Ongoing PSN outages

Just started MGS4 again to keep me entertained till PSN is back up. Its a fun way of passing the time. Answer to have fun, PS3 and MGS4:)

I was going to do that till I saw how many A-spec and B-spec events I had unfinished.
 
I've just gone onto a (very old) game (Nascar 08, laugh all you want but I'm bored and haven't played it in years) and its got a game update that I've put on but I haven't put it in this console before, is this a sign that PSN is partially functional (too find/download it or am I missing something?
 
I have just been taking pictures in GT5. I think I got some good ones ;)

Well I am off. Hopefully PSN will be back up and running when I get back (wont be for another 9 hours) so I can do some of my trades. :sly:

He's more correct than you are. Under the UCC (Uniform Commercial Code) you enter into the licensing agreement the second you open the box. You enter into contracts and other agreements all the time. You're just not aware of it.

Anonymous has revealed that their next attack against Sony will be carried out when the PlayStation Network is back online.

When we asked Anonymous member Kato – who will be involved in the next attack against Sony – via their IRC about the group’s future plans regarding attacks on Sony, Kato told VGN365 that they are currently preparing their next attack against Sony; it’ll be scheduled to happen when the PlayStation Network is back online – the attack will NOT be against the PSN, just to clarify.

Anonymous will not do anything to disrupt the PlayStation Network.

The contents of the attack has yet to be revealed but be sure to stick with VGN365 for any updates regarding what the attack will actually do to Sony.

Edit : It looks like they attacked the PSN first to obviously enable them to do whatever they are going to do next ? Which hopefully won't involve the PSN again lol .
 
because of this outage i have a quick question regarding gt5...

will tuning a car in practice mode transfer over to online races?

thats the only thing i am really doing is tuning cars while i cant play online :(

Wow i didn't think about this, that's all i have been doing lately when on PS3. I'm gonna tear my hair out if they don't stay the same. Better get writing them down lol.
 
i am sure the settings will be saved, just wondering if the physics like grip and what not is the same in practice and online

i hope it is

I can see PSN getting a new ToS where they monitor us 24/7 when signed in.

Yes it will because its saved to YOUR save data and NOT PSN.

I believe in light of the new "PSN is currently undergoing maintenance" message, Sony are working their socks off to restore PSN. Only a guess, but the most logical one at that.

The tune will transfer over, but there IS a difference in the physics when you hop online. So no, a perfect tune offline will not be the same online. ;)

Seriously. There are ADULT ways of dealing with legal issues. People have a right to protest, to picket, to attend trials, to lobby politicians. They do not have a right to hack into company mainframes. I'm tired of a stupid bunch of winy babies ruining something for everyone else. Maybe they're not hacking PSN but they're the reason it's down, so, find a legal way to deal with this, Anonymous. Grow the @#*( up.

In the meantime I think I'm gonna start over on GT5P just because...
 
Geez when will PSN see us again, my drivers are lonely, maybe their arrows are on the blue setting now.:)

Hmmm, the clip CLEARLY STATES and I quote "Sonys offical position shows that the PSN is down for maintenance, we realise that attacking the PSN is not a good idea" So NO they didn't lie.:)
