L'Hotel du Paris show up... He tried to tell you to only use comps and small denomination gift cards... have a good Easterrrrr...Jeez (thats what i call him cause we are bros) 2nd birthday... and remember, in case of rapture this g25 is up for grabs... A Sallam Alekum! my brothas!
