Anyone else think the Cayman GT4 actually sucks to drive on default setup? Way too understeery.

I disagree. It's loose if anything and it's fun to drive. I'm currently driving that car in the Porsche Cayman GT4 series in career mode. It's loose but you can control it at least.

Its very twitchy, and uneasy, yes it is controllable, but its not fun to drive, to me at-least. It feels very unbalanced, and fighting for it, its always trying to slide its read out, but TCS kicks in, and kills the power, but like argh. Its like driving on an ice rink with it.@Whitestar was struggling driving it as-well. I prefer driving the Aston Martin GT4, it feels much more balanced then the Cayman GT4.

In the hopes Ian reads this, what do you guys think about Slightly Mad adding Fiorano Ferrari test track ? perhaps part of the Ferrari DLC. I dont beleive this has been included in many games. The last time I played it was on a Japanese Import of Ferrari 355 Challenge on the the Dreamcast. It was challenging and fun to drive for sure.

Just had a great online race. Gt4 class only like 3 or 4 people in the lobby, but it was worth it. Heavy fog at spa with a mandatory pitstop, and the Cayman and I were really going at it. He had me in the straights and fast bends, but I had him on braking. After the pit stop, final lap, he is 1 second behind me. Instead of crashing, I decide to let him pass since I know he is faster than me nearly the whole track. Final straight he brakes nearly 30 meters too soon (it was reaally foggy, I don't blame him), and I squeaked by on the final turn. It. Was. Glorious! I had so much fun. Was really thinking of quitting doing the online portion until this race. Gained me 12 points, too.:)

I think a nice addition would be just a simple wheel/controller symbol next to each online players names in your lobby indicating whether they’re using a controller or a wheel.

I’d appreciate it; it’d just make some of the losses feel a little less disappointing if you know it was a wheel player that beat you by a decent margin :P. And be able to more accurately gauge your performance compared to the times other controller users in the lobby are managing.

Guys, don’t be so hard on yourselves. I know many people that use a controller and get my butt handed to me pretty regularly. There are fast controllers users out there, don’t fret.
Like the old saying goes practice, practice, practice.
Cheers fellas!

I really want to do some career stuff just because I'm getting bored thinking of combos and it will curate that for me. But I'm afraid of it slowing my game down again...

As a pad user I'm noticing that its hard to get throttle at 100%. I use the right stick for throttle and I'm finding myself having to ever so slightly adjust my thumb to hit the "sweet spot" and see the green throttle bar go to 100%. With PCars1 and GT this was never a problem. I could still hit 100% with the stick pushed diagonal up. Is there a setting that directly effects this that I can change?

TLDR: throttle wont hit 100% on controller when the right stick isnt perfectly pushed up.

Thanks
There is an option in the controller settings to calibrate your wheel for clutch, accelerater and brakes which seems to work for Ds4 too It looks like it has fixed my dodgy R2 button and the cars are revving properly (The green bar is filling all the way). I guess if you do the same with your right stick but not pushing fully forward you will get some more response.

I really do love this game. Nothing feels more involving, more realistic or more intense. Except when you're thrashing everybody on the Nurburgring Short Course that is! I'm pretty good on that track. Also, I decided to try out the skip to end glitch for myself and sure enough, I was put back to 20th. Fastest time was a 1:25 something, 3 seconds faster than my best, which put me at the top of the timesheets before I hit skip. Yet it was quite interesting, because I was able to see how the AI behaved on the sometimes narrow Long Beach track. The little roundabout with the flowers in it proved quite a challenge for the AI to get through - they basically crawled through it. I made up about 10 positions in a lap, which was fun. I was witness to a major crash on the front straight (or curve if you will) just before the turn 1 braking area on about lap 4. Turns out a Porsche Cayman lost control seemingly whilst in a sidedraft with a Ginetta - I initially thought there was contact before I looked at the replay. Ploughed into the wall at quite a high speed, and he even took out his team mate! I had to move to the very left of the track, well of the racing line. I came third with a damaged front end - I nearly took second but I came into the corner way to hot and hit the wall. I was on the inside but I couldn't pull the car up in time. (I was driving a Cayman GT4 FYI)

I still cant believe how freaking good project cars 2 looks in rain.

^ yeah and how it feels too. You really feel the wheel pulling when going through wet patches. Love the sound of that too.

There are a few cosmetic niggles, but the Game is amazing anyway. The XJR9 in LM form has the wrong wheels too, golden multispoke instead of black 5 spoke, which in my opinion is much easier to notice than rivets or bolts as a wing mount. I dont really mind altough it is my favorite racing car. Its a gift to have it in a game of that Sound and Quality.

Looks almost real!
And yes the Cayman wasn't easy. But thanks to the Dog's tip of softening the rear anti-roll bar it became a lot more balanced and got rid of that oversteery nature. :) Suited my style of driving much better.

Just played with a pad for the first time and I'd just like to give props to SMS. Nailed it. đź‘Ť

I was 'that guy' who never shut up about the first game having poor controller settings so it only seems fair I eat humble pie on this one.

I'm being a super nerd and gathering power-to-weight ratios for every car in game. I have post-it notes for each class. What I'm going to do is find the average for each class and use that to the classes in order, then in each class I will go from lowest to highest. This is so that everyone can find any two cars that they think might be an even match and try it out online. I know right now we can't make lobby names to tell people which two cars but if they join and see there's no class designation and everyone is in one of two cars they'll get the idea right?

Don't know if that was your first time on that track, but if it was it's quite understandable. LOTS of folks miss that braking zone. It's quite a scary corner on the first lap in open lobbies.
Not my first time on this track
What happen was i just got a little to acceleration happy and the next thing you know (Wall) :(

Was it at the devil COTA track he was racing on? I have my suspicions.
