Clothes hanger intake tube tie was already on there, not my idea. :D

Does it have teh sR20? Is it 1337 JDM tyte?

How much did it cost you? It looks like its in pretty decent shape.
$400 bucks.

Which is awesome, but I've still got a ways to go before it's drivable, and worst case scenario with the burning coolant may be a screwed engine. Hopefully not.

Oh LAWD, another 240. I still have nightmares about trying to get my buddy's SR20 running.

Cool. Hopefully you can save up some money quick and start fixing little things here and there, and get to some good parts.

It'd be nice if you had a garage for that Civic. I'm actually pretty surprised it's not completely stripped already, lol.

Insurance is being gay, I had almost all my stuff taken off of it already and then they called and said they wanted to look at it (even though it only had liability) so I had to put it back together. It's been over a week and they haven't called back. Either way I want to try to sell it like it is with a running motor and no suspension.

EDIT: You getting your buddies sr20 running.

Me or we, it didn't matter. We gave up on the wiring (he hastily "tucked" everything under the dashboard without labelling) and had to call in the troops from the local 240/drifting shop Forced Fab to get the damn thing going. It runs now just fine, minus a tune, and the Spec 2 is flowing free.

How fun is the automatic?
Well, it's kind of broken in the sense that it requires near redline rpms to make a shift, apparently a pretty common problem with these cars, without a real fix known for them. Also, with the alignment off, the car burning coolant and the tires so bald they have threads coming out of them, I can't say, and probably won't be able to for a while.

Sah-weet!

For $400, its bombin'. Literally.

I demand that this car be entered in the 24 Hours of Lemons with GTP Livery.

Well, it wouldn't get very far, it would probably overheat about 15 min into the race, not to mention the transmission would kill itself.

No though, this is my car. To drive to work and stuff.

Hell no, definitely not LeMons material. This car has a future! It's got mods, racing, and hardparking to look forward to! This car has things to do, people to meet, and places to go. It'll get there eventually.

yea insurance is very uncool
they tend to make a fuss right when you want it sorted :P
when my sister crashed the insurance company had it taken to a scrappy 120 miles away, on the same day! and then wanted a look :odd:

what have you got to do to it to get it driveable?

What, no Civic anymore? Did I miss something?

Anyway, good luck with that car PB 👍

*EDIT*

Duh! The civic stands in front! Is it me or does the Civic look a bit different?

Wow, never caught those posts, but I never look into that thread anyway.

Sorry to hear PB, I loved your Civic, it looked so awesome! 👍

$400? What a steal! Lice looking ride. Don't rice it out please. Just make it look nice and new and stuff. Coffee can exhausts and stupid JDM junk need not apply.

Rice? Me? Did you really need to say that? :)

I don't know about nice and new though. I don't care for the "stock, clean" look at all. Also, a part is something you just bolt on and nothing really past that, but something like paint, my cousin put in about 6 hours a day into my Civic for over a week, doing bodywork and prepping it all, painting it, buffing it, only for the car to get destroyed not even a week later. I always thought that with something somewhat crappy like this, I won't hesitate to repair something with some rattle can paint or something like that.

I'm sure in the future once the car is more finished, I'll get it repainted, but that's definitely not on my to-do list right now.

Coffee can exhaust might be happening in the future, but it's going to have very similarly size piping leading up to it...

Nice and new with tint, respectable rims (16" & no larger) and new paint is what I sort of meant. :D

A color change from red is somewhat difficult to do, so I'll probably be going with some shade of red. Like I said though, it's not on my to-do list right now.

If red is what you want then I recommend this shade:

Ford (Dark) Toreador Red. My '07 Focus was this color and for a red it was pretty neat.
