Yeah, an old style VW beetle. My mate had 1 for his first car, it was like the Flintstones car in that it had no floor so you could put your feet down and push.

hah cool. did the engine run or was it foot power all the way? i really want to get a old bug soon. i like the '52-53 ragtops te best :D but i dont know how much they go for, i dont got a ton of money

I got out in a Superbird and went 217. :D

Right, but how did you get out of Smokey Mountain? I've nver even heard of this glitch!

KD: yeah, i've seen that show a couple times. It's great watching old footage of racing cars..kinda like the intro GT2 movie on the Arcade disc, back in the days when a friggin' engine didn't cost like a million dollars! Did any of you see the 6 hour Sebring race last weekend? It was raining on and off and the crews kept guessing on whether to put slick or rain tires on the cars. Each tire change costs mucho bucks!

Me neither. I was racing just to test how that Starlet races in the dirt, while I saw a blue think and was bounced into the air. I was going slower, and you just fell out of the world.

It did have an engine as well, it just needed help going up hills. Bugs aren't that expensive depending on the condition of the car, however they are starting to get rare on the streets.

i know this is due to the car's extreme light weight. but man was i in for a shock

buy a Trueno AE86. Upgrade to a stage 2 turbo, or whatever to crank up the HP, also weight reduction stage1. stock is okay too.

Select any track. Press on the accelerator! Now the car is doing a wheelie! the front wheels are in the air. I nearly flipped over!

Now try turning a corner. even more shocking.

another one.

in the japanese version of gt2 played on epsxe, when u upgrade your tires, the tires will be extra big and wide. It will extrude right out of the car. looks weird.

I have. In the very high powered contest with the trd tom's supra and hks dragster etc. i saw two tom's Altezza's collide into each other and there was two cars in one!

i have seen this glitch also. in a replay, two cars merged into one! then bounce far back from each other. i don't know if this is shown if played on the playstation. but there has certainly been some funky stuff going on in the emulator!

Ha ha i never tried this! I gotta check it out

yup.

when u decelerate. The opposite. Defies physics!

I don't think this glitch is found in the US Version when run on the epsxe. Im running a japanese version of GT2 on epsxe.

thats pretty awesomeo.

I recently got a psx emulator on muh computer, so i can play gt2 and grab some handy screenshots with the print screen key ^^.

I just discovered something new: I was doing the World Cup race @ Rome in a '92 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4. This is the 4th race in the series, and as we all know by now the car sounds are crappy and barely audible. I saved my race anyways, it was a good one...my car spent the entire race in 4th, 5th, 3rd, 2nd place. Finally on the last lap i passed the leading Vector M12 and won. A half hour later, i wanted to watch the replay i had savedd. Well guess what? It saved the replay but not the crappy sound, so now i can hear everything fine.

Odd,verry odd.

Now try to push an AI so it will slip and does a 360 degrees corner. Impossible.
But when a AI pushes you, whoppa, you've made a 360 degrees corner. How annoying

yeah it seems the AI is glued to the road most of the time. i think the only time ive seen them spin is in vipers, corvettes etc. at laguna seca

Yeah, i've seen it happen here and there. Here's the thing--when you corner, it's almost like you have to think of what your car will do, how it's gonna react--but you ALSO have to predict what the AI is gonna do, which is often an entirely different, unrealistic move!!! This is what my Rome Short post in the frustratin tracks thread is all about: you hit turn 3 and if there's a car directly behind you, it's a gUARANTEE that it'll try and cut INSIDE your car and push you into the wall! Oooooh that pisses me off! >:(

Then I'm overtaking on a track,I am faster than him,and he pushes me off. But this NEVER happens to the AI. Annoys me so much,I even spin more :P

Yea ive tried to spin em also but there totaly glued :grumpy: and why in the convertible cup, (gt2? gt3) theres a motorsport elise, but when i try to enter with it it says i cant....

I've never tried spinning another car, i guess i try too much to hang on to whatever shred of realism GT offers--but it's an interesting discussion. There have been times when i accidentally clipped another and it got sideways, but never a full-on spin. That's weird about the Lotus Motorsport...yet another GT2 inconsistency.
