In the TG interview it does state that the Dec Dlc would contain cars as well as tracks.Lets hope that it is true

I don't think it does.....it says we plan on starting DLC in December not that it all comes in December....

The tweets which might be semi official suggest variations of existing....

What is clear despite the comments about no official communication from PD and Sony is the communication is being ramped up e.g.
TG article being 'coincedentally' published now...so we may hear more news sources over the day and tomorrow....

I wonder is it a GT-R Group A (BNR32)? or just basic gtr with livery?

It has no visible roll cage, bonnet clips and a different front bumper to the BNR32, so it looks to be just a livery.

It would be timely than putting in this DLC some classic circuits, taking advantage of the symbolic date and the natal.

This would have a very positive impact on the game, which is being criticized and hated.

I noticed the update notice yesterday so I thought it would automatically down the new 1.09 patch this morning, still nothing yet.

I was thinking. Look at this image:

What is the logic of having CLUBMAN CUP, if there is no Clubman Stage Route 5, famous urban street in the nights in Tokyo?

What is the logic of having a Mazda championship if they do not make Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca available?

Will we have Laguna Seca and Clubman Stage Route 5 now in December?

My bigger issue is why they still call it the Clubman Cup, When to my knowledge the franchise has never featured those specific types of cars.

On that basis, does that mean we won't get the update until Sunday as it includes the "Sunday Cup". Personally, I think you are being very overoptimistic about the content in this December update. I do think there might be something other than cars and the GT League included, but wouldn't get hyped up for anything other than what has already been notified.

What’s the logic of having to patch in a massive offline mode from another game into this one, when it was suppose to be online focused?

The date for Saturday is the 20th anniversary for Gran Turismo.
Guys! Don't get high hopes for friday, after reading this:

maybe there will be news about this update on saturday and the update will be released on tuesday? I'm really confused now .

Saturday is the 20th anniversary for Gran Turismo. The update might land on Friday or Saturday because of the update. Friday probably to anticipate the anniversary.

The update could very well release on the last day of December and I don't see the problem. Actually I would prefer that to see the ridiculous meltdowns about what day in December is not December anymore :lol::lol:

 i think i have to take a step back myself and just take it as it comes and play other games while i'm waiting, friday, saturday, important date on saturday etc, it makes my head spin of all of this .

I think its releasing on Friday AND Saturday. Saturday 6AM Japan time would still be Friday in the UK, Europe and US :P. Actually, I think it will launch around 6am Saturday GMT after a maintenance period, as that is about when the last Saturday patch occurred right?

Could be, but one of the tweets said it's released on friday, if it's on friday in Japan, it would be thursday here in Norway , so the dates is all over the place righ now, maybe best to wait for news from PD themselves.

Except as of April 1, 2018, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca will be known just as Laguna Seca again.

I used google translate and this is what it says:

The final race is a car race with vehicles that will be joining in christmas update this friday
Like I said, if it isn't released by Friday it will be released next year. What a great Christmas gift though - 12 new cars for everyone!
You get a Sambabus! You get a Sambabus! Everyone gets a Sambabus!

Only for the last 17 years, before that it was just Laguna Seca. I am old so I easily remember before the name change.

I was lucky enough to walk round it with friends in October 2001. We just turned up to take a look, the only cars that were running were the Driving School open seaters - no one was around and there were no gates or anything so we walked round the outside of the whole track in the pedestrian areas. Stood in the grassy area at the bottom of the Corkscrew on the other side of the fence and had a blast watching the cars go round. You never really appreciate just how big the drop is at the corkscrew till you're actually there.

Anyway, back on topic - hopefully we get more news drip fed to us tomorrow and then a big press splurge on Friday ahead of the update Friday night/Saturday morning.

Don' forget Christmas is a normal working day in japan though, so it's possible some of the goodies could be time delayed until next week. I remember we got GT6 updates previously where something would unlock a few days later.
