For the life of me, I cannot see this blur effect that a lot of people are talking about. Other than some tearing, the game looks terrific on my PS4. Weird.:boggled:
Oh, it's definitely there for some of us. It's looking like it's a byproduct of certain TVs that don't quite blend the "ghosts" together the way other TVs do, namely plasmas (but not all).

I see that as well on ps4 but only when watching the replays - when I am driving from the cockpit I dont notice it at all.

Have not noticed this on my Samsung plasma. Get game lag issues in some races.

I have not seen this on my LCD but the game does have that annoying blur effect that makes everything look like it's on British television or something, wish I could turn that off.

Except for a few glitches (Last place instead of first, and DLC cars not appearing after I installed them) and a few annoyances (No racing music and I don't have wifi so Spotify is out, twitchy controls, and sometimes the AI wants to kill me in a crash) I love this game! It's been killing me to have to sit in class all day and then go to practice.

That sounds like an issue with 120HZ/240HZ refresh rates (aka "Soap Opera Effect") causing that. You should be able to disable that but not all LCDs have that option.

Started career mode with the Clio Cup last night, was able to do Free Practice, Quali, and Race 1, all 100% length, at Donnington Park National. Free practice I had the AI at 60%, and just spent the whole session practicing the laps. Unfortunately I don't know much of tuning so I didn't really touch the tuning part. I'm also, at the moment, not the most skilled of drivers. I have the assists set at Real, but gears at auto since I can't seem to be able to shift at the same time trying to race the car effectively, so until more practice I'll have to settle with auto gears.

In the beginning of FP I was quite frustrated because my braking references were off, I couldn't get a handle on the car (much better later when I used someone's settings found on forums), and would run off quite often in the corners, negating my time. Finally towards the end of the session I got going a little bit and was able to set one fast lap at the end to grab first place.

I upped it to 70% for Quali. A bit annoyed that for quali the car has no tire warmers, but anywho, I was able to set a quick lap in my 3rd lap and be 1st. The next several laps again had my lap time taken out because I would outbrake myself at certain corners, and my position dropped to 6th. Again, I somehow was able to string up a fast lap at the end right before session ended to qualify for pole. A bit annoyed that once the timer ends the session ends immediately and you cannot finish the lap you started before time expired.

Race 1 comes, and I am antsy. Upped the AI to 80% for the race. Off the line I started pretty well, and held first place for 3-4 laps. Made a mistake at one corner, which allowed 2nd place to go through. Immediately started to try to counter attack, and another lap passed I made another mistake which allowed 3rd and 4th to pass. Ran wide again next lap, and I'm relegated to 6th. I was able to regroup however immediately repass the two cars to move myself back to 4th. At this point in the middle of the race I was about 2 secs behind 3rd, and I was able to string together some nice laps to try to get the last podium spot. After 3-4 laps I was able to close the gap and really get behind him, bumper to bumper. But I couldn't get past him and finally made a mistake and went back to 6th. Annoyed with myself that I lost my chance at the podium, with 2 laps to go I thought well 6th is not so bad considering the mistakes I made. Yea. Unfortunately I told myself with worn tires on lap 15 that I can brake at the same point for turn 1 as I did on lap 3. Yep, 3 more cars passed by as I tried to make my way back to the race track, finally finishing the race 9th. From pole.

One thing I noticed was the AI seems to not have tire troubles. I was able to keep up, and catch them in the middle of the race. But when my tires went off with 3 laps to go, making it very hard to drive, they sped away quick.

This game is frustrating. Annoying. But more importantly, freaking brilliant.

PS4
Great cars .👍
Good physics regards handling cars .👍
love the weather cycles .👍
Reasonable graphics .👍
Gamepad was in the beginning twitchy bud could change this and it feels ok now.
And than........ yes, the AI man man man , what a disappointing :boggled: .👎
I really hope Projectcars will make them better .
Greets.

Was up until about five in the morning playing it last night. I actually quite enjoy it. I didn't go in expecting much, I learned not to buy into racing game hype after I did so with Drive Club, which left me quite disappointed. Pleasant surprise! I'm surprised with the amount of bashing I've already seen.

Before starting career I did try out the BMW E30 and 320 at HWY 1. Boy were they hard to drive. And more importantly, it shows how ****** I am lol.

Using a ds4 on ps4 with steering turned down a bit I'm not having any problems. Thing is you have to let tires warm up and you have do adapt driving style for different cars. You can't drive the gt40 like a caterham seven classic, which makes sense. Once you adjust driving style you will get the hang of it.

I have been playing for maybe 4 hours total and the smile on my face is getting bigger every minute.

As a PlayStation owner this is the game I have been waiting for since gran turismo 3.

One problem is I limit play to a certain stopping time and that hasn't worked out. I'm having to dvr my shows.

Some of the bugs are comical. Like at the end of one of the Cali Highway races the cars just stop after finishing and you watch the cutscene of the rest of the finishing cars just ram into them one after another into a jumbled pile of carnage.
That would make an excellent GIF:sly:

Congratulations, you are now in my sig...and...

You win the internet.jpg

Almost one week with the game and only play it for a couple of hours.
This blur makes me so dizzy that i think i won't turn it on again until a patch is released.

Wow. I haven't seen that at all during gameplay or in replays. I can definitely see how that would be a problem. I'm using a 2010 model Sony Bravia, for what it's worth.

Thanks for the video Johnny, boy I am having a ball. Just finished a race GT3 in 1st place. Online no doubt and you know how that goes here and there, folks who don't use brakes, I should have saved the replay. Passed the lead car on the final stretch because he cooked it and ended up in the grass. Brands Hatch, this game is amazing, nothing can compare to the feeling of clawing back from 15th to 3rd, mind you my HUD did not load at all, lol.

How do you remove that annoying blur thing, I've seen the game disable it during monitor mode but when driving it's always applied. PS4 here, I need blur gone it does nothing but muddy up to view with this soft fuzz that isn't welcoming to my eyesight.

Race 2 was pretty much a disaster. Started 4th on the grid. Off the launch and out of the first corner I was able to grab 1st place. Held that for half the race, and the lead was quite substantial from 2nd place as people made their mandatory pits. I decided to pit on lap 9, so went in...and there I sat. And sat. And sat. And sat. After an eternity, and after my engineer said there is a gear problem that they can't fix, maybe causing me to lose some gears, finally I can get going. By the time I exited pit lane, I was 10th. And again, that got me annoyed, and I started outbraking myself and going off track plenty of times, and ended up finishing 13th. I'm not that good at all. Really need to practice more.

The frustration is high.

Did you program a "request pit stop" button?

Do you mean the blurring of cars in motion? The blurring of the dash in cockpit? Something else?

No? I need to? So if there's a mandatory pit stop in Race 2, does that mean if I don't press that while entering pits it will take longer? Cause for me I pitted and pulled over, they just took forever changing tires and stuff...

I haven't pitted myself, but I've seen others say they've gone into the pits and the pit crew wasn't ready and the solution was to program a button to request a pit stop so they can be ready when you get there...just like in a real race. It might be a glitch I'm not sure, but it's worth trying...if you have buttons to spare:scared:

Summabitch. I will try that. Thanks! Now I'm 12th with 20 points while first place has 66 points, after the first round. Lol I need to step it up if I want to win the championship hahahaha

Just the whole picture has this weird filter that literally makes everything sort of have this soft fuzz look to it, but during replays it mysteriously vanishes and it looks like any other game. It's off when you are in the pits and using monitor mode to watch other drivers and you can tell as you can see no sort of fuzz affecting the output. I wonder if it's AA? I want it toggled off, I can deal with jaggies but this fuzz is hurting my eyes and I have to stop playing more than I want to.

Can you take a pic? Is there a "depth of field" setting on PS4?
