Kasich is still in the running, I'd imagine a lot of Rubio's support would go to him should Rubio drop out.

As for Sanders, he looks like he's about to win Maine, but there's only 25 delegates up for grabs - to put that in perspective, Clinton won 37/51 delegates in Louisiana.

How come "Other" isn't an option?

Gold makes no sense to me. It's a metal that isn't much use for anything - attractive to the pillaging vikings I guess, but not very useful in a high tech world. I understand the libertarian side has a fetishistic fascination with it. I have a good friend who is a senior accountant with the largest gold mining company in the world. He doesn't recommend gold. My wife bought gold (against my advice :irked: ) at the more or less peak price. At some point in time it will no doubt prove to have been a "good buy" - it's a reasonable component of an overall portfolio. When the zombie apocalypse arrives, gold ain't going to help you much though.

I missed the party on the gold discussion. I'll just say that I agree that some people have a fetishistic fascination with it, and that it won't be much help in a zombie apocalypse (bullets are a much better investment for that scenario). But gold, like lots of other things, has intrinsic values (as others have touched on) and mixes that with rarity - which is why I think it's, as you say, a reasonable component of an overall portfolio. There are lots of other ways to shield value from inflation, and I always recommend that people go for a mix. I have some gold, silver, oil, platinum and lots of other things as well. Nothing physical, of course, which makes them useless in an apocalyptic scenario, but I do have bullets.

@Sanji Himura

Please add a "none of the above" or "won't vote" or "other candidate" option.

Might want to phone him up then and let him know so that he doesn't waste his time. ;)

So when DNC convention comes and he hasn't won, what will you say then. Or is it just going to be a stream of silence as if this part of your life never happened?

Sanders is complete garbage in comparison to say... Kucinich for instance. Sometimes my mind boggles at whom some might rally around.

No it'll probably be more posts for you to bitch about.

*cough*Trump*cough*

As if I would rally around him? I do see your point however, I cannot see how you like Sanders as you do, at least, for the sake of it, take a look at the better option I posted. A much better option, did you pass him by in the past?

He could have had a chance, you missed your opportunity perhaps because now you have to back Hillary or no one.

How does it not make sense? the Dems have had quite a few chances to make a move and a difference, so now they chose this Bernie thing?

I don't get it, that is where it stops making sence imo.

Was watching 'The Adventures of Kim Jong Un' on YouTube and saw where Trump got the idea of the wall from.

Because every time someone asks you to actually explain something you give a load of cryptic nonsense. The merits of the political beliefs Dennis Kucinich vis a vis Bernie Sanders would perhaps been easier to discuss had you led off with something like "Bernie Sanders wasn't half the instigator of social change that Kucinich would have been".

Even then though, Bernie Sanders is the upstart who has consistently legitimately threatened Hilary's last attempt at complete political power even though it was supposed to be easy for her this time; and Kucinich was the guy who got blown out by Obama and Hilary eight years ago (after being a semi-consistent last place finisher in the election the DNC probably could have just skipped four years before that); so it is probably safe to say that "contender" is overstating his presence a bit.

That's hard to argue with.

Although, I'm not in the military and don't exactly understand why they can't carry on base. I feel like they should be able to carry issued weapons on base for defense purposes and obviously turn them in when they leave base because they're government property. What do you guys think about that?

Bitch about what? Your going to bat for everything you take high interest in so long as someone disagrees, Touring gives a more subtle and albeit nicer view on the race than others here and yet you still take offense cause your vested interest is being knocked down. I mean instead of rallying the lost causes here to see it your way, why not actually volunteer for Sanders if it means that much?

I'd say the same crap to anyone on here who pulls up for Hillary or Trump on a regular basis, and from my last posts it's clear that I've been nothing but hard on trump supporters, yet you myopically find the target on your back as per norm. Good on ya.

So in a presidential election thread, I'm not allowed to stick up for the person I am voting for? (and a majority of others here as evidence by the current poll numbers at the top of this thread)

With who's spare time? Mine that I don't have?
