About the dbr1-2, the bias of Pcars 2 seems to focus on Hybrid Lmp1 (that is why we don't get the r18 tdi either) which tends to build a better balanced class (and allows us to dream about getting the 919 hybrid).
I'm also worried about that cause that means we're not getting a diesel lmp1 lineup (r10, r15+, 908 hdi fap) which I would like as well.
For the mp4-12c, we've already discussed that, they are upgrading the car list by more recent cars (here the 650s gt3) as they did with the r8 lms
Ah well, seems like I'll have to buy PCARS 1 just to drive the DBR1-2 then.
Personally I'd prefer them retain the older GT3 cars. SMS can assign them to a slightly slower class if they can't rival the new GT3 cars (just like how ADAC listed them as 'Last Generation' cars in the Nurburgring 24 Hours, if I'm correct), and there are enough of those old GT3 cars to form a class. Still, I understand their decision.
Thanks for the answer.
Why should they leave a place for another manufacturer?Only "problem" is the SLS GT3.
Could have deleted that and added an SMS-R Jag GT3.
A question for any WMD personnel, why doesn't Ferrari let you model the 488 GT3 with the proper rear-wing? You have the GTE wing on both aero kits. I know the first GT3 car revealed at Mugello had the same wing on both models, but that's changed:
The side flaps of the wing are larger.
I think a large part of the Aston and Audi LMP cars being removed will have been they only had each other to race if you take the hybrids away. Every class in pCars 2 has been expanded by quite a bit. SMS have also said in multiple interviews they don't want just 2 cars per class.
And I wonder why SMS modelled the latest Mustang in GT4 the way they did. It doesn't resemble any GT4 Mustang that I know of, but rather a copy of Vaughan Gittens drift Mustang with a large rear wing added. It looks kind of out of place in GT4 imo with its weird guards and big wing.A question for any WMD personnel, why doesn't Ferrari let you model the 488 GT3 with the proper rear-wing? It's not about leaving a place. Whether by manufacturer's decision or not, each GT3 seems to be an updated version. I'm just saying why not create an updated car in lieu of an "old" model. Why should they leave a place for another manufacturer?
There's always some pressure to 'gamify' things such that the harsh realities don't overly affect enjoyment. So maybe we give those old tyres a little more headroom... I want it to be clear though that what we are doing is generations ahead of the competition and I know what they are doing.
I didn't look to the thread for a while as i'm moving to a new house...and just wow what a game!!
Now i can't wait! I do not even have the kitchen but i already bought a 50" Sony screen to play the game.
It seems like quite a few tire companies are willing to work with SMS on tire physics. Any ideas on what multi-million dollar race cars are being referenced for DLC?
For some reason, I'm thinking Super Touring. But that's more 3 in the world I think. It seems like quite a few tire companies are willing to work with SMS on tire physics. Any ideas on what multi-million dollar race cars are being referenced for DLC?
I could tell you but I'd have to..you know...It seems like quite a few tire companies are willing to work with SMS on tire physics. Any ideas on what multi-million dollar race cars are being referenced for DLC?
I noted the difference in the Redbull sound in PCars2. There should be a video released shortly of the Miata drifting and you can clearly hear the difference in sound from the car in PCARS 1.It seems like quite a few tire companies are willing to work with SMS on tire physics. Maybe koenigsegg. One of them possibly being the One:1 or CcxIt seems like quite a few tire companies are willing to work with SMS on tire physics. Any ideas on what multi-million dollar race cars are being referenced for DLC?
I can't play the video for some reason even after I turn off all my ad blockers. I think the effect that you are referring to is probably reverb and not the actual engine note itself. I agree that the effect is too exaggerated and it may change in the release version of the game. The video I was referring to could be the same one as in the article but the one I saw was on the WMD Forum. In that video of the RadBull that is embedded into the article, I find it has an "echo" to it that makes it sound like it was recorded in a massive garage on a dyno. Somehow it just doesn't sound like an outdoor environement.......
They are still working on AI - until we have a final product its any ones guess. On an article (I put the link below in French), they say that the AI is bad and that it recalls the dark hours of GT. There is already no offline custom championship, if in addition, the AI is bad, Project cars 2 would be a game for online players only?

Otherwise, the rest of the game is very good according to the article.
