Pokémon GO: Catch 'Em All in the Real World

Point is it won't be the dumbass driver getting killed/injured. Is that simple enough?

Edit: Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the game or people who play it, it's the irresponsible idiots that play/talk/text while driving. I lost my right leg to one of these idiots who was talking on her phone and made an illegal turn into a driveway collecting me and my motorcycle on the way, this is why the ''natural selection'' comment got under my skin a bit.

Your point is valid and very understandable 👍 I'm sure no such joke would've been made if it got someone else injured or killed.

I 100% agree with your viewpoint on playing Pokemon Go while driving and putting others at risk, but I just don't see how that explains your distaste for the natural selection comment. If anything, it seems like you'd agree with the viewpoint that driving while distracted is a stupid thing to do, which is what the natural selection comment was saying.

I mean, if he sandwiched a mom & baby in between the tree and he himself also died from the crash... calling his death natural selection would be valid, since he died from his own idiocy. That's what the term natural selection means... being naturally selected for death due to having bad traits, such as being an idiot and choosing to play a videogame while driving. The deaths of the mom and baby wouldn't be natural selection, obviously.

You make valid points about natural selection, I saw the comment as supposedly funny (maybe rightly or maybe wrongly on my part) which got under my skin. I just do not want to see others go through what I have and I can see, and have seen, this game being played irresponsibly,so I saw nothing funny about it.

So I went out today and found a gym that's the same team as me but I couldn't add my Pokemon to it... So I decided "hey, might as well see if I could fight them."

Bad idea. Ran right before he died. How do you fight in this game, anyways?

On one hand, I'd love that... get a super-sized load of supplies at a McDonalds-sponsored PokeStop, for instance.

But on the other hand, I really don't need anything to fuel my horrible McDonalds addiction.

Then again, all the Pokemon Go walking will balance it all out, right? Right??!! :(

Well, someone decides to blame Pokemon Go for their injuries after they walked onto a busy highway and got hit by a car while trying to catch a Pokemon. I wonder if the warning they give will protect them from these lacking of common sense people.

Here is the video, and the predictable responses against the subject of the video:

I hope so, stupidity shouldn't be protected.
In America.... you'd be surprised how many lawsuits were filed and won because there was no warning label to protect the consumer from being brainless (Hot coffee is hot! Do not iron while wearing shirt!) That's why I am curious if the warning the game gives at the intro is sufficient enough to absolve them of blame in situations like this.

You can't even put your cat in the microwave these days

You can't even put your cat in the microwave these days

That's why I've just been keeping mine running constantly all these years. If the cat was originally put in the microwave before it was against the law, what can they do?

As for the video...

"I put the phone down by my side" ...oh, so you weren't actively playing the game while you got hit crossing the road? So... it's the game's fault, how exactly? But let's be real here, she probably was looking at the screen... she's just saying otherwise to make it seem like it wasn't her fault, therefore it must be the game's! No hon, just because it purportedly wasn't your fault, that doesn't make it the game's... it makes it the driver's. You just want some easy money from the N-dawgs.

"This thing had her walking across the highway"... oh, so THAT's how it's supposedly the game's fault? Last I checked, Pokemon Go does not give directions on how to get to a particular destination. But even if it did give directions on how to get to a particular destination, it's still on you to make sure you're crossing streets only when it's safe to do so.

"In 300 meters, get hit by car while trying to catch Poliwhirl."

Another way of looking at it is... what if the driver was playing Pokemon Go?

Would a "it's that darn game's fault!" defense fly in that scenario? Yeah it'd fly... about as well as a Snorlax.

There's a Glasgow Pokemon Go! Pub-crawl this weekend that 700+ people have RSVP'd for on Facebook.

MOA here has one and I guess there is more than 2K already for it. Although it goes all weekend I only expect more to get there.

You've lost me. I'm a genwunner. :P
Synchronoise only works on pokemon that are the same type as the user. Its a psychic move. Umbreon is a dark type. Psychic moves will never work on dark types
Cryoganal is a genderless pokemon. Attract doesn't work on genderless pokemon.

So now I am level 10 with a 150 pokeballs, did the pidgey plus lucky egg evolve trick.
Can sell those off and do it over if I wanted too.
Girlfriend who challenged me is level 8 and has no pokeballs.

Edit: I managed to take down a Level 3 gym solo with a few hypno's and a jolteon.
Quicked grabbed the bonus, (Good thing since a few minutes later it was down)
Trained at another gym and put my 705 hypno in there that has been holding steady, (Mostly because of location)

I've caught eight Pokemon so far after getting it yesterday, seven of which were in my house and the other in my car. Who says you need to be active for this?

Walking around Buffalo River State Park I caught jack 🤬 and there's only one Stop.

Not at all what I was hoping for. :irked:

Pokemon know enough to stay away from NoDak

Edit: Nevermind, you're in Minnesota.
