I would do but it's hard to hear when to downshift with music on. Upshifts not as big a deal in most cars cos of the shift lights.

I like playing Dark Souls with music on though. I find it a lot more relaxing.

Drunken Laps of The Ring? Sure, music is fun for anything like that. Sometimes I try more serious racing with music in the background, but -at best- it doesn't make me any worse, so it usually doesn't last. Playing guitar while watching the session replay though, that's always good.

I always listen to music while playing driving/racing games, through the console itself with a USB stick. I sometimes put on soundtracks from other racing games, such as Ridge Racer Type 4.

Is there a way to adjust the AI in Project Cars 2 to make more errors?

Me and a friend like to do championships online in PC2, and they usually last 90-120 minutes a race. While we aren't the most skilled drivers out there, we can still put up a fight against AI at 100 difficulty, but only on our good days. And in the longer races, we always make some mistakes, thus having to decrease AI difficulty to about 60 (yes, 60) in order to be competetive even with just a few mistakes.

What we would like is for the AI to be able to make more mistakes like human players do. Spinning in corners, braking way too late and overshooting the corner, bumping each other when fighting for positions and so on.

I am quite sure there isn't an option like this, but i'm all ears if anyone have suggestions. Maybe it's the aggression slider?

It's the aggression slider. I keep skill at 100-120 but aggression from 25-50. At 0 it's like playing Gran Turismo.

Would adjusting the aggression slider up towards 100 make the AI more prone to do mistakes? Even at say 50-60 skill difficulty?

They dont ever make mistakes really. Sometimes I see them get a bit slidey after some rubbing but they ways collect it. It's one thing is like to have since it makes them feel more human. I referenced the AI in GT5's B-Spec modemwhen pressure is maxed and they actually made mistakes. They were too slow in general but that mechanic with a faster AI would be great

High aggression settings only seems to up their dumb factor. Try Azure Coast at 100+ with the roadcars. They will pile into each other and basically clog the road. Utterly stupid!

What they don't do is defend much. Most starts are dual file, and they let you drive up the middle with hardly a move. The aggression factor just seems to be controlling how often and hard they divebomb you.

Don't get me wrong... compared to Gran Turismo, they are Senna. Compared to real drivers though... still Larry, Curly and Moe!

But having them below the magic 80 skill difficulty and up their "dumbness" to max would maybe give chance for AI mistakes? Or are they too perfect?
Say on tracks like Monza, Nurb GP or Le Mans (or simillar), with wide roads and not too many difficult corners?

From what I've noticed there are certain classes where the AI are more prone to make mistakes. Vintage Prototype A and Group C seems to always to have at least one car spinning out of control per race. And at certain tracks it's multiple times per race. Group C at Sakitto in the turn 1 and 2 area there can be 2 or more AI cars get tangled up in there a few times a race but I think that is because SMS has allowed the AI to take those turns way too fast.

I play the X Box One version and I find it amusing that you can drive an Audi R8 with PlayStation Livery and one Livery for the Honda Oval IndyCar has PlayStation 4 on it.

To those who play it on PS4, are the X Box 360 banners and the at the chicanes in Le Mans still there?

Finally a answer to this question i ask so long ago.

And to answer your question nope there are no banners anywhere on le man that say xbox.

Wow. I didn't knew that there are Xbox Banners on LeMans on Xbox One version.

I have another question. Did you contacted Bethesda for the Indycar Doom Livery, or it was part of Indycar license? :D :D

How do you drive that thing? I ask because a week or so I thought I'll give it a try and just couldn't do anything with it. Do you leave all of the factory aids on? Because it seemed like the stability control really interfered with getting it to turn. Try to go around a corner and I would get this hard thump and the stability light would flicker like the computer is trying to wrestle control away from me and make the car go straight.

I drive almost all the time a GT3 car, I started with the Mclaren 650s, but from the third patch I feel it slow, I passed to the Lamborghini Huracán and I love the sound of the engine, but I don't why, I didn't like the feeling of the car, I gave it hours of play to see if I changed my mind, in the end I diceded to pass and go with the Mercedes AMG and it was intanst love with the feeling, I love how I can take the corners with that car, and too I love the disign.
I tried the Audi, the Porch and the BMW and I didn't like them more than the Mercedes AMG.

About the AI mistakes, sometimes they commit accidents, not always, but in 1 of 5 races, someone go out of the road or crash with other vehicles, and sometimes they brake too early on the corners, I hate this last, because when I'm on the back of a car and he brake to early, I can't stop in time and I crash with the idiot of the front...

I tried to love the AMG but for me it seems just too understeery. And the gearing is kinda weird for me. Generally too long and I always seem to find myself in between gears.
Do you have a good base setup that gets rid of the understeer?

That is an amazing mileage!

My top 3 cars are:
Aston Martin DBR1/300 = 1836.56 miles (GTC 1959)
Lotus Type 25 Climax = 1800.80 miles (FD 1963)
Ford Mustang 2+2 Fastback = 1567.22 miles (Road G 1967)

The 1967 Mustang is the only road car that I've got any significant mileage on - I normally just drive road cars once, then move on. The Mustang is so brilliant to drive - everyone should try it! I'm definitely not a fast driver (especially by GTPlanet standards), but when I get into the perfect rhythm, I can get close to the lap times of Jack Brabham, Roy Pierpoint and the other stars of the British Saloon Car Championship when they used Mustang's in the mid sixties and the great thing about PC2 is that I can sometimes use the original tracks. I prefer to use the default loose setups on all cars and adapt my driving style to suit (wheel user).

My top 3 tracks by mileage are:
Silverstone Classic = 2379.31 (great in all weathers with all cars)
Spa Francorchamps Historic = 1962.24 (great in haze and fog with all classics)
Bannochbrae = 1288.42 (great day and night with classics and Group A)

Since I'm creating a few championships for myself I would like to know which cars can be used best on which tracks. Is there a complete overview of this or perhaps a general rule of thumb I could use.

I like to run like 5 or 6 championships simultanously split over very different cars / tracks so a complete picture would be nice.

My top 3 tracks by mileage are:

Daytona International Speedway - Road Course ( 6309.35 miles) personal favorite since 2000 when i saw the dodge viper win the overall 24 hours of daytona.

Monza Classic - ( 5177.38 miles) Fell in love with this track in ac and was so happy when i saw it was gonna be in pc2.

Circuits Of The Americas - ( 4115.12 miles) Love everything about this track :)

Wish we could see the miles of every other track :(

What type of cars are you interested in? If it is classics I would be happy to suggest some good combinations. Is it just for you or online with friends?

Right now I'm creating 5 championships: LMP, GT, vintage formula, road A and group 5. I use them only offline so I just use Excel to make 5 calendars and then I just walk through my own racing calendar. My schedule changes way too much to get into any kind of league racing.

For open wheelers, LMP and GT I have a pretty good idea which tracks i think are best but for the older, less powerful cars and road cars my experience is too limited and by this way I try to get more into them.

I'll send you a private message of suggestions rather than take this thread further off topic!

I use Authentic :)

Not even i'm crazy enough to drive this car without any assist :P

But that's what I'm saying, I used Authentic too and it's still drives terrible. I was just wondering if there was some secret thing that I wasn't using to try and help it become more driveable.
