Still down in Australia.

I was connected last night yet a friend couldn't, but thought it odd I couldn't run remote racing due to "site maintenance" in the log in window. I got home this arvo with Good Friday tomorrow and BAM! Won't sign in. I hope this issue is fixed sooner than later, but I am not holding my breath.

just saying again if you havent read in the earlier part of this forum sony is getting hacked by a group called annonomys because there prosicuting a guy named geohot who jailbroke the ps3 so this group is retaliating by messing with sonys servers ... not the first time this happend they also have hacked big companys such as at&t , pay pal etc.

Confirming Auckland as well. Stupid hackers and stupid Sony for getting hacked :grumpy: And I don't think that suing them would help a lot :indiff:

I have not turned on the pS3 for a month or more because i started playing PC sims(iracing)...so i decided i would give GT5 another crack tonight and this what i'm greeted with - 80710A06 - guess i won't be playing GT5 anymore

So someone hacks the PS3, gets busted and punished and then his mates think that's unfair and punish Sony by hacking their servers and inconveniencing basically their entire user base. Cheers guys, way to go!

That's not exactly what happened. Geohot is not affiliated with Anonymous in anyway. If you know anything about jailbreaking it is simply releasing the constraints a company has on their software so that third party and homebrew software can be developed and ran on the said operating system.

If you recall due to Geohots previous actions "jailbreaking" is no longer illegal. While it may void a manufacturers warranty or break a company's terms of service agreement, it is not illegal.

Anonymous is their own machine.

Just don't pin it on Geohot, I love all my liberated devices.

You forgot a ' " ' in your color tag.....

Mine is down. It was working fine just 10 minutes ago. Now it's unable to connect. Someone mentioned a hacker? Really? At this hour?

This will also be a same time post.

exactly!!!!! no hacker... simply an update

I can say trying to log in through the GT5 "My Home" on the GT website doesn't work. Server's down for everything.

I get this error 80710A06 this morning and no luck in connecting so far. Will try again at noon, cheers!

I'm also getting this error message on my account, my non GTP account and my brother's account.

The past few days have been marginally difficult to log into Online, but a few tries usually got it.

The 80710A06 error is impassable though.

Near the bottom is a mention on PSN Service Outages, yet the page isn't available when I try to read more into detail.

Ya ok. I would love to know where you're getting your information from...

Maybe from the official Playstation website?

So you're basing the fact that it is an update off of a single post that says nothing about an update?

Exhilarating. Lol.

Have you met Google?

Umm... It's not everybody. I am logged in to PSN right now, in Wisconsin.

Check again! Haha

+1. If it was just an update please explain to me why playstation blog is down and their message is so vauge. If it was an update they would have said sorry for the inconvience but we are updating at this time.... They didn't incase you didn't know.

And again, lol nothing about an update. I hate to break it to you but Anonymous has been attacking Sony for weeks, and each time the servers go down they post that message. If you also check the Official Sony PSN site it says "We are aware that service has been interrupted....blah blah." doesn't sound like scheduled maintenance or they were prepared to deal with the servers crashing.

Again, Google is amazing.
