Post any oddities you've noticed in GT 2

Sorry if this was already posted, but I'm a bit lazy today. Here was something that I found odd, while replaying GT2 (by means that are not allowed to be discussed in this forum):



In the highlighted icon - it says "Histric".



Same thing with the icon - only it says "Muscule". You might have also noticed that it's the 1.0 GT2 version, with the license bug. I then tried to race on those raced (I have all licenses) and the competition wasn't IA-Class.

Again, sorry if it's a repost.

Don't forget Grand Valley Bast. Earlier versions of GT2 are full of other typos and weird stuff too, like "Nomal" at the Event Generator, the unfinished Toyota Prius description (Later finished). And have you ever seen what happens when you race modify a 1995 3000GT VR-4?

A thing I just noticed while racing at the pikes peak hillclimb against the Escudo. The Escudo had the default AI sound, while my kind of hybrid (a body swapped Escudo) had the actual sound of the Escudo engine.
Another one is a sign on the corkscrew in Laguna Seca raceway. There is a sign saying something regarding police.

I once did a licence test (the one with the Penzoil GT-R at 'Seca) and I did exactly the same time as the gold target time (can't remember it now). And, how do you think, which trophy I got?

I think you got the car or track messed up.

The license test for the Pennzoil GT-R is at Midfield. The Viper GTS-R is at Laguna Seca.

You got the Silver. The Gold, for example 11:400 - is from 11:399. .400 will be placed as Silver. I just had that issue yesterday with Supra License, and got Silver.

That I don't understand. Lancia Stratos on rally races makes sense, but not the GT40.

I have driven the GT40 off road. I forget how it drives though.

the GT40 was not bad in dirt tracks but not capable of beating the Cultus due power and oversteering problems

Today i was trying to do a suspension trick where front wheels will lift up of the ground and you gain speed more easier.
It has gone pretty good, but when i watched the replay at the exact moment where my wheels lift up the car in replay started to behave very strangely and then cut and next lap was played like nothing happened until again my wheels lift up and the same thing happened again.

Its similar to the replay bug when you braked before you crossed the start line and you never crossed it.
Try it for yourself! (GT-ONE '99 on test course in my case)

The A.I. sometimes forget what to do when crashing into a wall. This Elise GT1 for an example thought that it should go reverse when its rear end was facing the wall rather than go forward.

Just fired up NTSC GT2 and it appears they just forgot to add third (dont know how many there areat the momentpage.

But i like first column on the first page. It fits today too. No quantum leap in batteries has been achieved so all-electric cars are practically useless.

(something tells me that today they would not write it in GT6 or GT7)

You should hit that Elise to free it.

It kinda does but with an obnoxious whistling sound that gives you a headache after a 2 lap race

It sounds almost like cars in The Jetsons to me. Just a lot more painful for ears. I think there was something in some cartoon that sounded exactly like that, I just don't know what.
