Don't know if it's mentioned yet but the sticker uploader and community feature is available for everyone now. You can also see more pages of uploaded decals. Like photos or liverys.
Great that we get that endurance races again.. I missed those allot.
Now 20mil for 8 laps so what will be rewarded for the endurance races?
There's also mentioned that we get new tracks in the next month's.. I hope real life tracks.. not a big fan of those fantasy tracks.

The best about these updates is that EVERYTHING is FREE.
At the moment, the way they kept referring to it as " Free " as opposed to " Planned Update "has me feeling we may be making " Purchases " later.....

Shorted sightedness on their end, that's all. Expecting a lot players "who totally gave up on gt" to come crawling back.
They may have saved their bacon with a fairly rapid response, still lets see what gets delivered and the follow up to December's release will be crucial. We do not want the big plays to stop after this..........

This isn't a case of fixing the problems present within the game and having things cut out well. This is a case of things that are fundamentally wrong with how Polyphony and by extension the GT franchise operates. The competition has exposed said problems with how the company develops, operates, and treats its fans and by extension, sim racing. And yet Polyphony won't respond, instead sticking to what has worked for them. Sure, it might make them the top dog in terms of sales, but I have more fun driving and racing in stuff like PCARS 2 and Assetto Corsa then I do in GT gamesi n it's current form. What worked in 2010, hell, in 2005, doesn't work anymore.

I am wondering who you're on the phone to? You don't even have the game? how is your online racing going in those mentioned games?

Why should they do that?
In fact you can say that its PD actually taking back part of their plan of the "future being all about online mp/e-sports" since they now decided to add a single player carreer.
They have the data:they know how many people bought the game and how many of them log in every week. Are you sure that they did not do that in order to keep the game alive?Imo this was part of a "back up" plan:if "online does not go are we expect then we add more single player carreer into the game".There is no way that they created that stuff in one/two months.Same goes with the cars. This "carreer mode" was ready (or worked) before release. They decide to add it now.Why you think that is?
I am not moaning in any way.I am just pointing out the obvious: online did not work as they wanted, some people were moaning a lot so they decided to give those people what they were asking and have a title that work both ways:for single and mp players. Its a good thing for both imo.
I should have been clearer, plenty of banter from many feeling that the uproar from the GT community, regarding GT mode, would not be satisfied for some time if at all by Kaz. PD have delivered very quickly and I think that has surprised many outspoken, disappointed fans.... I love it and although it looks as if it was not ready for the release date, am very happy this update is here so quickly!

To everyone saying 'IT'S ALL FREE!'

It only actually says the 3 cars included in the next update are free... The December cars may not be... I hope that they are, but it doesn't say they definitely are free :(

Not trying to burst bubbles, but before everyone kicks off if they aren't free lol

The bubbles will still float. Read this article.

"... the following 12 cars will be added to the game in the free update of December 2017:..."

Actually,if my English are correct those cars are going to be part of a free update. So they are going to be free.

I'm confused. GT Sport launched with a new vision but now it suddenly injects some of that classic stuff one would have expected from GT7. What is this game?

This news combined with the Black Friday discount does tempt me nonetheless. About time, but I still miss several things like the most nostalgic original tracks from the 1990s.

All I hope about the GT League is :
- the possibility to do qualifications sessions before a race
- having real endurances races (please please please please no "24 minutes of Dragon Trail" or something like that)
- new events and championships when new content is coming into the game.

If at least these 3 points are respected it's gonna be a massive **** up to the trolls who spit on the game !

I wonder this.
Endurance
24 real hours?
With no suspending race.
Then in a mix of servers offline.
Thoughts?

I feel similar. I was so glad to see GTS got rid of all the fluff and found a new focus. This first major update feels like a 1080 on their own vision (SR down). It's nice for the people that wanted this but i personally couldn't care less about about an offline GT mode, Sambabusses and pick up trucks.
I would preferred it if the update was about new tracks, a missing Ford GT, dynamic weather, Bop balancing etc.

Wow impressive 1.06 / 1.07 updates. Wasn't it worth calling them 1.1 or even 2.0 ?

Finally some positive news on a game I played as much as I could during 2 weeks until I got bored by a bunch of things and got Battlefront 2 (which is pretty damn good)

Nice...
So people that actually did not care about the "lack of single player mode" and wanted to see impovements in the online/e-sports section (examples penalty/DR-SR rating system or BoP) are gonna stop asking for these to be adressed or improved because of an ....offline single player carreer mode. For people that pretty much want a better online experience this does nothing.
Like I said this is great news -adding "single player career"- for people that were actually asking for it.Also tells alot about the "new direction" of GT,how people responded to that and how that forced PD to react*.
Free new "toys" (cars) to play with, should be welcome by all players (if not then they are as bias as they can be).

*Unless it was planned before release. In this case the game was released in an unfinished state.IMO it was a backup plan if things did not go as well as they wanted.

GT's new vision was Sport mode and it has largely been a success, however its important to note that GT's A spec was much loved throughout the years and GTS needed it.

Sport was a great idea but it didn't need to forget the other things fans enjoyed in the series. In the future I can definitely see Sport mode being an addition to all GT's like A spec and B spec. Sport will be the place for online racing.

Which is how you know it was planned and not the result of some internet backlash campaign

That tweet alone says another thing mate.
IMO they were ready in case the "new direction" was not going to go as planned.

EDIT:If this not the case, then they rushed the release (after they already moved it from it's original release date of November 15 2016 in the first place) and it was an unfinished product, something that many people were saying -and were getting attacked for that from others-.So planned or not, their "plan" was clearly a bad one.

Oh sure. They've planned a feature, because they know a good 50% or more of their audience want it and sales might be disappointing if they don't put it in. Then - here's the really clever bit - they don't tell anyone about it in their marketing.

GT3-ish aesthetics (which is a good thing!) Copy and paste all the events of GT3 and we'll have a huge career mode.
