Who is saying they "only want things for free"? The discussion is about the Jag not the rest of the cars in the DLC pack which I think everybody was happy to pay for.
The Jag is a special case since PD included lower quality cars in the standards so that they could ship a game with 1031 cars instead of 200 cars. I think given the choice it was the right thing to do.....but that doesn't stop it from feeling wrong if I am then asked to pay to upgrade those same standards.
If I am working and have to produce a lower standard of work because I am rushed for time it's understandable.....but I dont then go back and charge my customer to bring my work up to the standard they were expecting of me in the first place.
See this is the reason why PD shied away from saying they would upgrade standard to premium. You people think just because it's already in the game it should be free. What kind of twisted logic is that? Someone still had to sit there and scan these models, sort out the data, compile it and then test it what you think that should be free too? This sets a precedence which is why I feel PD should never upgrade anything, just build new cars and save that for GT6 so we don't get this kind of twisted thinking from people. When people don't think they should pay for something they twist logic in ways that boggle the mind in order to make their position right.
The car looks great being modeled to a greater level of detail, why are you paying for it? It cost money to do the work, the tools needed to run the scans, the money to pay the electric bill for using the power to run said tools, money for gas as I'm guessing they either traveled to or had the car shipped to them. Money is being spent everywhere, but you want something free. I concede this is beyond ridiculous, guaranteed there will be more of this I want something free just because of some other twisted logical nightmare people can concoct. Sorry for going well off topic, consider me done with this subject in this thread PM me if you have anything to say.
