Not sure if I'm gonna like having a mix of currently used gt3 and outdated ones in the same championship series in career mode. Maybe if they're separated by classes like pro, am, and pro am?

That's what I meant a few posts up, have to split them up otherwise it could be a few seconds between the old and new gt3s.

pro-am cars in le mans series can't be the latest and greatest, a.e.

But yes, this year everyone is moving forward in most series i suppose.
On the other hand, when pc2 started and licensing and all that was on the plate (and this stuff needs to be done very early) 2017 season cars weren't even announced in some cases.

ADAC GT master, a.e, still run both versions of the SLS side-by-side in 2016 which i believe should be the "guide line" for cars in pc2 .I can be wrong so don't quote me

And that's where BOP comes in. It's an issue that the real series have to contend with so why should that not be the case here?

Exactly, take the 2015 Bathurst 12 hour, the pole time was a mid 2.02 in the Audi lms ultra, then in 2016 the new mclaren 650s with van gisbergen behind the wheel he did a 2:01.2. So the new cars need to be quicker than the old ones.

Seeing as they have the TCR Opel, I can see some others on the way. (Not because insider info btw)
Assuming there's an article, I think an appropriate title for it would be: Stefano Comini wins everything.

The track also got quicker. I'm sure the tyre technology was better as well.
Sometumes, just because the car us new, doesn't mean it has to b faster. Weren't F1 cars slower than previous years? Aero, tyres, engine power, rpms.

I swear, Nissan is to be my manufacturer of choice, but if that RS3 LM is in the game... Mmm, mmm, mmm.

Agreed the track did get quicker but the cars were still faster. F1 isn't really something to compare to aswell, it is a constantly changing sport with 'new ways of the future' being developed, they also don't refuel anymore which is why the 2004 cars are so fast.

Even when cars refueled, the grooved tyres came into play.

No doubt the manufacturers are improving the cars throughout the year. I think it'll still be about driver skill as well.
In PC1(on XB1- D-pad), I couldn't get the most out of the Bentley(stock settings). The Corvette and Caddy were nice to drive. The Ruf topped out too early. The AMG GT had decent handling, but the 12C GT3 and Audi felt the most predictable of the GT3 cars. Maybe there are players, that were able to make the Bentley as quick as the 12C.

I don't tune in PCars. How will BoP be affected once players start adjusting settings?

If it helps, there are no Nissan TCR cars.

BoP isn't set with stock settings. That would lead to extremely unbalanced cars.

Oh, look. It's the proper version of the 720S video.

Interesting... Props to SMS for investing the time on limited funds to do this, and being upfront with it. Some game franchises are low in communication about what they do (*cough*Gran Turismo*cough*)

I'd love to ride the curbs like these guys do in Project Cars 2
My wish as well.
The closest this can be done in PC1, is at Zolder. The second right-left chicane. The Group A car's steering grip, is nothing I have experienced in GT or Forza.
With the Sierra: Brake hard, turn right immediate left, turning right out of the chicane: feather throttle turning right, release steering a bit, nail throttle, straighten up for a moment, prepare to lift a bit over the blind, slightly left crest. Awesomeness.

What would really be cool, is a team member that could be a live engineer. The driver could just concentrate on the job at hand, while the engineer informs about tyre wear & fuel and who they are racing overall.

You'd hope that would be in to make the co driver/ real driver swaps even better. I mean if you look on pcars 1 you can see a bit of the telemetry when spectating so hopefully that is more in depth with your teammate!

Even letting the driver know what tyre compound an opposing player just put on. Helps to strategize an undercut or maybe wait out the weather, yellow condition, fuel use, etc.

This is exactly what iRacing allows, so I hope something similar is possible.

We already do this in our GT3 Endurance league. I have 3 PC1 setup in my basement and we are 3 teams with 3 drivers on each team. Our races are from 4 hours to 12 hours. The driver has no HUD. Just the screen wheel/pedal, seat and a headset. Then the rest of the team looks at a tablet with all the info. Both the computer and the tablet runs Skype, so team and driver can communicate by using the headset. Just like in real life ;o). It works perfect.

Nice.
So, briefly, when the drivers pit, teammates physically switch places?
