PRAIANO'S TUNES : SETTINGS FOR GT7

Hey mr praiano, quick question: So i've been seeing some testing on different wheels. Size, rims wide v normal, offset wide v normal.
I keep seeing that the only real difference is a small PP gain from going up in wheel size, but rim width? No difference. Offset? No difference. In PP or in real life performance in the testing i've seen and what testing i've done anyway.

Also, the really curious one: WIDE BODY. Why? Seems every car you build you have wide body on. Wide body increases drag so decreases top speed but just barely.

Is this indeed just cosmetic or do you know something that no one else knows?

*Love the patreon btw. you guys got it more and more organized and easy to use. To all who are on the fence? It's so worth 5 fn dollars a month bro.
When you install the wide body option only , it's a lost of PP due to increase aerodynamic coefficient (Cx) of the vehicle ... i suppose.
Offset add more grip because the larger width of the car allow more weight transfer on the side = + rotational G (Grip)... i suppose.
Wide rims don't seems to do a lot of things.
Rims size and height of the tire give differents results. Sometime a low tires give more PP , sometime the higher tire with small rim give more PP......

Mazda Roadster S ND '15 - 700PP - Racing Soft Tires - AllTrack - SWAP - 1.40

Wide body
Rims size 18" - Rim Width Wide - Offset Wide

Front B - Side B - Rear A - Wing Custom

Swap engine LT1-Corvette (Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray)

PP settings is full of bugs. ECU , limiter , ballast ..... it's a mess.
Anyway , it's a top 3 700PP road car.

Enjoy your drive.
Also works great with the new 787b swap. Thanks.

Just thought i'd share this for those who are intersted. This guy seems pretty thorough and this has so far helped me to i guess fine tune a few of P's tunes. Just understanding it and his explanation both excellent. He has a series. it's pretty new.

That’s a very clear explanation, but remember, you can’t apply the same numbers to every car, even if they share similar characteristics like weight, power, torque, and downforce. Each car must be felt as a unique case. There are no fixed rules in GT—it’s all about testing, feeling, and applying corrections.

Everything he said is spot on, and you can definitely use those tips as a starting base, but the final result can sometimes vary greatly.

He’s also right about the importance of Springs (Natural Frequency), but the most critical parameters for road cars in GT are a combination of:

  • Ballast
  • Differential
  • Downforce
These are all fully interconnected, and you can achieve the same behavior in a car using different tuning approaches.

Just seen the thread update - paying for tunes? Really? What's the cost supposed to cover, virtual fuel bills?

How do you deem a few replicable clicks chargeable, it's not like a 3D model that is actually your work.
it's for the time spent in the game. When it comes to "trading" virtual items, in 99% of cases you don't pay for the item/information, but for the time needed to obtain it... I am not a supporter of such an exchange. But we live in a free world where everyone does as they please.

If you dont want to pay, dont pay. But please stop visiting this thread and complain about it, go away. Do it yourself or use someone else's tune.

Yeah I have been away for quite some time to come back to this, paying actual money for tunes, get out of here, not in this lifetime buddy, you can keep you tunes and go up a tree, I am never coming back here.

I also have a feeling some users have troubles with constipation here

I will deeply feel your absence. I don’t know how I’ll manage without your knowledge and kindness.

It's his Patreon and his message board thread. So you're the one who's "getting out of here". I get it, $5 a month is a lot for some people. If that's you, then reprioritize your life, and don't put games at the forefront of your expenditures.

It's been a while since I visited my friend @praiano63 garage and I see that it's becoming a big mess!!!! This is a discussion thread about cars and not about the choice @praiano63 made to charge for his work. I am an old tuner (GT6, GTS and GT7) under the name Jeje6410 GT Tune Garage which I would find on this site. And this is really very time-consuming and tiring work. You can't imagine how much time it can take to make cars easy to drive for as many of you as possible. And you can't imagine the joy it brings when we get positive feedback on our work.
Now that my friend charges a subscription for you to enjoy his cars, that's his problem. Personally I would never have done it, but there comes a point when you have so many requests for cars that you spend your time doing just that, to satisfy everyone. So it's normal on his part. And I think a lot of people here would have done the same thing. Don't tell me no one would have done it.
Now if you want to discuss this, open another thread and stop spamming this thread. GT-Planet will not prohibit you from opening a discussion thread on this subject (that's the good thing about this site, is that you can talk about whatever you want (well, almost))
It's okay to give your opinion but please not here. You can't imagine what Praiano63 has done for the GT series so that you can play and have fun. Personally he gave me a lot of advice when I opened my garage on GT6 in December 2015. And I am grateful to him because thanks to him I continued on GT Sport and GT7. And he didn't have to do it but he did it with pleasure like when he makes cars for you.
So leave him alone if you want him to continue to please you. Those who are not happy, look elsewhere Thank you.

Good drive and enjoy

PS: don't give up my friend @praiano63 and thank you for everything you have done for this community.:gtpflag:
Mr. Praiano does a really great job, I've been using his songs for a long time and they really help you progress through the game and make it more fun.

Enjoy your drive.
Hi Praiano! I have a quick question about this tune: If I'm not doing the engine swap, would the suspension and diff stay the same, or would slight alteration be needed?

According with difference of weight if there is some, you can use stiffer springs .
Thank you kindly!

On another note, kudos to you for deciding to put value to your time and knowledge!

The chumps coming in here to whine and moan about your decision are probably the same folks that like paying musicians and artists with "exposure", and haggling prices with people in the trades..

Hi Mr Praiano sir!

Been following you for a while on here and your tunes have really helped me enjoy the game even more, thank you!

I just took the plunge and subscribed to your Patreon service , paid my subscription fee but disappointed to see I still I can’t access your tunes in the app. Am I doing something wrong, or does it take a day or so for the membership to be registered ? It still says I only have free access, and have included my welcome email for my membership ( see photo)

UPDATE: I can get full access on the Patreon website but still locked in the iOS app

Please can you help and support my query and issue

Many thanks

Hey Mr. P,

Any plans to do a Nissan Skyline R34 SWAP (R92CP engine) and a Porsche 911 GT3 RS SWAP (RSR engine) at 700PP? Those were my favourites for le Mans 700. I've just been using the pre-update 1.49 configurations tweaked a bit, or the newer 800PP configurations with the power throttled blindly.

Your new MP4 700PP tune reminded me that the fuel efficiency is a tough nut to crack. R34 with the R92CP gets 4 laps on FM1 even on Automatic.

EDIT: r34 SWAP comment on the non-swap Patreon post: https://www.patreon.com/posts/nissan-r34-gt-r-113821396
