if you really care about many AI opponents...

1. fire up R3E
2. select Nordschleife VLN or 24h with 99 AI opponents
3. ....
4. Profit

btw there's a video on my YT channel of a 100 cars race in R3E :-D multicam etc

oh, here it is:

terrifying, if you ask me.

I'm a little disappointed that it's only 16 players for online but muti class racing for online will still be fun even with only 16 opponents. One of the things im still curious about is will we able to name our lobbies for online. I'm talking about consoles players. Not PC. Having that feature alone will make online more organized. That way we don't have to take a guess of wether a room is clean or dirty.

Most leagues probably weren't gonna go nuts with 3 or 4 classes anyway. Two classes, 8 per class is a decent amount. If you can make it uneven then 6 and 10 would be even better if less people want to run the higher (more difficult to drive) class.

So same as pc1? Which I'm more than happy with

But there are smaller grid sizes in pcars2 than pcars due to the improved physics engine, not because of the number of pits.
if you know it better, why do you ask.
Quickly compared the gridsizes on the dedicated server for pCars 2. There are more or less the same numbers.
Gridsizes online on tracks with more than 32 pits are cut to 32 , sure.
Grid sizes for existing PCars 1 tracks with lower than 32 pits are mostly the same.
There were some changes in layouts , so on 2 or 3 tracks ther are some lower numbers.
so you're spreading useless rumors :banghead:

sometimes im disappointed of 200$ console players moaning about reduced features compared to 1000$+ PCs.
You can't reach the topspeed of a Tesla with an electro bike just because the weight/powerbalance is similar and both are driven by batteries.
Only in free fall.:P

I tried this, but my PS4 says no.

There are three answers in in 16 minutes. Cannot be one. Look at the timestamp or the mods will visit you : p
This may help you in the near future

Thank you wise guy. I read a post and reply. Business as usual
No you triple posted  that's not allow and it makes the mods not so happy :)

You can either take friendly advice from your fellow forumers or wisecrack like a smart:censored: and ignore it and leave it for the mods to deal with. Your choice. You think @ozwheels is mentioning the multiple posts for his own amusement? He's trying to help you.

No problem. I read a post and answer if possible. I read another post 2 minutes later and answer too . Then i answer another post 12 minutes later. Unfortunately i havent the time to look at the end of the thread, to check who was the latest. There could have been 10 other posts inbetween.
Also i am not here to ask questions, as i own and test pCars since 2 years, i'm here to give answers. So some mods will hopefully apologise my style.

:scared::scared::scared: so the forum rules do not apply to us WMD guys? Cause we're basically gods?

smh

But I agree... I probably wouldn't edit my post to answer to another post 12 minutes later...

I'm sure one will be along shortly with an "apology" just for you:lol:

I'll be blunt, you have two options here:

Option 1: Stop double (and triple) posting and use the edit (and quote) button(s) where necessary. It isn't much of a hassle at all. This is the ideal solution.
Option 2: You continue to do as you please thinking you're exempt from the rules that everyone else follows with little issue, and these informative posts will mysteriously disappear.

As a reminder, you nor anyone else here are excused from the rules.

Interesting FAQ: http://www.projectcarsgame.com/project-cars-2-faq.html?lang=en

And, an answer to a question I had:

Vehicle Damage?

Full damage, both visual, and mechanical, come with Project CARS 2. You can turn the damage off, of course, but if you don’t, you won’t be driving away unscathed from your 200mph wreck into a wall, that’s for certain. New to Project CARS 2 is how damage is repaired; whereas in Project CARS, damage was fixed almost instantly. In Project CARS 2, the amount of time it takes to repair a damaged item (suspension, brakes, aerodynamics/body work, gearbox or engine) depends on the area being repaired. Each one takes a different amount of time, but having to repair all of them will take up to 10 minutes. Some parts, such as aerodynamics/body work and brakes, take a lot less time to repair when compared to repairing the gearbox or engine. You can choose what areas you want to repair in your pit strategy, and also make last minute adjustments whilst out on track via In-Car Management.

The problem, IMO, is that it took a huge hit to "activate" damage. A lot of bad driving was allowed before you had a performance hit. When you go straight into a wall and your wheels fly over that´s good, but damage should be a lot more sensitive to hits, like in real life.

It doesn´t need to be visual, because we know the limits, but damage in performance should be more sensitive, to be more realistic.

I can´t believe i´m saying this, but GT5 set to permanent damage was a great system, you couldn´t escape a couple of hits, your car would be limping to the pits meaning that a single hit could take you off the race.

Damage in Pcars1 was way too forgiving.

In my current PCars league races, we race with full damage on.
I run VRHive that shows me the damage on my car, and if I bump someone I can immediately see aero damage in the numbers and the car will lose a few km/h of top speed.
Similiarly, if the bump is in the front of the car, you'll immediately see a rise in water temp.
I've also had a number of career races where small bumps have added up to me having to nurse the car home.

The main thing I wanted with the damage was for the repairs to take a little longer, so you 'paid' for your accidents.
But, I didn't want iRacing's repair time, which is way too excessive in my opinion and ruins your race.

I'm happy with what has been said about damage repairs in PCars 2, but I want to see it in action before I make a final judgement on it.

No mention here of being able to adjust the Tire Pressures for the upcoming Pit Stop within the "ICM". Surely this feature is within this menu, right?

I think that would be included in tyres.
You'd think. But the video we've seen of it in action show you can only select the Tire Compound and had nothing to do with the Pressures. This would be one of those "minor" issues which would become a big deal if it is missing if only because of the Live Track feature. How are we supposed to be able to predict the Track Temps at every Pit Stop during a 24 hour race? No amount Pit Strategy planning would have me at the right Pressures in a race in mixed "live" conditions. And who would want to plan out 15 to 20 Pit Strategies, covering every remote possibility, in the first place? That's madness.

This is one of those funny features other games never have to worry with. You can't change your Tire Pressures on the fly in iRacing, but you never need to. The track never changes. The time never changes. Nothing ever changes. If Live Track is as awesome as we hope and we think it will be, this needs to be an aspect of the "ICM".

Me: (Push to talk) "Change front tyre pressures to 175."
Crewchief: "Tyre pressures changed for next pit stop."

Now that would be awesome!
Reality (using Google talk to text:mad:):

Voice: "Change front tyre pressures to 175"
Crewchief: "Chain fonts try pressing to 175?"
Voice: "No, change front tyre pressures to 175"
Crewchief: "No change frontier press yours to once and five?"
Voice: "CHANGE. FRONT. TIRE. PRESSURES. TO. 175."
Crewchief: "Change front tire pressures 2175?"
Voice: "Ugh, I give up"
Crewchief: "You give up? Ok mate, tire pressures will stay the same. Have a great pit stop:sly:"
