I tested PC2 on a new account (my boost) so everything default and just switched off every assist and there's almost no feedback. You can't play on Xbox then.

Yeh I don't play on xbox, or use a controller.

2 things, you will lose all vibration if your controller batteries are low & make sure you have vibration turned on in the Xbox settings (not in game settings)

The vibration in PC2 is strong enough that I have it at 50%.

It was a joke. So why me and people from the thread don't have feedback? Does your controller vibrate during any braking? Because mine does. It's so annoying.
The controller vibrates under braking to simulate the suspension juddering, just like it vibrates when I drive over curbs, over a jump, hit another car or a wall (just at different strengths)

The triggers vibrates separately to the controller vibration when tyres slip under braking or acceleration.

No controller will simulate any form of side load force, forward/backwards weight transfer, aligning torque, fy/mz whatever it's called.

That's why we use ffb wheels to simulate this because a controller simply can't.

It's going nowhere. AC1 has it right. Maybe you have some bug and it works for you too but usually not for others. No, wheel is not necessary for almost complete feedback.

I put 10 more hours into PC2 and I am very satisfied. It's among the best pad racing games I have ever played even without FFB. It was a good decision to test PC2 again after PC3. The game has everything I need now. I didn't play it for long but still the game has so many features. And now I am finally happy I have the steelbook edition :D

Add the new features and I'd consider it. PCARS2 is lacking more than just cars.

EDIT: I suppose it's worth stressing the fact that I'd still consider it, and that I do not typically purchase "remasters" and the like of games I already own. For example, I had no interest in the NFSHP2010 or Burnout Paradise remasters, even for convenience on the Switch, because I still have my XB360 copies.

I love remasters! It's always good to send some money if you liked the game and newcomers can come. Racing games has hard position because of licenses for everything. You can't sell too much without it and it's pretty expensive.

Name it, curious to know which new features will fit Project Cars 2.

As for remasters, I would take one only if there is no way to play original, but if I have a disc for an older console, too will not bother. Played Dark Souls 2 on Playstation 3 recently and it felt just as good, if game is good it doesn't age.

The refinements to stick steering (with options as in PCARS2), upgrades and PIR (at least for roadcars), liveries, player-defined starting track conditions, Rivals, Breakout (because why not)...

Hell, the "magic" tires could be a realism option along with damage, tire wear, and fuel consumption, achieving the experience SMS intended for PCARS3 on a toggle.

@Wolfe Agree, customisation will be interesting, at least because it will expend every road cars groups and fresh up motorsport's events grid.

Well, other modes from PC3 kinda didn't clicked in me, even rivals in other words time trial challenges, where unlike in PC3, you will have a chance only with a good suited set up. Neither magic tires, since it simply split the player base, no one from sim crowd going to change habits, no one from arcade folks will ever bother with complicated systems.

After about 20 hours I tried other games like AC and ACC to compare and it's strange but I very like handling of PC2. It's so alive and satisfying. Probably no other game has the same feeling. It's like being the car :D I don't know why. Has anybody same good feeling from driving there?
Absolutely have to agree with you.
I’d recommend the Ferrari f355 challenge car for a sublime driving experience.
Also if you can, get a wheel, it’s the best money you’ll ever spend, even just something like a g29 or 920, you’ll wish you did it sooner, enhances the experience times 100!

Some cars just feel like an extension of myself. They react exactly as expected, they're very responsive and predictable. Even on the cheapest FFB wheel (T150) I have full control, all the feedback I need. It's hard to stop (driving :D) sometimes. My fav is definitely the Formula Renault 3.5. It's planted, not ridiculously fast, and sounds great. (shameless plug: link to me driving it at midnight around the Nordschleife in sig )

I've actually been thinking about trying out ACC for comparison, now that it's on sale and all...should I give it a go? How different does it feel?

Get the right car and track combination and PC2 is excellent and shows exactly what the Madness engine can do, get the wrong combo however and well, it's not quite so impressive.

On console its in with AC and ACC as the trio of best sims you can get, on PC not quite so much.

With a wheel the FFB and physics in ACC really shine through, well worth a go, but be aware it doesn't perform well on base consoles and (much as AC) the console versions are cut back in terms of options in comparison to the PC release. That said, when I was running it on my PS4 Pro it rated as my favorite title for physics and FFB accuracy.

Thanks for the tip! I know wheels a bit because I played on them for more than 10 years. Not the expensive ones like these days, my last was G25. Two days ago I played on it GT6 and it was great. The problem with a wheel is I don't have a space for it now. When space will be cheaper I will have a playseat for sure because it's the same game but different experience and I want both.

Funny thing is I don't have space for gaming PC either :D I would like to try rFactor 2, AM2 and others.

Exactly! Will try the formula. I tested old Lotus like in F1 but it was so much better than in F1. F1 is heavily assisted on a pad.

It depends on the HW. On X1X AC1 is OK most of the time, ACC is not good. On XSX, AC1 is great and ACC is playable but nothing special. From simulation perspective you must have it for sure. The is no other option. Every fan must have everything on consoles :D If you play on a PC, it's even better then.

Space is definitely a problem. Since I've made space for myself in my man cave garage I've bought a PC and steering wheel pedals and have been loving it. But that doesn't mean I've stopped enjoying the games on console with my controllers, I love them too. There's just more choice on PC that's all. Console or PC, it's all good !

Merry Chritmas.

Getting ready for nxt year's race cacing in Australia. I will give SMS onething, they fulfilled my virtual racing needs with each of these real categories

TCR, S5000, GT3/GT4, Touring Car Masters(vintage muscle cars), Trans Am, V8 Touring Cars

I use Formula Renault as S5000 and do one make Mustang TA races. Plus, to have BAthurst and at least Ruapuna Park with its varying layouts, gives me plenty of racing to watch in replays.

It really is one of the greatest games on console.

Also recommend playseat challenge, much more stable and comfortable than it looks, folds up with wheel and pedals attached

I have a Playseat Challenge and I have had it for 2 years.

It is shockingly stable and operates today as it did the day I bought it. It is rated for a certain weight and I am way over that weight and I have no problems.

When I was ready to get my first seat and I was watching videos several of the reviewers were shocked at how well it managed. I can agree wholeheartedly.

I have a CSL Elite wheelbase and wheel and load cell pedals and I love my setup.

I'm seriously considering a direct drive setup, not to make me faster but to give me more immersion, and I will have to finally replace the Playseat because I was told that cannot handle the weight of a direct drive wheel.

Really depends how high you have the torque.
Although weight may be an issue

Wait. Do you think I could fit a Fanatec DD1 on it? I will NOT have the torque up high. I don't want to break my wrists. Lol.

I'm just looking for a smoother, more immersive experience.
